There are too many wires . Normaly I would be okay with it, but he uses a board that aims to provide completely clean build. James can make AMAZING looking builds. But for the Project Zero this is quite dissapointing.
@@GameslordXY Good point. Being a project zero build does make any wires stand out that bit more because its sort of missing the point having any wires visible.
Finding it hard to even type a question or comment, - solid review on a well made, fairly budget case. The paintwork looked a bit blotchy to me, perhaps I need to wipe my glasses
I just bought a montech King, but i dont think this would have tempted me to buy it - its not bad at all, good in some parts and bad in others. but they need a bit of new ideas
Good review James, not sure I am too impressed with the case, its not bad as you said, which is pretty much about all you could really say by the end of the video. ETAX motherboard support at least
Just bought of these. Its pretty good overall but I've noticed the bottom fan on the front is making a slight (but annoying) rattling noise. If I stop it with my finger the noise stops. Is it easy enough to swap one of these out or just remove the bottom fan altogether?
Thanks for the breakdown! I have a quick question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?
Hey how did you connect 10 fans with one Controller. Did you use a motherboard adapter from the box? can you name Details I'm new to building computers :) i just dont get it
Fractal has pretty bad front panel acoustics is this case free of any of that? Do the fans generate about same type of noise when the front mesh is placed back on?
is this new? the video title is "auto"-translated ... its weird and unnatural. The video is in English, but the title is not. To the video itself: seeing a system in a case, and using it, really shows the pros and cons. Thats why i really like this kind of video. Also James opinion in the end of the video , reflects his experience during the process. That is a real good indication, if the case is overall a good or not so good product.
You didn't have another PSU? Not sure why they decided to have the hub powered by a pcie power cable.... I just won one of these cases from Phanteks. It won't replace my havn 420 but if I do use it I guess I won't use the hub. lol
That is a tricky one, Phanteks may have the edge in build quality even with that awkward side panel. Thermals will be pretty similar. I can't comment on cleaning as I've not used either case for a long period.
Amazing how Fractal, Phanteks and Lian Li used to lead the way and while Lian Li still arent bad, the other big players are going sideways, We have antec now and Montech and HYTE leading
That large blank panel just inside the front fans is disappointing. They should have put SSD mounts on the back of it. I don't see any SSD mounts aside from the drive cage. I do appreciate having 4 x 140mm fans in the case - it should do well in cooling tests relative to other cases. But if it uses an ultra fine mesh, then I don't see the point in having another filter inside the front cover. I thought Phanteks had found a way of using just one layer of ultra fine mesh on the front of their cases to improve airflow. At least it's only a 3 degree difference in your tests.
I like Phanteks, but they need a new exciting release, something like a halo product to give them some impact again. Perhaps the market decline dictates the pricing and development on this
Dont mind taking the top panel off to do a build even if there's loads of screws. Its not like its something you are going to have to do on a regular basis is it?
No but it can be done a lot quicker in some similar priced/spec cases. I suppose you will find this more annoying if you are building several systems with this case.

