I am converting a pair of slacks to a skirt so I can wear the skirt to work. My godets come from the hemmed length of the pants. So they are straight not rounded. Is this going to work? My four insert points are front back and side seams rather than off to the sides? I hope this works because I have three moreI want to do it to as well.
Wait, that wasn’t the hips at their widest. You should definitely measure lower at the widest point to assure the finished garment will be wide enough to cross over the hips.

I love godets, they quickly add femininity and movement. Adding more godets to this pattern would allow it to look less boxy.

How can you make the added godets "stay inside" the main part of the dress when not flexed/expanded.
