Despite featuring verses from a multitude of rappers from Ka to Nickelus F - Eastern Medicine, Western Illness manages to maintain a tightly-knit feel, as DJ Preservation utilizes left-field "Eastern" samples to tie the theme of the album title into the music. Preservation said his inspiration was his time in Hong Kong and he got the samples in the few record stores in Hong Kong he could find. All Chinese issued records just fantastic stuff everyone on here did so well. Woods, Hommy and Ka still leave me inspired Woods especially that might be my fave track from him