@@KitGuruTech it’s well made and looks good. For the price it’s hard to knock. Not sure i would buy it myself however. It’s kinda boring looking.
I like the mild tint, thats the perfect way to do a side panel without question
James your case reviews are the best on the net- coming to that conclusion now
That PCIE connections section was education, didnt know that with this case - why on earth are they using a PCI cable for power? thats mad !
Finally, a solid mid tower option with pre installed 140mm fans ! This looks great for a budget build :)
I liked the RGB effect you used around 8:15
£85 for this is brilliant value IMO
Back connector motherboards are the biggest change we’ve seen in years. Looking forward to seeing some clean looking builds.
Glad they included a proper hard drive cage for 3.5 inch drives. Some of us still need that!
I am glad to see more and more mesh cases! Will definitely have to check this one out
Great build quality for 90 quid, thats worth a lot, so many budget cases are so badly made now
Nice case that James makes look like a great case because its James.
It’s a good build overall. A few less cables would have been good
A james case review mid week ! awesome !
Very interesting to see the different configurations to see how it affects airflow and cooling performance.
Finally, it is out!!!! I'm really impressed with the air flow of this case and Phanteks hit a grand slam with this one!!!
As always super honest, and great overview, and analysis. I think it is good, seeing a lot of negativity and I think its a good job.
Great review as always! The thermal performance data is super helpful. Keep it up!!
Thanks, I'm glad you find it useful. 😊
Finding it hard to even type a question or comment, - solid review on a well made, fairly budget case. The paintwork looked a bit blotchy to me, perhaps I need to wipe my glasses
I like it, good review - the price point is pretty solid too
Any case is going to look pretty amazing with that array of components placed inside.
really worth it for the price point, at least its not like HYTE and bending everywhere
You guys are going to ruin Christmas for me because my credit card is going to be maxed out.
Weird about the radiator support, or lack of at the front. good info on the PSU too James, that would hurt me if I bought the case !
Redefining the word Budget
Great video james but i do miss those time lapse builds!!
Great build that tbh James ❤
Thanks
That’s a well made product for the price. Gets my 👍🏻👌🏻
Excellent chassis. Like the looks of it when it was all built into it.
The amount of fans that go inside a case nowadays is just crazy.
Nice they included the cut outs for some project zero goodness. Looks like more and more manufacturers are getting the tooling for this stuff.
It will be good to see the next generation of back connect boards, hopefully soon.
@@KitGuruTech Looking forward to seeing what you guys do with them
well I dont really rate this as being OK< its really good for the price. at least they are using good materials
I like the front cage speaker look concept
Great review James.
👍
Good hardware support but the lack of Rad support at the front seems like a massive oversight especially with EATX mobo support
I just bought a montech King, but i dont think this would have tempted me to buy it - its not bad at all, good in some parts and bad in others. but they need a bit of new ideas
Been waiting on this case since CompuTex 2024
All really nice stuff.
Thanks for watching!
Good review James, not sure I am too impressed with the case, its not bad as you said, which is pretty much about all you could really say by the end of the video. ETAX motherboard support at least
Finally a budget case that looks well made. My hyte case has disappointed me
Good review, I like the front appearance and overall it seems a solid design, if somewhat uninspiring.
Not really very much to say about this one - its just another budget case with issues
Those standard case fans are pretty decent for the money.
Sag central !
Really made a build to make that case look great.
I like it, stuff it with inexpensive fans and your favorite AIO or chonky air cooler and go.
Is it available in Newegg or Amazon yet? Not seeing it there despite the videos on the reviews
Montech King baby !
Just bought of these. Its pretty good overall but I've noticed the bottom fan on the front is making a slight (but annoying) rattling noise. If I stop it with my finger the noise stops. Is it easy enough to swap one of these out or just remove the bottom fan altogether?
Should they have included a few rubber grommets around those back connector cut outs?
is it possible to customize each fan or are they all synced?
For 84 quid and built in fans, lighting hub - really how much more can you ask for?
Thanks for the breakdown! I have a quick question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?
Hey how did you connect 10 fans with one Controller. Did you use a motherboard adapter from the box? can you name Details I'm new to building computers :) i just dont get it
Another oversized black box. with a few bits of RGB to make it shiny and blingy.
Think if it included sound dampening wouldnt that mess with the airflow?
Is the ultra fine mesh going to be enough to remove dust?
So no removable media support at all?
How do you power fans up like that
Will it fit Arctic liquid frezer 3 360 AIO on the top?
If I'm using an AIO cooler, is it better to put the radiator in the top or should I look for a case that supports it in the front?
Usually a top exhaust AIO is better for GPU temperature.
All pretty standard but nicely done.
Insane price.
Fractal has pretty bad front panel acoustics is this case free of any of that? Do the fans generate about same type of noise when the front mesh is placed back on?
Yes, i didn't notice any change in noise with the front panel on or off.
@@KitGuruTech Got ya, thanks for the answer!

I assume with 10 fans you set the profiles to pretty low speeds.
09:30 didnt know that about the power supply - thats a bit of a mess.

