None of that is objective. Subjectively, I say that Parasyte handled its plot much better and had more endearing characters. Kaneki lost what little personality he had after the end of Season 1. Their animation is about the same. Tokyo Ghoul has better character design - that's the best thing about the series - which is probably why it's more popular. But since when has popularity been a good indicator of the quality of things? I still say Parasyte handled the same themes in a better way. As for the manga, I haven't read it, so I can't comment.
Taste is subjective quality is objective, depending on whether the person making the judgment is fair. The plot of Parasyte is like any generic shonen. The protagonist fighting the bad turn. In addition the current manga tokyo ghoul sucks.
Tomas Garcia Parastye and Tokyo Ghoul are not shounen bro. Also, anime wise, Parastye is way better than Tokyo ghoul because it followed the manga and the message behind the story was powerful. TG is popular because of Kaneki, that's about it. I've seen both, anime and manga and I can safely say that Parastye is the better of the two in my opinion. TG is amazing but it's overrated, Parastye is amazing, but it's underrated. Also, TG and Parastye are not shounen, they're seinen
While I do truly appreciate the Parasyte anime, and fully understand why they made the character redesigns, they kind of made the outward change in Shinichis appearance before and after the incident with Mom-parasyte too drastic. Let me explain: In the anime, Shinichi stops wearing glasses and gets a completely different hairstyle. In the manga, Shinichi doesn’t change much in his outward appearance, but his attitude is noticeably different. At first only slightly, but becoming more apparent as time goes on. They kept his characterization the same in the anime, but the outward change was not subtle at all. I feel people saw this in the anime as a power up and Shinichi becoming “badass”, but the original treats this as Shinichi losing a part of his humanity.
Honestly, the characters in this anime look more natural than most other anime at this time. The hairstyles are strange, but not impossible to see around Japan, and no one’s head looks like a spiky skittle
Art-style opening differences: Manga style: 90's old school, more crack glass, slick back hair applied with gel or wax, summer season theme, more shadow and fogs, romantic, bit darker quality, male villains looks like an Mafia/yakuza or normal people with family or business problems, protagonist remembers about everyone knows about him, very violent, and very emotional. Anime style: Modern, less crack glass, slick back hair applied with pomade, winter season theme, more reflection, sexual desire, lighter polish high quality, male villains looks depressed with extremely insomnia with no sleep, protagonist worries about his love ones, extremely violent, and normal emotional.
Wow, the manga parody looks crazy good and well-made! I mean, some of the characters look odd because of the old style and I'm used to the new designs, but for example Gotou looks really cool, as he's slightly younger in the manga version.
I vastly prefer the style of the original manga. The anime is still good, but i feel it would've been ever better if it stayed closer to the visual style of the manga.
The character design was to adjust to modern times, it’d feel weird to have characters that are set in the 80s appear and utilise things that were made for modern times.
Marketability is a huge factor too. Look at how many modern adaptation of shows that stick to the original style get a mediocre or below average reception. The only exception out there is probably JoJos...
FMA only follows the original story halfway around episode 25. After that it's just filler episodes. In brotherhood they just skipped the first 2 mini stories that starts in the manga (which already were featured in FMA). The rest of FMA: Brotherhood loyally follows the manga detail for detail, making Brotherhood the original.
FMA and FMA : Brotherhood follows a path similar to what they are doing to the spiderman movies. Parasyte is different and i can see why fans may hate the anime. But you have to consider the manga is old, from many years ago. The world of Parasyte plays in a world from a different generation. Basically the anime version adapted itself to our current generation, which plays years ahead from the manga current
I actually read a few volumes of this manga when i was still a little girl so me and my siblings were very excited for the anime version. I like how they changed the character design and setting to match the technology and lifestyle we have today. My only issue is how the manga i have read before made us to believe that he had the parasite in his lefthand! :/ Boooo that!
twinx sotto That was because authentic manga is written from right to left, so to westernize it they flipped all the pages around so then Migi would have been in Shinichi's left hand instead. And I believe they renamed him "Lefty"?
I don't know if it's just because I read the manga, but I like the manga style a lot more even before I read it I though Shinichi looked like a nerd on the anime.
TAKE MY LIKES WITH THIS FAN MADE MANGA VERSION!! I haven't read the manga, but definitely like the changes in characters' looks. Everyone in the manga seems to look more like what they are meant to look like. The Anime was really good, so I'm not sure how much different the manga is unless they actually have extreme differences.
