Yep I have driven the route in Minnesota from the Canadian border through Duluth and south into Missouri. It is also referred to as the Great River Road since it follows the Mississippi River south to the Gulf. I will have to look for that book since one of my van road trip bucket list adventures is taking Hwy 61 all the way to N’orleans! Listening to Bob Dylan of course!
I recently bought Vivian Maier's book about street photography. There are no captions, explanations or details of any kind. Just her wonderful images. It's lovely to simply immerse myself in each photograph, to imagine what she was trying to achieve and see the world through her eyes. Like any book (on virtually any subject), they're a great way to be inspired and to learn.
Hers especially. A step back in time and beautifully composed.
Watching for Amazon Used Book options can be a good source. I bought a $85 Avedon book recently for under $20. You are the expert in finding good deals

Literally Highway 61 revisited! I picked up a wonderful Ansel Adams book from an antique shop for a song. Must try and get famous some way so I can get published!🤣👍📸

She trained at a school for photography I believe.
I’ll wait till I see it at my library book store for $1.50. Three books that I paid $35 each on sale were, Robert Capa, W. Eugene Smith, and the Magnum Contact Sheets. The price on her book is outrageous.
