- This tutorial explores how we can download and install JDK 8 on a 32 bit version of windows.

This is the download link to 32 bit version of jdk 8.The 64 bit variant of jdk is also available on filehippo.
UPDATE : In the event you receive an internal error 61003 while trying to install jdk,you will have to abort the installation and download and install MS visual C++ 2015 redistributable on your system first.To download them proceed to the following link:

if you have a 32 bit(x86) system,you will only need to install the 32 bit version of the redistributable,whereas for 64 bit is advisable to install both 32 and 64 bit versions.

These days oracle requires users to create an account at their website before you can download anything-so unfortunately you need to register yourself to be able to download jdk.
Pretty good tutorial, but I would mention the fact that 32bit version is actually listed as 86. There is a lot of confusion about it out there
yes,x86 represents the 32 bit release whereas x64 represents the 64 bit release

for running the code:java [.java extension not needed]
Now it is showing both 64 bit version

Which version of jdk are you trying to download?32 bit versions are only available for jdk 8 or earlier,newer releases usually only provide the 64 bit version for download.

When i install ide it's says length of path is bigger than 8192 bytes
In which folder were you attempting to install it? Please post its complete path. For simplicity use a shorter path eg
D:\Eclipse Ide

if it says its already installed then jdk already exists on your pc and you dont need to install it again,you can start programming in java by setting up the path variable correctly.

You need to create an account with Oracle to download jdk 8 from oracle's official website. Alternatively you can obtain it from filehippo - just visit Google and search " jdk 8 32/64 bit filehippo". You dont need to bother with account creation for downloading it from filehippo (the download link has been included in the description part of this video).

Have you installed jdk properly? This shouldn't have happened if you followed all steps as described in the video.

Why is it asking to login into the Oracle account while downloading it?
You will have to sign up for an oracle account if you download it from their official website. To avoid this, download jdk from the alternate links that i have provided (check description).

You don't need to enter any info in those fields,just leave them blank.
If it doesn't let you proceed without entering the required values,then you can simply type 'NA' for only those fields and continue with the download.
get the latest version of jdk from here:

Creating an oracle account is no longer required for this.

could you share a bit more details about this error such as when exactly does it appear ie what triggers the error? I think it might be caused by an incorrectly set path variable in windows.

Please install the appropriate version of jdk first, else you will only find the jre folder.

Jdk 15 and higher can be downloaded without creating oracle account.
everything is good but in my window 6 there is only 64 bit and my computer is of 32 bit so sir what should i do now
there's no windows 6-microsoft till date has only released win 7,8,8.1 and 10.
If you have a 32 bit machine then you should install a 32 bit version of the OS of your choice-64 bit is not going to work.

if your cpu only supports 32 bit instructions,then you should install a 32 bit os and 32 bit versions of all the applications that you plan on using(including jdk and eclipse).64 bit apps are not going to work as they are not compatible with your machine.What cpu do you have btw?

Setup the path variable properly. This error is caused by an improperly configured path variable.

Which version of jdk are you trying to install? Jdk 8 and older versions do work on win 7.

if you have followed all steps as described it should have worked-what error exactly have you run into?
please note that this tutorial is only intended for jdk 8 and win 7 x86-it may not work out as expected if you are trying to install a different version of java on a more recent release of windows (like win 10/11 etc)

After downloading jdk file....then I was double click on the java file...then open one warning type ....(while files the internet can be useful. This file type can potentially harm your computer .only run software from publisher you trust ..) This is shown in my jdk open file
@@Nani19611 you can ignore that warning, jdk installers downloaded from oracle's website will not harm your pc.

Use eclipse oxygen with jdk 8,other versions may not be compatible. What error did you run into?