***** The only differences are character design, since the manga was written in the late 80s/early 90s, so they changed character outfits and hairstyles to match a modern setting. Beyond that they changed a few small details to add the Internet/modern phones. In the manga Migi learned Japanese and info about human society from the books in Shinichi's room. In the anime he used Shinichi's computer to surf the web.
Evnyofdeath See I prefer when Anime and Manga pretty much match up, but of course unless it needs to be changed to fit certain criteria then do whatever. I'm usually told that Manga tends to be more "raw" than the Anime. Usually if I read or watch one I don't attend to do the other just for the feeling of difference, but from what I've seen in the Anime I don't expect much difference. Still looks good though. Thanks for letting me know. (^-^)/
***** Not a problem. You should definitely read the manga. There is a bit of censorship in the anime (mild enough you'll only notice IF you've read the manga) so if you want all the blood and gore you need to use the manga.
Jose Lopez I mean story wise difference. I can understand if there's a difference in the modernization of something, such as not having technology back then to now. Though I do agree it makes things a bit different, but as long as the story is pretty much on the same track I have no issues with it.
Tokyo Ghoul and Parasyte were the first animes i really got into as someone who saw both at the same time i hate it how people say they copy one another they’re both unique in their own ways which both i truly enjoy.
At least with the manga style one I can recognise the characters. I found it difficult to recognise most of the characters with the new style honestly. But still, the new style ain't so bad.
While I prefer the manga's style, the anime looks super good. I wish it still took place in the '80s, but it's probably for the best what direction they went with. Can you imagine if they made an anime right after the manga ended? I feel like it would've been seriously watered down in terms of violence. And the dub probably would've been really bad
I read the manga a couple years prior to the anime release and just felt like something was off with the anime when I watched it. Now I know what it is.
Parasyte is a great example of how something doesn't have to be accurate to be a great adaptation. A lot of what made the Parasyte anime as good as it is was, I would argue, the things they changed. It always frustrates me when people hate on something for no other reason than it's not accurate to the source material. Another example is Fullmetal Alchemist 2003. Yeah, it goes in a completely different direction than the manga, but it's also, in my opinion, the best anime out there on the market. Yes, I even like it more than Brotherhood (though, Brotherhood is definitely a very close second).
I actually prefer the anime over the manga (I'm going by looks, I never read the manga and I'm currently finishing the anime) because doesn't really show much vibrance, it could have some more emotions added, the hair doesn't really look like it would belong on Shinichi due to his head and neck being slightly thicker in the manga. On top of that, his head looks a bit small, if you were an artist and knew how to make proper heads (which I am and do), the hair would look a bit odd and flat if you compared it to Shinichi's head on the anime. Along with that, Shinichi's clothes at 0:37 in the manga aren't even moving, the sleeve on his shirt would at least move a little bit due to the fact that Shinichi's jacket/vest/tuxedo, whatever it is, is moving quite a bit along with his tie. For shading, it's not bad but could have a bit more. Ex: 1:07 . Compare Kana's hair shading in the anime compared to Kana's hair in the manga. If someone happen to has poor eyes, they would barely notice the detail in part of the hair. I will admit, though, the manga still seems to catch my eye (look wise as I said) because it looks a bit old fashion *yes, I know it was made in the 80's*, which old fashioned stuff can catch my eye at time. Can't say I'm crazy for history or older stuff, but they seem very interesting in my opinion, which is why I find the manga a bit appealing as well. This is just my opinion, if you do decide to say something, I kindly ask, put in a nice way, please. Thank you.
i would have love that madhouse released the anime in 90s to watch that old style animation i really liked the anime and everything but the old style animation makes it look great
Thank god Parasyte was adapted in 2015 by madhouse. I can only imagine how it would look if they adapted it in the 90s and also studio ghibli might have sticked to the manga version style if they adapted it(if you don't know, Parasyte was supposed to be adpated by studio ghibli)
Divided Shift You are half right. The main reason the animation is different from the manga is because it's cheaper. Most animation studio streamline their animation because it saves them money. Trying to make the anime closer to the manga means more time and effort, which means more money. Compare the Rosario Vampire manga to its anime, their is a very noticeable difference in style. The manga style would not have worked, but it has nothing to do with it being "old and stale". That "old and stale" style is the way Hitoshi Iwaaki draws, it has not changed. I like has style. I do not know were people are getting this information, but Parasyte came out in the 90s, not the 80s. Parasyte is around the same age as DBZ and Yu Yu Hakusho Also if "old and stale" cannot work in today's anime society, why does the JoJo's anime looks like it came out of the 80s and early 90s.
