In 2019 I was in nursing school (the LVN track) & I failed. I had a 74.9 and needed a 75 to move on to the next level. I can admit that I wasn’t ready and my financial situation was bad. I was stressed and felt pressured to hurry up and go to nursing school. I was devastated when I failed and got so depressed to the point I was crying everyday and had bad thoughts to hurt myself because I felt like a failure for the longest. Now it’s 2023 and I want to go for what I’ve been longing for. This time going straight to RN. I’ve been through a lot but I am nervous. I feel like since I graduated school already that they wouldn’t want me or something and I’m afraid of rejection. I’m nervous but GOD keeps putting this feeling of wanting to be a nurse on my heart again and I want go for it, any tips?
Yes, firstly, YOU ARE NOT a failure. You are only a failure when you quit. Nursing is one of the top most difficult degrees in the world. It is very challenging. However, if you have a heart for it and you know you really want to do it, you can do it. Tips: apply to as many RN schools as you can. If you need to retake prereqs or take more pre-Rex, then create a plan for yourself to get them done so that you’re able to apply. Prereqs a very important, so try your best to get high grades. Once you complete your pre-reqs, take the entrance exam that the school requires. There is study material for the Teas and Hesi entrance exams on Amazon and all over RUclips. At this point you can finally apply to nursing schools. You are on your own track at your own pace. It is never too late to start or to restart. You got this ❤️
i start cna class tommorow, im so nervous because the way people talk bad about cna and how we are going to be treated bad by rns but ion let ppl walk over me and i have a heart for people for anyone so i don’t care i wanna pursue it but any tips???
As a cna or resident care aid how long are you supposed to train for ... or is it unless ur ready ... or do the staff just toss you in the field and leave you alone without help
During the school year I’m able to work 2 shifts a week. However, because it’s still summer break for me, I am able to pick up more shifts throughout the week.
Cause imma be majoring in nursing at university and I don’t think there’s time to do the cna program as well Do you advice I take the cna along side school?
I definitely suggest that you earn your CNA before you start nursing school. Most programs are about 9 to 12 weeks. I have a video on my channel telling you exactly how you can earn your CNA. It is definitely very beneficial for me while I’m a nurse at school ❤
On one maybe two occasions I have worked with a nursing aide who wasn’t a Certified Nursing Aide. They most likely already had experience in caring or maybe knew someone who helped him get into that position. But in most cases, it is required to earn your CNA to become a CNA or PCT (patient care assistant)
Recently found out it depends on the place you work for. There’s hospitals that doesn’t make it a requirement but there is a slight pay differential. (FL)

Ohh so it’s possible to go to nursing school and also do a cna ?…
I earned my CNA before I started nursing school. So that I would be able to work as a CNA while I was in nursing school.
Ohh wow that’s so smartt

Is a pct the same as a Cna. Does someone need a Cna license to be a “pct”

do you have to do post mortem care as an CNA ??????
If I’m not mistaking, usually nurses do most of the post mortem care. The CNAs maybe able to do some small tasks during the process.
Here in nyc yes thats the cna job
New Sub just starting my journey my plan is CNA -PCA-LPN-RN
Congratulations ❤️
Skip pca if you can skip Lpn do cna and go to school for rn while working as a cna
