Honestly just save an extra 150 and grab a PKP/PKM. Same gearbox and hop unit however you’re gaining a big ass magazine and direct feeding system under the receiver. Also the cool factor at the field. Can’t beat a beefy PK.
I was just WAITING for that to bite…. Just waiting…. 😂. It was inevitable. Love the videos, Luke. Would love some GBBR videos at some point. I know AEG is more your thing, but would love to see your brilliant style applied to a GBB M4, AK or 249
Wish you had posted something like this last year when I was wrestling with my 249.. it won with 2 submissions. Great vid though and given me the kick to revisit.🥴
The 249 would have been on the top of my list, but I got myself stuck with the AGM MG42 recently, which needs some tweaking before it will be properly fieldable. It has been eating the spur gear teeth, and now, the split gearbox is giving me a headache with its attachment into the receiver, as it does not seem to get attached in a predictable way. Obviously, I already replaced the plastic piston (it came with a plastic rack, I kid you not). Will probably have to do some fiddling to get the gearbox fit right. Anyway, I like these Negative Airsoft reviews. Brutally honest, as it should be. Cheers.
I have a 249 that my pops got me almost 10yrs ago now. Recently got it to work for like a single stream of bbs that went 6ft.. was thinking about getting it fixed but not sure now lol.
Yes sir What do you think of the Novitsch SSG10A3 Sniper rifle They look awesome To me anyway How do you think this compares to the Silverback fan 41 lite Once again sir thank you for your time I appreciate you answering my question thank you again
Nearly bought one of novi's gbb 1911s cuz of all the youtubers glazing it when it came out, glad I found your content. ps. whats the bgm playing at the start of the video?
I'm surprised that there isn't an average SSR 25 yet. Hopefully they use cyma, classic army, double bellor e&c as the oem. Ootb the a&knows horrendous. I heard it shoot him and it sounded dead which is why the guy made it his mission to make the ultimate dmr. Cyma was surprisingly good with an anodized handguard. Don't know about e&c, or double bell.Unfortunately the g&g and vfc share the same issue with the ge and ares (I would hope it's not ares even if they beefed it up because you can't polish a turd) They use a regular cylinder. If it's going to g&g it better use the g3 extended gb.
if i didn't already own a slightly upgraded A&K m249 i would have picked this up but mine is already has better internals and performance except for that nice hop up unit
It looks like a re-branded Solink V5, but instead of using a standalone programmer they use the gate etu itself to control the programming. If you look up reviews for those it would probably give you a decent idea of what to expect from it.
@@Simisdim If you mean the green heart monitor blip, that's a Type O Negative reference - my left sleeve is all horror themed, so there are two RE quotes (itchy itchy scott came & a monologue from Jill at the start of RE3 nemesis) & then loads of horror quotes
It reminds me of an a&k with some really minor upgrades, a bit too overpriced imho, you still have to open it and void the waranty to make it works properly, i'm not a fan of 16.1 on saw, i would prefer standard ratio gears paired with 11.1, in the end you need the same treatment as other m249
I mean standard ratio is 18:1 so a 16:1 isn't much of a change. I run 13:1 ss 4 teeth in my pkm but I also built it with a specific purpose and joule limit in mind.
Mosfet is a better option for a support gun because of 1 thing, amperage. Most microswitch arent meant to handle more than 25a (they can handle more but shortens the lifespan of the switch and may reduce amps). Depending on what you are running, high torque brushless or standard, gear ratio etc... you will probably exceed the amp rating of the microswitch causing it to burn out and give less performance due to it not being able to handle well the amps required. Yes they are cheap but it just extends the life of the parts inside your gun so why not do it?
so throw reliability of a support gun through the window because the switch is 2$? So by that logic you shouldnt have replaced the cylinder head because oh well if a gear strips or the piston breaks it's only 10-20$. With a bit of wiring, connectors, a 12v relay can be had for 10-20$ so it's an easy upgrade
@wrenchtheroo6557 you need to remember that most 'techs' can't solder for shit & neither can most people - i for one detest soldering, I hate doing it. Shops & techs will push the inclusion of a mosfet as it's a 40% mark up on the unit & they will push a very expensive unit like a warfet plus the labour costs. I've seen more burnt out support guns with mosfets & additional wiring than I've seen melted or burnt out microswitches and that just a fact. Think about the amount of money it costs to run a support gun for 1 day.... add 2 quid. It's nothing, it's literally nothing. A microswitch will last years in a support gun under normal usage but if you balls up the installation of a mosfet 'pooof' instant loss.
@ talking about a relay here wich is much more reliable and bomb proof than a mosfet for the load of a mg, plus connectors can be crimped with normal pliers if you can't solder, i just see soldering as more reliable. Automotive relay can handle high ammounts of amps. A fully charged 11.1 will be 12.60v and whats a car battery voltage full charge? Also 12.60v (minus fresh alternator charge). You can easily find 40a+ relay for cheap. Yes it adds wiring but also at the same time you can upgrade for a higher gauge wire say 16ga or even 14ga since you have space. But i am the type to make things as reliable as they can to avoid any type of breakage or issues during a game. I am starting as a tech and i still have things to learn about aeg specific things but as a diesel mechanic, electric systems and mechanical works is easy for me
@wrenchtheroo6557 there are many things that are easy for me, I don't suggest others should all do those things.... In a world where people don't clean barrels, chrono on .2g, always running the most powerful battery & can't set their own hop up - £2 microswitch. If you're just starting as a Tech, it's not that your opinion is invalid but you don't have the life experience of nearly 30 years of airsoft tech work that I & others have. £2 switch You also started this whole thing with 'a mosfet' is a better option' which you've now changed....
They released to content creators early, who fed back that there were major issues and so followed up with this one. Not sure if Luke had the initial batch as well, but folks like AirsoftCamman did a review (probably on his Extra channel).
This may be a dumb question, but is it possible to have 1 battery power, both the gun and the box mag? So that way, while the gun is firing, it will also wind the mag?
Yes, you would need basic soldering hardware to do so tho. You would have to put the box mag motor in series to the switch, either on the positive or negative it doesn't really matter so lets say. Battery pos->box mag motor->microswitch->motor->negative battery or you can put it in between the motor and the negative on the battery
Cool vid mate...but could you please in the future turn down the music a bit? Or increase the volume of your voice? Otherwise great technical vid. Cheers mate!
