I was the sound mixer for this show in 1980. This sounds like a stage monitor mix fed directly from the mixing board. Mostly vocals and a few instruments. The house mix would have had all instruments and vocals with reverb. Rick and Richard didn’t record their shows so it was probably recorded by the club staff. Rick hated to do a sound check...so that’s him talking to me about the monitor speaker on stage.
P.S. That picture of Rick & Richard was originally posted by me, which is cool, I think my aunt (Rick's wife) took it, but like I said before, lose the other graphics!
I’m a huge fan of your Uncle; one of the coolest nights of my life is having seen The Band in Chicago in April of 96. Rick regaled all with The Danko Shuffle. At one point, he was singing It Makes No Difference, and accidentally turned a measure of 4/4 into a 5/4 while Jim and Richard Bell exchanged knowing looks. Rick and Levon signed my copy of Levon’s book afterwards. Incredible evening, topped by the fact that I got to sit about 10 yards from my music idol, Garth Hudson. I thought that I read an interview where Rick admitted to spending $100,000 to $200,000 annually on drugs. Did I read that correctly? Caught your vid with all the things that your aunt turned over to you after Rick passed. I was green with envy!

sounds very sloppy
WTF is up with the graphics??? Great music but the rest is crap.
P.S. I would give this a thumbs down but Rick Danko was my uncle and I cannot deny his craft, as well as being friends with Levon & Richard.
