Later, regauging came back to discussion together with plans for a tram-train system, which would utilize the railroad tracks as well as the tram tracks. This tram.-train "dreams" are the reason why there are four rail dual gauge tracks on the line to Petržalka. Remains of gauge change are visible in short three-rail sections, but are soon to be a past, because when reconstructing tracks, the third "1435 mm rail" is not being replaced.