Seems ok. Like the finished build but mine wouldn’t look as good as that anyway 😢
just take your time, always the way to do things right!
👏👏👏
What's the difference between this and the G500A? People would think the 500 is newer when it's not.
G500A is a bit bigger and technically higher spec. However for a simple gaming PC i would pick this over the G500A.
@@KitGuruTech thanks!
Built to a price, and for most people its ok, at least it has some magnetic dust filters
Love the build. Shame you didn’t go project zero however.
We need more ATX project zero boards.
Can the RGB lighting sync with Asus Aura Sync or MSI Mystic light software?
I believe it can.
Phanteks G400a vs Cougar MX600 which one is better in terms of cooling, build quality and easy to clean?
That is a tricky one, Phanteks may have the edge in build quality even with that awkward side panel. Thermals will be pretty similar. I can't comment on cleaning as I've not used either case for a long period.
how would you compare ut against xt pro ultra ?
I've not had an indepth look at the XT Pro so can't comment sorry.
Could you just put a splitter on the pci-e cable to the graphics card and the case controller? It cant be drawing that much power…
Maybe. But there are risks with that
Amazing how Fractal, Phanteks and Lian Li used to lead the way and while Lian Li still arent bad, the other big players are going sideways, We have antec now and Montech and HYTE leading
Montech and Antec have both been impressive this year.
At first glance it really doesnt seem anything different to what already is on the market except that its Phanteks and its a decent price.
Is it me or is in desperate need of some magnetic cleanable dust filters? It's got one on the front but there's a lot of mesh that doesn't have it.
It is ultrafine mesh so technically doesn't need additional dust filters.
@@KitGuruTech Not sure if I buy the ultra fine bit. Those holes are going to let dust in...
That large blank panel just inside the front fans is disappointing. They should have put SSD mounts on the back of it. I don't see any SSD mounts aside from the drive cage.

The front nesh isn't technically ultrafine so it needs fittest filter.
@@KitGuruTech Ah, ok.
Wish they had included more than one usb-c connector.
James could make a cardboard box look like an awesome gaming PC.
😊
Are the fans PWM-controlled?
Yes
Whoa, that might make this a budget king!
Meh what a waste of 20 minutes
sag, short cabling, poor fitments and panels hard to fit back in place - guess its cheap and comes with fans. todays market I guess
Fair review overall I think having watched it all.
Its priced well, but its doing nothing that makes me want to spend money on it. I like the Montech King cases.
I hate cases with tricky panels to reinstall and that right sided panel sounds like a headache 😵💫
It is quite annoying.
Just lay the case on its side and let gravity help you.
Sub 90 market is insanely competitive. if this sells a lot of units I will be surprised. Montech have so much better cases in similar sectors IMO
I have to agree.
Front IO is decent - shame about some of the corners they are clearly cutting
Nice amount of RGB just in case people dont realise it’s a gaming case.
No idea why this would be a purchase over a Montech King
EATX motherboard support, but no radiators at the front. thats some logic going on there
Phanteks need some new designers in to come up with something new - this is so much like everything else, quite a few oversights too
I like Phanteks, but they need a new exciting release, something like a halo product to give them some impact again. Perhaps the market decline dictates the pricing and development on this
We wonder if the market is there for £500+ cases at the minute, lets hope 2025 is more positive

No but it can be done a lot quicker in some similar priced/spec cases. I suppose you will find this more annoying if you are building several systems with this case.
It's hard to believe that 12 threaded screw holes and 12 screws is cheaper than having 2 thumb screws at the back.
@@donkeysunited Wonder if its a rigidity thing.
No radiator at the front? wow, really?
I really dont like the ports at the top where dust and drinks can fall right in.
Why are these things such dust magnets? I just dont get it.
Fans pull air in and dust with it
For 85 is normal that is good is not that budget anymore, budget would be £70 for me, i paid 80 for a lancool ii in its time and is great.
I think everyone has a slightly different take on what is budget or not. But we can't argue that if that is what you feel!
