Been really interested in bushcraft camping and building my own shelters last couple of months but didn't think it was possible in Ireland but your videos just showed me one of my dreams are possible here, any places you would recommend anywhere in Ireland suits but preferably closer to Dublin

That is brilliant, so many building techniques in one build
But I am worried about you sleeping in the area with damp moss and all the mud still damp, its not good for your lungs.
Are you allowed to build some structure much larger and more permenantly in that area that could last a year or more?

Thanks pal .the damp conditions suck but this time of year it's unavoidable even my log cabin is a little damp which is the only permanent build I've kept everything else I take down .hoping it last 2-3 years.
Winter's almost over dryer weather coming soon 😄

@@PaddysBushcraft maybe line your log cabin inside with a breathable membrane and rely on your wood stove to keep it dry.
A woodland is always damp though even in summer, can't have everything

That's brandy my second dog she's almost 16 now too old for camping trips ,whiskey was my first and favourite dog also a jr terrier he died in 2019 broke my heart took me 4 years to get a new dog 🐶 Goji ...the legend 🤣 is a contender for my favourite now .... Brandy is actually a grumpy dog 🤦‍♂️

Thor, a shepherd wolf mix was my one in a million dog. My first son. He and I had an esp like connection, never repeated by any dog since. He was excellent on hikes, repeatedly coming back to me to touch my knee to let me know he was still there. I lost him in 2000 and I, and all who knew him, still miss him and tell Thor stories. Years later came Dodger, a beagle akita mix. Smarter than I gave him credit for, I called him my furry 50 pound remote control, if I dropped my keys or sunglasses he would pick them up for me, and he loved carrying the presents to people around the room at Christmas, he even became a professional painter, selling his paintings complete with a "pawtograph." :) He passed two years ago. Then there was my sweet, funny Tesla. She was a shepherd cur hound mix. So brilliant and would intentionally do anything that would make me laugh because she loved the sound of happy. :) I miss her so badly still, she was gone too soon... Now, there is Dundee, a brutish 80 pound shepherd lab who is still too puppy hyper for an almost 2 year old, smart enough, but nothing like Thor or the others, I think when he calms down he will amaze me with what he will learn. I hope to teach him to help find missing pets. .... Sorry, long message. I could go on forever about dogs :) I wish dogs would live much longer! .... Like 60 years. :)

@@jewelz6506 you can ramble on all day I love reading your tales sound like your really good with dogs 👍 ...live till 60 🤣 no thanks what if you get a bad one like my brandy (grumpy jr terrier) I could do 30 😊 🐶♥️

HAHA... Good point. Yeah, Dundee would be a very long hassle too. Giant hyper puppy mode for 60 years,? yeah, maybe not... I'm praying he calms down soon. But I have to live with it because once I get a dog, he's in his forever home. I got him from the pound, now he's got his forever home. All my dogs came from pounds. My Dodger had been thrown away twice by other people at 3 months old!! and I never understood why, because with me he became a professional artist and helped me out a lot... One time as I was getting gas..I left my card in the truck.. I said "Oh, could you hand me my card, its on the console" a furry brown head popped out the window holding the card... everyone around started laughing and asking how I taught him that. :)

After watching some of your videos. You seem to have a severe lack of mosquitos and biting insects compared to other channels I watch. It's hard to laugh at other people's misery when there is none. Love the videos though. 🙂