+owais ali I agree as well, I mean just look at the ending scene with shinchi and migi. The manga style has the entirety of migi roughly the same color minus the eye, while the anime style has a more fleshy/tendony/meaty look to it where the blade is and heck it looks like a blade and not just a deformity. I'd be more terrified to have shinchi and migi from the anime staring me down getting ready to attack then in them from the manga was doing the same. Since its a horror manga I much prefer the anime style, it just seems much more fitting.
Better story than Tokyo ghoul. Lmao Tokyo ghoul seemed really pointless. Like kaneki wants to become stronger to save his friends. Like... That's it? No saving the world from ghouls? The story feels like an waste of time. Mean while shinichi actually doing something like stopping killings from happening around his city. Kaneki just gets kidnapped and raped for no reason what's so ever. Like why the hell Jason randomly had to attack kaneki? I like both tho.
+Qevon “[The EyePatch Ghoul]” It's been a while since i've seen that anime, but going off memory; he wanted to become stronger so that things like him getting kidnapped and watching innocent ghouls be murdered would never happen again. And the reason why Jason took him was because he smelt like Rize, but seeing as how he killed Jason, him seeking more power seems selfish. Maybe he wanted to be a power house. I'm not sure about killing all the ghouls cause that would be unfair, but i was hoping for more of an understanding and compromise Now all that aside, i really didn't like the ending of the series or the 2nd season for that matter. Left too many questions and did feel ridiculous at times.
How to spot the anime only watchers 101. Don't care how old this comment is, let me clarify something: Tokyo is one of the best modern day stories out right now. FACT. The anime was shit, but even you couldn't understand the undertones, it seems. You want one of the best stories written in that genre, read the manga. Don't shit on something you can't comprehend.
@@jase276 2 Years later, but the Anime version of Tokyo Ghoul sucked past S1. S2 or "Root A" wasn't even following the Manga. Both parts of Re Sucked. Re Part 1 was just adapted poorly and Re Part 2 was rushed like hell. Kaneki has a goal to shape the world, S1's half of the manga was just an introduction.
GameOver4481 The anime looks a lot more crisp and appeals more to a general market. So much can be improved upon with the manga version. Why settle for a niche market when you can go for mass appeal?
They should’ve kept the art style the same as the manga cuz I watched the anime and loved it but when I found the manga it didn’t look anything like the anime which turned me off because I was confused.
I liked replacing the two girls whose importance was increased in the anime version to the Parasyte Investigation Squad leader and "Sherlock Holmes" in the manga version
WIsh they didn't change it so much. I mean adding glasses? Is that really needed just to add more to the fact that he was shy and meek before the turn. Once he spikes his hair like that he looks fine! Just what's up with those unneeded glasses. As well as his girlfriend didn't suddenly need to get a girly hair cut and have it some unrealistic "kawaii" hair colour as people still wear their hair like the original. Also Kana smoked in the manga and was more of a bad ass then how they portrayed her as a cutie girl who just wanted a piece of Shinichi's pie. Migi. Migi is fine lol. Those changes had nothing to do with the original being in the time zone it was set in. As well as their are medival and WWII pre and post animes. Why couldn't they just keep it 80s. no one would have cared. just give it a more highlighted styling with colour not change their faces cuz we in the 2000's won't understand that Shinichi was once shy before if he didn't have glasses. People without glasses can be shy too lol -.-
I like them adding the glasses personally. It shows off how he changes more as in his senses improve (when he dies and the parasite cells spread through his body) This is my opinion though, I'm not trashing yours.
