Great lesson very informative. I have recently been reading the book of Hebrews chapter 6 verses 4-6. Could you please explain those verses for me. Thank you, and may God bless you.
If you are going to quote scripture, then please quote it accurately. The scripture in Proverbs does not say that pride comes before a fall. It says pride comes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall. The meaning is similar, but not the same. Scripture should be accurately quoted.
The Hebrew word in Prov 16:18 for haughty is translated many times as pride such as in Ps. 10:4. The hosts may have been speaking from memory which is not always perfect, but the statement pride comes before a fall is still Biblically accurate as that Hebrew word is many times translated haughty or pride.
@GBNTV So if we change a word here and change a word there, it's OK? Do that and pretty soon you have false teaching. I believe if they are going to quote scripture , they should be accurate.
@@TCS088 1. The men in the video obviously do their best to attempt to quote every verse perfectly, but sometimes they have imperfect recall. I think we all understand that. 2. The same Hebrew word is used and is sometimes translated pride and sometimes haughty. The ideas are identical. This does not constitute false teaching.
@@GBNTV I did not say they were teaching falsely. You read that into my comment. I said that IF we start changing a word here and then change a word there, then we can end up with false teaching. Let's change the "and" in Acts 2:38 to "or." Now it reads "repent or be baptized." See how changing ONE single word can make a difference" I agree, neither I nor they have perfect recall. In that case, we should look up the scripture and read it accurately.
Good lesson. We all need to be reminded. Sometimes these sins are over looked.
Good lesson thanks for the insight keep teaching the truth may God continue to bless y'all
Great subject of discussion to give serious thoughts and self-examination.
Be the change you want to see
