Hi Sherry. I have my kids make these type of covered composition notebooks. Every year, these composition notebooks are 50 cents at Staples or Wal-mart. They are a tremendous bargain for my students and I. I have them wrap them in plastic packing tape when they are done. They put a hole in the back of the notebook and fish a longer rubber ban to be able to keep their notebooks closed in their book bags. They make some excellent ways to keep them organized. I love your channel. You are always so inspiring to me. Thank you for reminding us to always keep kindness in our hearts. I remind my kids to do this every day! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Sherri, you don't just put together beautiful projects, you show us how to do it. Most importantly, you are a wonderful teacher. You explain WHY, not just how. Fantastic.
Hello, I love your tutorials because you explain in details how to make the projects, I live in Puerto Rico and there are not many stores to go to for items and your info. about the items you buy and where you buy them help me a lot, God bless you and your loveones and ty very much. , love Luz.
I would make a "Back to School" Journal. Imagine all the entries you could make about classes, new classmates, new friends, teachers, on and on! Love the idea of reimagining a Dollar Tree composition book.
I would want to make these all year long! I think they would make great birthday gifts! 🎉🎂🎁Personalization with their name and style choice/colors would also kick it over the top! ❤
I've watched your video to the end! I am almost two years late to respond. But this is awesome. You remind me of my graphic design teacher. She was so giving, honest and kind. Keep doing a great job!
I would make this a BIRTHDAY sewing journal for myself and decorate the pages with pockets for saving sewing patterns and magazine photos of clothes I want to make or that I have made. I'm planning to revamp my wardrobe with some homemade clothes. I have some old sewing patterns to cut up the envelopes to decorate the pages with vintage fashions. And I want to write down ideas of easy accessories to sew, such as tote bags and maybe some oven mitts. Thanks for this awesome video! I love your projects. .
This would be perfect for birthday / holiday celebration journal, The possibilities are endless even for the students would love kits to make their own.
Hi Sherry! I love your idea of using the wall paper for your composition book "redesign"!I always pick up those books in large quantities when the school 🏫 supplies 😀 are on sale. You have given a great new "flavor" to making these books much more personalized! I must hit our store "dollar tree" for those beautiful wall paper sheets. Wish me luck! Thanks again for sharing 😊 this tutorial! By the way, may God 🙌 bless you and your family crafters! 👪
I’m going to make some for my aunts. They will be holiday planners. I will use tabs to make 3 sections. One will be thanksgiving, one will be Christmas , and the last one will be for New Years! These are great.
I knit and crochet as my primary hobby but will definitely be purchasing these notebooks and wallpaper and making some of these. They probably won't be as elaborate as yours with extra pockets, etc. but what FUN it will be just making my simple composition books more personalized and pretty. Thank you for your awesome ideas!!
Sherry, another fantastic video! I always take a blank book to family reunions and have each family write down their family members, dates of births and deaths, current addresses, etc.. It's a much loved time capsule. There's sooo many reasons for these books. I greatly appreciate you and your channel. ❤ Karen in Missouri
Be the reason someone smiled today - it made me smile. Thanks so much for that. Not sure which holiday but will stop the next time I pass may Dollar 🌴😘
Thank you so much. I will make Christmas planners, both full size and half size. A few years ago my husband cut a dozen or so composition books in half for me. I think they will make darling planners. I may take the signatures out and insert a couple of card stock pages with tags and pockets for dividers, then sew the signature back in. The possibilities are endless. Thank you so much! I think I will probably leave the top half of the inside back cover as is, that is a brilliant idea! I’ll probably add a generous envelope or gusseted pocket over the multiplication table. I’ll add a few of our favorite family Holiday recipes. I’m all excited now! Thank you.
I'm not much of a crafter but you make it look easy and affordable 👌 I love all your ideas. This is one of my favorites and will make them for teachers during teacher appreciation or maybe birthdays 🎂 💗 💕
I am going to make this journal for my son. It will be his birthday next month and he could use it for various projects that he will be doing. Thanks for your wonderful projects.