I understand what you mean by that. Being someone that wears glasses, (even if I didn't wear them), If someone takes off their glasses I just feel as if it's just me taking them off. But It looks so different when an anime character does it because of change symbolism. Having Shinichi just getting stronger and showing how he can jump higher and fall from extreme heights without getting hurt as well as when he can fight the parasytes off with Migi as a side note shows how his real strength turned and I like how they did that in the manga and in the anime. The glasses, basically are extremely cliche... nerd shy = glasses strong independent = no glasses CLICHE AF. Who needs to take off or on glasses when your as bad ass as Shinichi and show it through actual physical attributes you know?^^
DaichiXEdward sorry but he only became "badass" when he started to lose all emotions and no longer needed glasses so you can't argue with that and personally i do prefer the anime version but i prefer him without glasses. the bad part in my opinion about this anime is that migi and shinichi himself were the only 2 people who ever knew about most of the shit he had to go through.
I feel like it was more so to push the idea of him losing some of his human traits, like emotion, grief, loss of vision, etc. But I don't really think they needed to give him glasses for people to understand that he got better vision, we probably would've gotten that by the rooftop scene at the school.
As an original manga reader, the manga version just grab me back through the sand of time. Usually the original one is the best one, to me the parasyte is one of those.
i like the manga art style better it makes the characters look more distinguishable from other anime characters of this generation i just feel that the anime style while good is just kinda generic
That's kind of the opposite. The manga art style is, well, the typical 80s art style. MC looks just like the YuYu Hakusho protagonist' with bigger forrhead

A crazy-good anime. Head and shoulders above "Tokyo Ghoul", with which it is often compared because they share similar themes and plot devices.
To be fair, the Tokyo Ghoul manga is excellent. The anime has no sense of pacing and screws up a lot that makes the manga so good.

Parasyte had a horrible cgi and their bodies and faces did not deliver many emotions. TG had no verbal language in its animation. Parasyte and Tokyo Ghoul are different stories do not use the same themes. Tokyo ghoul has better soundtrack.
I have read both mangas, but we are talking about the anime, not manga.
Let me explain:
In the anime, Shinichi stops wearing glasses and gets a completely different hairstyle.
I like the Manga one personally. 🤔 To me the characters appearances seem more "normal" and "simple" which I apparently like lol
But this is anime. Anime cannot have the protag be looking normal and simple
@@lynnwolfmusic998 Trueshit
@@lynnwolfmusic998 Then try looking at generic harem MCs.
@LynnWolf Music It can actually, look at anime’s such as Monster, characters look quite realistic.
Honestly, the characters in this anime look more natural than most other anime at this time. The hairstyles are strange, but not impossible to see around Japan, and no one’s head looks like a spiky skittle
Anyone else love it how hes just falling at 1:18
Art-style opening differences:
Manga style: 90's old school, more crack glass, slick back hair applied with gel or wax, summer season theme, more shadow and fogs, romantic, bit darker quality, male villains looks like an Mafia/yakuza or normal people with family or business problems, protagonist remembers about everyone knows about him, very violent, and very emotional.
Anime style: Modern, less crack glass, slick back hair applied with pomade, winter season theme, more reflection, sexual desire, lighter polish high quality, male villains looks depressed with extremely insomnia with no sleep, protagonist worries about his love ones, extremely violent, and normal emotional.
Man everytime i see shinichis mom in the opening. My heart ugh.
@@Poseidone101 you replied to a 4 year old comment. Don't think they'd see it
Biggay69 Oh well, it appeared in my recommendation ironically.
Marketability is a huge factor too. Look at how many modern adaptation of shows that stick to the original style get a mediocre or below average reception. The only exception out there is probably JoJos...
@@untappedhappiness I can agree,Jojo itself has a huge fanbase way before DP animated them
Nowadays, the manga look seems a bit generic. The newer style they used is definitely better in my opinion, they look more distinguishable.
Why can't we just enjoy both versions? :T
I agree... -_-"
Kona Like Full Metal Alchemist?
Exactly! I like the original more, but that doesn't mean i dislike brotherhood.
FMA only follows the original story halfway around episode 25. After that it's just filler episodes. In brotherhood they just skipped the first 2 mini stories that starts in the manga (which already were featured in FMA). The rest of FMA: Brotherhood loyally follows the manga detail for detail, making Brotherhood the original.
uhh, that's not how the original FMA was at the end, like at all
FMA and FMA : Brotherhood follows a path similar to what they are doing to the spiderman movies.
