Excellent review and methodology! I want to build a fan for home use that is nearly silent - I am thinking about building an enclosure with multiple fans and using a Helmhotz resonator chamber to eliminate those frequency peaks. Do you have any suggestions about which fan would be better regarding airflow and noise?
hmm in testing I liked the toughfan14pro, arctic P14 max probably the most. the max would be very affordable. I have a best of video series. best of all fans and best of inexpensive.
I have a whole video series on that. It actually matters more what distance there is between the mesh and the fan. if its right next to it, it can reduce airflow by over 40% but if there's some space its less of an effect.
@@computer-tech-more is it possible to you to test the p14 argb. also for right now my rig using fractal north xl the intake from front using arctic p14 (quieter than p28) and using aio liquid freezer 3 280 argb, and p28 as back exhaust, do you think this enough or = i use p28 for intake however i can only use it till 1900rpm coz its so loud while p14 can use max rpm.
@@alifakbar500 I actually have the testing for that done, but the video is in editing along with like 10 other videos. the fans you have should be good. the P14 vs the P28 have very different max RPM's. so that kind of make sense. Unless the fans are making a terrible sound or your thermals are terrible I think you just need to find the right fan RPM to noise levels you like. both the P28 and P14 ARGB perform well in my tests. Though the P14 being larger can move more air at the same RPM
@@noble64115 I have a video in progress for the TL-E12B extreme its in the top 10 for best all rounders. 11 overall in coolers, 14 for case airflow. Its pretty good. The b12 extreme is generally better rated in my testing. but it also has a higher max RPMs
Pity there is no practical way for a small reviewer to run the different fans for a few years then retest. I know out of the box some fans can beat Noctua on a test bed but i have never had to replace one. Silent wings are wonderful new but don't seem to last as well.
yep. I have a general plan for what I want to do as an end goal but ya just can do it. one is to run fans at 100% till they go out or start making bad sounds as a longevity test. Another could be like this run a fan for X hours then re-test.
not exactly i found some resonant or harmonic frequencies in the fan. for me personally that is a deal breaker. but for you it might not be. I have a full video featuring the fan.
@@JetSe77er compared to the tough14pro the G2 has a lower pitch but its not super low. I found it higher than the old A14 but lower than most fans with its blade count. if that makes sense. since I'm not currently using the G2 day to day I cant really comment on that well.
Been waiting for this one, greatly appreciate it! The Noise Normalized results are insanely good!
Ya. I did think about getting the cooler framed one but decided against it since I actually wanted this fan and the give it the best testing I could.

@computer-tech-more thank you!
spin the case or the graph around for distance vs air speed
haha ok. itll probably be the case.
Hi how to use anemometer for setting fan speed on a computer case?
i use the anemometer to take the fan readings and use FanControl to control the fan PWM signal.
@@computer-tech-more Ok i ordered one looking to learn. Thank you.
Just wanna ask, how much it effect airflow speed performance if the front of fan have fine mesh like in fractal north xl. Thanks

@@computer-tech-more gonna check now, btw good works keep it up
@@alifakbar500 thank you. :)
if you have any questions just leave a comment in the chat for that video or I have a discord I can answer there

Got 3 of them and put on Liquid Freezer 3 420mm
wow. thats pretty epic.
Is this suitable for use as a case fan?
yes
do you think the TL-B12 Extrem LCP would beat the TL-B12 EXTREM at the same 2k rpm
I think they would be the same. the advantage should come at max RPM's and longevity. LCP will stretch less with time and at higher RPM.
@computer-tech-more
Alright what about thoughts on the B12 extreme and E12B v3
Sorry these types of fans intrigue me but no one seems to review them

Хороший корпусной вентилятор, но цвет не нравится!
haha well yes its good looking in its own special way. hard to build a color matching system
Sooo, pathetic... Also, how many years do we have to wait for them to release the black version
