- Donald Trump is firing back at the FBI's shocking claim that a bullet may not have struck him. Trump wrote, "No wonder the once storied FBI has lost the confidence of America! A bullet hit my ear, and hit it hard. There was no shrapnel. The hospital called it a bullet wound to the ear."

The doctor did say Donald's ear was nicked at the top, and a little piece was missing. His ear was bleeding a lot because the location of the injury bleeds a lot. No stitches were needed.

A quick Google search of damage inflicted on the human body by an AR-15 tells the story. Even if grazed, his entire ear or at least a substantial portion of it would've been taken off. This dude is obnoxiously desperate

My dad was also grazed in the ear by a bullet while he was in Vietnam, and it's left no permanent damage, just a small nick you probably wouldn't notice unless you were looking for it. He literally heard the bullet as it went past. How do you explain that?

Sorry but the first time I watched the shooting video my guy reaction was he was not reacting to a bullet. Not at all. The evidence of a small glass shard from the clearly damaged teleprompter makes a world of more sence. Of course if the medical paperwork was released from where he was treated there would be no question. But that paperwork apparently was squashed and the where abouts of the teleprompter immediately following the shooting is now a mystery since trump's claim he was definitely hit by a bullit. If that high velocity round actually contacted his ear in any way he would be requiring reconstructive surgery, not an ear diaper.
I've only seen photos with both teleprompters undamaged, can you link a source for that so I can check it out? Also, you can absolutely get grazed in the ear and not have serious injury. 5.56 is a varmint round, it's really not very big, just fast. My dad was also grazed in the ear while he was in Vietnam and it left no permanent damage, just a small nick.
Link to the clearly damaged teleprompter with a compelling before and after that is consistent with all footage that clearly shows undamaged teleprompters throughout the event….

Didn't the shooter use an ar 15? Even it if had just barely grazed him it should have cause more damage then what was shown. It's what I been thinking ever since they mentioned the weapon that was used
he used an ar-15 chambered in 5.56x45 mm, a common round. Because of how thin the ear is the round would have punched through like cardboard.
So, the trauma surgeons who deal with gunshot wounds on a daily basis had no idea what they were looking at, then? Is that what you're suggesting? A grazing wound will absolutely behave like this, and like the other commenter said, 5.56 would punch through like paper on ear cartilage.