Parasyte is different and i can see why fans may hate the anime. But you have to consider the manga is old, from many years ago. The world of Parasyte plays in a world from a different generation. Basically the anime version adapted itself to our current generation, which plays years ahead from the manga current
Andrés Rob e.g insead of reading a newspaper shinichi's dad was checking news online with a tablet computer
+Andrés Rob so you could say that Resident Evil 4 (onwards)'s tentacle people were a ripoff of parasyte?
i hope they do a season 2. the parasyte's origin hasn't disclosed
Pamingkas Sevada its been finnished for 13 years hasn't it?
What? didn't know that. but they could also create a continuation right? remember Hunter x Hunter? and even hajime no ippo, they still continue
I need to say this the part where shinichi is holding Satomi is just
Yea I hear you on that one it felt more connected and "real" I don't know that's the way I see it anyway
Just imagine if the parasyte anime was made in the 80s instead of the 2010s
I wish, they kept the manga style. I dont know why but at that part were murno is leaning on sinichi hits me right in the feels
2015 with that kind of artstyle? Get outta here
I usually like the old anime artstyles of pokemon and dragon ball but I can't deny shinichi looks better than shinji
@@JohnSmithsu2006 I Think Manga Shinichi looks slightly better, but I like the Anime version of the females better.
Still, it's amazing that people could make manga way way back before things were modernized. It must have been hard.
***** Uh.. yeah?
Maybe he means the 1580s, when Japan was still in the Sengoku Jidai era
does shnichi look better in manga or am I a hipster
I think the manga characters look more beautiful
both
yes
I actually read a few volumes of this manga when i was still a little girl so me and my siblings were very excited for the anime version. I like how they changed the character design and setting to match the technology and lifestyle we have today. My only issue is how the manga i have read before made us to believe that he had the parasite in his lefthand! :/ Boooo that!
twinx sotto That was because authentic manga is written from right to left, so to westernize it they flipped all the pages around so then Migi would have been in Shinichi's left hand instead. And I believe they renamed him "Lefty"?
0:02 In the manga version it seems the new coronavirus
XD
Yup, definitely. 😂
Both anime and manga version are awesome, it would be cool if they made this anime like it looks like in the manga that would be awesome ;).
Amazing
I don't know if it's just because I read the manga, but I like the manga style a lot more even before I read it I though Shinichi looked like a nerd on the anime.
Blogdawg100 that was intentional so people would be more 'surprised' as he changed
I think he is a nerd though
The manga started in 88 and ended in 93 so a 21 year gap is gonna make obvious changes
Jose Lopez I mean story wise difference. I can understand if there's a difference in the modernization of something, such as not having technology back then to now. Though I do agree it makes things a bit different, but as long as the story is pretty much on the same track I have no issues with it.
One of the best anime openings, I never once skipped it, I always replayed.
I agree
Kiara Tipper i prefer the new style tho',but it seems gotou fits more with the manga design
GZ Production yeah he always seemed to look really apart from the rest of the characters in the anime
Jhemmyson Oliveira jojo
I’m just now seeing this it’s fire
Uno de los mejores animes adaptados para esta época, tremenda joya
As a fan of both anime and manga im glad to see this comparison so well done :)
I like how the anime looks like it was made a year after the manga but was actually made more than 10 years ago
Idk how the writer was able to fit action, horror, comedy, romance all at once. It’s soooo good.

Manga:Friendzone

genial comparación, en ambos casos me encanta :D
Joder 6 años como pasa el tiempo no??
I love the scream at the end
Yeah he's a great screamer
I read this as the manga had an opening and I was like, huh??
Me too
the manga character designs hold up pretty good, great video by the way
While I prefer the manga's style, the anime looks super good. I wish it still took place in the '80s, but it's probably for the best what direction they went with. Can you imagine if they made an anime right after the manga ended? I feel like it would've been seriously watered down in terms of violence. And the dub probably would've been really bad
Woah, I forgot when is the last time I watch this anime. It’s been like five years and it’s still awesome.
I read the manga a couple years prior to the anime release and just felt like something was off with the anime when I watched it.
Now I know what it is.
Props to the creator of the manga style intro edit, seems very professional and really good comparison video.
Ohhh! Good old '90 anime style. Still love it.
Thank you so much for creating this
I actually prefer the anime over the manga (I'm going by looks, I never read the manga and I'm currently finishing the anime) because doesn't really show much vibrance, it could have some more emotions added, the hair doesn't really look like it would belong on Shinichi due to his head and neck being slightly thicker in the manga.
Thank you.
