Taeyeon has a gift of expression when she sings... There are a lot of better vocalists, but I always still feel like she expresses the feeling of ballads the best.

A lot of the singers who may be technically better than Taeyeon tend to add in unnecessary runs that just come off as ostentatious and annoying, or modulate the notes that are already in the song during live performances to just be like, "hey, look what I can do!" Taeyeon just sings the song straight, and sings it with an extraordinary gift of emotion. Sometimes she does runs, but they never feel like she's just showing off. That's why she's my favorite vocalist in pop music right now.

I'm hoping taeyeon gets a solo career! She is amazing. Not that the other girls arent but personally I feel taeyeon is the best singer out of all of them. Her voice is so beautiful and her solos are so amazing . The top three snsd singers would have to be Taeyeon, Jessica, and Tiffany. :-)

Jeremae Estella I didn't say Tiffany is a bad singer, I like her voice sometimes, like in the song "not alone" Tiffany does a perfect adlib. Unlike Seohyun, we all know she can sing, but just average, she rarely adds any distinctive characteristics to the song, a forgettable voice.
+Maple Trilogy Don't compare them. They all have an awesome voices in different styles. Which can make them unique.

Except those of us who are vocally trained (not by the pop industry but actual doctorate voice professors) know that people get vocal nodules in the first place because of unhealthy singing habits. Rarely rarely rarely ever is a person simply born with vocal nodules. Some develop them by speaking/singing too soon after recovery from a serious illness, but in Tiffany's case, she pushes too much and she tries too hard to make her voice sound huskier than it already is. Personally, I think if she cut back on these 2 things, she would still sound great and her vocal cords would be grateful for the less straining. People often mess up their vocal cords from too much pressure on trying to make their voice sound a certain way. I like to use Jessica as an example of a good vocalist because I hate the way her voice sounds (high and rather nasally), but she sings with the voice God gave her. Sure, I hate the sound of her voice, but she's a good singer because she works with what it is. I love the natural sound of Tiffany's voice. She just needs to let go of feeling the need to apply so much pressure to make it sound stronger. That's all. But, I do agree that there are many who will comment and simply say, "She sucks." Those people are just plain rude.
+LillyChea23 I don't think Tiffany wanted to sing with a huskier voice, it just happened and Tiffany just has to accepts her new huskier voice. Bad technic causes nodules, but her genetics probably made her more likely to get it.

OMG gotta love these girls. They are cleverly matched vocally - Taeyeon with her dulcet, technically superb and sweet vocals and Tiffany with her soaring belting yet subtle vocals - just perfect for this song. Tiffany is a real performer and lives each song and Taeyeon conveys emotion and intense feeling at every note. The melody is very catchy and convincing - they are really "lost in love". I think Tiff's dress is more avante garde - and really anything goes in the pop world. It's all art!

Jessica has the highest voice in the group, with the best vibrato. Sorry hun, Jessica is a a lot better than her. Does that mean tiffany is bad? NO! Jessica is the second main vocalist in the group and thats that. Just cuz you don't wanna believe doesn't mean it's not true. BTW, Jessica would do great in this song, she would give a feeling of a delicate love. While Taeyeon would just set the stage on fire.
I think she means by that is Jessica's voice is made for singing high pitches. And this song is both high and low pitch which both Tiffany and Taeyeon (not hating on Jessica) so the song might sound off if Jessica sang it

Taeyeon got her solo career, deservedly so! At one time, 12 separate radio and TV programs rated her No. 1 singer in Kpop! She is fantastic! And Tiffany, to her credit, held her own in this one! She has had it tough, singing next to Taeyeon and Jessica most of entertaining career! People tend to compare them, but she is a great singer in her own right.

I can't choose top 3 singers in SNSD because for me, Taeyeon, Tiffany, Seohyun and Jessica are the best!!! 4 of them has different voices, styles and talent in singing.
