  • Beaver dam removal. Very wide beaver dam was dismantled and a lot of water was released from here. Fields all around was very watery and not in good condition. I Think it will help for a while. Especially when seeding season is starting.

    Unfortunately, some people do not understand the damage beaver do and the flooding problems the beaver dams create, a dam can take out a farmers crop back up septic systems and even destroy acres and acres of forest land and sometimes it takes human intervention to fix the problems.

  • @Verklunkenzwiebel
    @Verklunkenzwiebel 2 месяца назад +3

    If there is a body that maintains the water level in the area, they can make the farmers maintain the canals where it is in their field. Or get fined if they don't. That is the only way. So either the municipality or the waterworks. It is the only way. My country (Holland) depends on farmers/land owners to keep the ditches and canals running.

  • @rocky3075

    I believe that the farmers let the small trees grow in order to hold the banks of the drainage ditches from eroding away.
    I saw the RUclips video of your explanation as to why you do not use a gas-powered saw. However you could use a battery powered sawzall. It is much safer than a gas-powered chainsaw.
    Yes, the beavers are always quite busy. Busy beavers building dams.
    I am currently not working because of a job related injury. I have trouble sleeping because of the level of discomfort I am in, however the sound of the rushing ,water as you take the dams apart, put me into a very comfortable deep sleep.
    It always takes three or four attempts to get through one of your videos. 😴💤 😂 👊🦊👍

    Perhaps those who question the necessity of dam removal aren't aware or forget that the dam holds back much, much more water than is visible; the water table rises beside the backed up water also. When you pointed out how far away the effect is, showing the surface water, perhaps that's all they 'see'? - Surface water, when they should be seeing a good-sized pond or small lake (Imagining the dirt is removed to the level of the water.)

    If the dams are affecting farm land or roads you should have every right to remove them. Lucky for the quick to judge people out there this guy doesn’t do this in America because over here we put several beavers and musk rats into orbit when we remove the dams. 20 or 30 pounds of dam removal compound and one rifle round and ol Bucky will be spotted by the James Web space telescope on his way to Uranus. Keep up the good work love the vids