Raakai this is kind of late but you do realize the manga was made in the 80s
Amazing.
Honestly, i prefer the Manga art style... It makes parasyte more horrifying/Scary/Gruesome.
wow the style changes A LOT compared to manga lol wasn't expecting this at all
i just knew this, the character looks really different
Man I really wanted a season 2 or maybe a reboot...
Such a brilliant anime..
The manga ended likes 30 years ago.
I prefer the manga artstyle and character design much more than the anime, especially for shinichi
However the side characters are more detailed in the anime.
I prefer Murano in the anime but the manga "badass" shinchi is better.
Estas loca o que es muchor mejor shinichi del anime que el del manga
i would have love that madhouse released the anime in 90s to watch that old style animation i really liked the anime and everything but the old style animation makes it look great
Thank god Parasyte was adapted in 2015 by madhouse. I can only imagine how it would look if they adapted it in the 90s and also studio ghibli might have sticked to the manga version style if they adapted it(if you don't know, Parasyte was supposed to be adpated by studio ghibli)
That was awesome as hell I love both 😀
Death note, tokto ghoul, shingeki no kyojin, mirai nikki, psycho pass, demon slayer, JoJo, hellsing ultimate, parasyte
My list
that's it...going towatch it for the 8th time....this theme just always gets you on the mood
at times like this people say manga was better, I beg to differ.
This manga was made in the 80's, are the artist at that time had similar drawing styles. None the less it shows how great of a story it is
ryankelty I say Power puff girls is better
The manga was made In the 90s though
Divided Shift nah i prefer the old more relistic look
This makes me so happy. I love the anime and the manga, and that opening song is so intense.
These are so fucking different it almost looks like two different shows.
It’s 2018 and this theme song is still fire
Is it wrong for me liking the manga more than the anime considering the fact that the anime is a modernized adaptation of a manga from the 80s.
I can't believe this is 80's storyline
2 ovas with blood? 😦
To be honest I would really like to watch the anime with the manga art style instead of the new style
whoever did this is a damn genious, its awesome
I think people prefer the Anime style because it has that teenager kind of atmosphere
It's more of this generation.
TheNordLife v1 no shit the manga was made in the 80s
This song is everything yeesss
Anime did it better
nevermind after rematching it both of them look Awesome
I agree, anime looks better tbh..
The manga is set in the 80s (when it was published) while the anime (and the live actions) are set in the 2010´s
I'm not sure about killing all the ghouls cause that would be unfair, but i was hoping for more of an understanding and compromise
Now all that aside, i really didn't like the ending of the series or the 2nd season for that matter. Left too many questions and did feel ridiculous at times.
Not all ghouls are bad in that series so why kill other ghouls? And protecting those you care about is just as heroic as protecting humanity.
Qevon Read the manga, it's MUCH Better than the anime. Kaneki in the manga wants to make Human and Ghoul Co-exist

2 Years later, but the Anime version of Tokyo Ghoul sucked past S1.
S2 or "Root A" wasn't even following the Manga.
Both parts of Re Sucked.
Re Part 1 was just adapted poorly and Re Part 2 was rushed like hell.
Kaneki has a goal to shape the world, S1's half of the manga was just an introduction.
This is great! I love Kiseijuu anime & manga both so much
i like the manga version better :)
GameOver4481 The anime looks a lot more crisp and appeals more to a general market. So much can be improved upon with the manga version. Why settle for a niche market when you can go for mass appeal?
Daniel Roberts that is true but i prefer the manga mostly because they aren't both naked and hugging a bit awkward .. lol

I think that the detective and the police man were better u-u
The glasses, basically are extremely cliche...
nerd shy = glasses
strong independent = no glasses
CLICHE AF.
MooprMoo I KNOW RIGHT! They showed him zooming in on the guy and even migi said that he was impressed! So lame of them to add the glasses. So cliché.
This anime is worth the watch
Aaaaaaaand.........Anime > Manga style

As an original manga reader, the manga version just grab me back through the sand of time.
Usually the original one is the best one, to me the parasyte is one of those.
i like the manga art style better it makes the characters look more distinguishable from other anime characters of this generation i just feel that the anime style while good is just kinda generic
That's kind of the opposite. The manga art style is, well, the typical 80s art style. MC looks just like the YuYu Hakusho protagonist' with bigger forrhead
Thank God that they did those changes in the Anime
