Hiring someone to remove your turf was a sanity saving move Stacey! A great reminder that just because we can do it, doesn’t mean it’s always the right decision to do it.

I'm in that boat right now. But, it's not in the budget for me right now unfortunately. It is kicking me in the butt lol.

Love your program and have learned so much!! I have 2 large mature Spirea in my yard in Denver. They bloom spring-autumn nonstop. They are covered with aphids in early spring each year! Once I get that under control, they’re problem -free and I do love them. The grasshoppers don’t touch them! Hallelujah!! Thanks so much for sharing such valuable gardening info with us in a joyful, fun way!

Spirea is one of the few things deer don’t eat, bugs leave alone, doesn’t need extra water…what more do I want? And the PW spirea I have is gorgeous and the pollinators love them!

whatever the question, LANTANA is the answer! So many colors, shapes, sizes, even varigation!

Love that Lantana is always covered in butterflies. But it is so persistent and weedy in the hotter zones. When it's taller than you and gives you contact dermatitis as you try to cut it back....never again. All I see is poison ivy with pink and yellow flowers. If it would stay small- to medium sized without needing to touch it so much, I would love it. So a word of caution for long summer folks- Lantana absolutely loves hot and will outcompete basically everything you plant it next to. Which is fantastic when you need something that can handle hard conditions and alarming when it gets even a little supplemental water.

I love your show and thank you for all the gardening expertise. I live in Zone 6b and have bought some boxwoods. Is this one of the shrubs that it is not best to plant in fall?

Thank you for answering my question about deadheading hardy hibiscus (and pronouncing my name correctly!). Our hibiscus was setting new flower buds, but I'm afraid the deer ate most of them. There are several seed pods, and I'm curious to see what they look like. Will the seeds produce the same plant? However, I assume that they're hybrids and will not.
I listen to your show every Saturday while working or rather watering in our SW PA garden, and then watch it again on YT for the photos of Stacey's plant on trial. Thanks for the entertaining and educational videos. Watch out, Rick, Stacey is catching up with you in the pun game! 😂

I love PW Spirea selections, but I'm a little puzzled - what's the difference between the Double Play Doozie and the DP Red? I have loved the Doozie for a couple of years, and it's finally carried in NC, but now I'm undecided again. Help!
Thanks again for a wonderful show. Greatly enjoyed it. 🤩🌺🌾

We have access to cranberry mulch/compost. What are your thoughts on that type of mulch/ compost?

With regard to the sweet box, isn't purple foliage a sign of fertilizer burn?
