One question sir, when you swap the ssd on this laptop, do you need to get the drivers or anything windows or driver related from the first ssd? Or you just install windows on the new ssd and it will handle everything by itself?
The PX13 is the only machine I've ever had issues with doing a clean install... seems it must have some custom drivers baked in. (Or it did right at release time when I was trying it.) I had issues and had to clone the original drive instead.
Should be slightly better, also performance should be a bit higher while using less power as well, as that new Ryzen CPU is pretty energy efficient while doing good work.
You can charge it at 100W. It's enough for most things, full performance gaming isn't possible, but 100W is plenty to have a really decent experience, but the clock speeds will be slightly lower.

Great review! One question though. If you use them with 100w PD chargers for portability, would the lose a lot of performance or would they act as if they are in balanced mode? Would they become equal in performance? What would happen? By the way, if the x13 charger is 130W usb-c, this means that the ports on x13 support PD higher than 100W , right? 🤔 So it's not PD3.0 which maxes out at 100W, but probably PD3.1 which can support upto 240W, right? 🤔🤔 Can you try a usb-c charger with higher than its original 130w and see if it works as well as the original, or you are restricted to the original charger for the full power? 😕
While the X13 can charge at 130W, that does not mean it supports PD higher than 100W. The stock charger can deliver 130W, but it is an ASUS proprietary thing, not PD. I know the X13 does not support 140W PD either. (I have tried with a 140W PD charger) Only ASUS Proprietary Signal gets you to 130W, otherwise you're getting 100W PD or below with conventional chargers.
exactly because the TDP is constrained is why I would want a 4070 over a 4060. The 4070 can do more work with less power because it has more execution units that relies less on higher/ power hungry clock speeds.
I wish Asus would stop shoving OLEDs down our throats. Mini-LED are more power efficient, brigher and no burn-in risk. Give me either of these Laptops with a mini-LED at a minimum 600 nits in SD and I would buy it in a pinch.
I somewhat agree... I'd much rather have a mini-LED than a 60Hz OLED. However; OLED can be lighter, thinner and double-stacked for brightness, less burn-in risk every year as well. In the future I think everything will be oled, but yeah I'd rather have a Mini-LED than a subpar oled any day.
@@cbutters well lets be honest: Apple always uses the best stuff in their laptops. As long as the MB PRO has mini LED, its pretty obvious what the best screen is. As far as burn-in risk...I know LG TVs have some pixel shift technology so that they dont tire the same pixels...but I dont know about laptops. Thats why they keep them dim and you can barely find an OLED with more than 400 nits. I myself have a FlowX16 and supper happy with the extra brightness, black is deep enough, HDR1000 is gorgeous, and I can barely notice blooming in everyday use.
By your logic..... Apple's newest and most modern device the iPad pro 2024 uses the "Ultra Retina XDR display features state-of-the-art tandem OLED technology". Oh man, the review of the PX13 was going so well until you mentioned there's no mux switch & no VRR. That's a dealbreaker because the X13 2022 can REALLY sip power and get close to 8 hours of office work with OneDrive paused. No wonder the battery life is so poor compared to other AMD AI 370 laptops. I really thought the PX13 will be a worthy replacement. Here's hoping there will be a X13 2024 with AI 370 & 4060 + the cooling solution of the PX13. The X13 is really held back by the thermals.
Checking in on the GPU Wattage, For PX13 4060, can we confirm the max Watt? I saw on another channel it mentioned 75W - ruclips.net/video/ppD6trIeg_w/видео.html Asus seems to not willing to show this on their site
If I remember right... the GPU actually is rated and capable of 90W if you look at the NVIDIA-SMI data... The performance mode sets it to 75W though (including the 10W dynamic boost. You'd have to go into manual mode to get the 90W and it just can't keep up with heat and has to throttle to 75W or less in most cases, so the fact it can actually do higher wattage for a few seconds doesn't really mean much... expect 75W maximum in real world.

@DanielMazz so it means that your display refreshes 120 timer per second which makes everything feel smoother including games
Would have been nice to see max performance in tent mode, which is how I always game with 2in1s. That said 60hz is a non-starter anyway...
Agree, that 60hz and non VRR is a dealbreaker for me
I want to exchange my macbook m3 with px13 is it wise decision??
Please just use mono audio this is really uncomfortable
yall take care
obsolete rog flow cpu still perform better and has better led as well, x14 will be epic for portable pc gaming handhelds could never
why would u want 4070 when its bottlenecked by temp and having to share its performance with the cpu...
exactly because the TDP is constrained is why I would want a 4070 over a 4060. The 4070 can do more work with less power because it has more execution units that relies less on higher/ power hungry clock speeds.
Do they have 120 Hz or more screen?
Not on the PX13 no.
4070 will be available in the future
I would like to see the px13 vs blade 14
would love to see how it runs unreal egine for develpoment
I'm not trying to say miniled isn't good, or you're not having a great experience with your display; I'm just saying OLED seems to be the where the industry is headed and I believe it has the best quality and characteristics.
@@cbutters Tablets are a diffent beast. They have to be thin and light...wich oled is and mini-LED is not. While laptop sits on a table or on your lap, tablets must be held in your hand. Apple know what they are doing
60hz in 2024 is inexcusable. "I use 60hz on my professional editing monitor" this is a laptop, scrolling is HORRENDOUS in 60hz saying otherwise is unjustifiably lying to my face. Px13 could be perfect, but it's unusable
PS: the flow can push more wattage in manual mode or with g helper
I saw on another channel it mentioned 75W - ruclips.net/video/ppD6trIeg_w/видео.html
Asus seems to not willing to show this on their site
If I remember right... the GPU actually is rated and capable of 90W if you look at the NVIDIA-SMI data... The performance mode sets it to 75W though (including the 10W dynamic boost. You'd have to go into manual mode to get the 90W and it just can't keep up with heat and has to throttle to 75W or less in most cases, so the fact it can actually do higher wattage for a few seconds doesn't really mean much... expect 75W maximum in real world.
asus has glitches
60Hz 👎👎👎👎👎
Even MacBook PRO has 120Hz
