What you see is authentic. We wouldn't travel so far to find stuff if we were just trashing the rivers for a video. The number of guns in our waterways is insane. You don't have to fake anything if you just get out there and search.
I just ordered my grandson a magnet and rope...he has been after me to take him magnet fishing so it should be here by Thursday...I am excited for him and I to get started!!
What ever he does, if he gets some guns, make sure he contacts the police and have them check to make sure they have not been used in a crime, if he gets caught later on and the guns have been used in a crime, he could be charged, they will take the guns but in most places if they are clean you can get them back to keep

I wish I would have kept it but I travel in my little ford explorer and it's not easy bringing home magnet fishing finds. They don't smell that great. Especially on a 9 hours drive 😂. Always good to here from ya and hope all is well.
Nice piece ya found ....Take it apart and clean it up real well and soak it some type of penetrating opil lubricant to prevent anymore of that metal eating water to pitting up the barrel . Hell i would soak that puppy in some oil for a week or so just bring it back to life ..... I think you might have a perfect piece there . All ya need to do is add a lil bit TLC to it ... Otherwise a good watch !

If you don't mind me asking; how much money do y'all usually make on an average haul, when you give all that scrap to the scrap yard? I've never magnet fished yet, but it looks super fun! I'm about to order my first magnet. 800lb 360 magnet, from Brute Magnetics.
That last spot was WHOA full of scrap. Personally I would have kept that pay phone, break it down, clean it up, reassemble, and either mounted it on my wall at home or found a collector who would pay top dollar for it.
I worked for the phone company for 5 years so I've already got a few really cool older payphones and older rotary dial phones. One rotary phone is in its original box and packaging never opened.
The only problem with that metal flags of visited scrap yards don't like it just like chain link fence singing in the wire fencing stuff they don't like that either could by the time they sell was it there's nothing left

It's alot of fun but hard dirty work. He will build some good upper body strength if he sticks with it

Soaked it in WD40 and cleaned the hell out of it. It's good to go. Waiting on new batteries to see if the light/lazer works

Between 60-120$ but that's with 2 people driving around all day magnet fishing an average of 7 hours.
