CF Express Card Battle & Card Reader vs Camera
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 10 июл 2024
- I test three CF Express Cards - Sony, ProGrade, and Exascend. One card is bigger and cheaper but is it a good value? I also compare a $30 Sabrent card reader vs a $120 Sony card reader. Which do you think is faster?
Exascend provided this card to review but did not pay me to review or had any say in the content of this video.

Great info as always. Just what I needed at this moment. Thank you for what you do sir!
9:19 That is ingenious.
Thanks Toby! I am a fair weather photographer. I don't do much for long periods and then try to catch up with your channel. Time to pay up. Thank you for this channel and yes, I know about PEN.
nice Jean!
Jean - Thanks so much! I really appreciate it!
Just bought a new R5 camera today not realizing it has a different memory card needed..
Time to go back to the store tomorrow
😂
Thank you for this! I haven't made the plunge into CFA and having a large CFA reader while traveling made me not want these cards. Glad to see that the read speeds were still decent at 400
The CR-CFXA looks promising. The MRW-G2 is quite big and heavy compared to the cards themselves.
Other than the Angelbird CFE-A cards, the Chinese TOPSSD cards are also very affordable. The 80GB/120GB options are as affordable as SD, the downside is that it's harder to buy it in the US. I have been using them for > 6months, no reliability issues so far.
Good to hear!
Even more fun the 1Tera angelbird express-a card is now cheaper than express-b or a v90 card of the same size.. v90 cards are also silly $$
I will see if I can get my hands on one. No reviews at all on Amazon at the moment.
@@photorectoby they are real and some of my friends already have them but given the size/price value it will probably be hard to get them. I have 2 on order but would not be shocked if it takes a while. The good news is they are real, fast and very cheap per Gig just what we needed for sony.
dumping to a ipad / LR end of the day also works great instead of a laptop. A extra backup could also be made to a small (2tera) ssd. Now you have 3 copies
I still prefer a laptop but as I have shared in other videos the iPad can certainly do the job - it is just a bit more clunky IMO.
@@photorectoby yeah i use it mostly on trips and then continue working on them at home cc does sync all nicely. What is extra upsetting is that the new photoshop/lightroom tools like the new 'remove tool' and 'noise reduction' is not available.
The cost of these cards are reason enough to justify me not switching to mirrorless systems!! Wow!
They certainly need to be factored into your buying decision.
the angelbird 1TB is better and cheaper by black magic too
You missed the Angelbird 1TB CF Express A card for $499…
Its now cheaper than the other brands i want to go into the canon/nikon forums and make fun of their high card prices :)
I was about say he needs to get his hands on one of those.
@@IMDABROWN we all need to get our hands on them... i need 2 asap :)
I will see what I can do.
