As a guy who thought I was Jesus for a while, I too met another Jesus in the mental hospital. He told me he fought in Afghanistan and that one of the pro basketball players on his t-shirt was trying to kill him and I should be careful if I see him. Then some days later I entered a full blown psychosis and I actually ran up to him, fell to my knees, then started saying "I'm pretty sure I'm the real Jesus, like I'm **really** pretty sure I'm Jesus." My hope was that I was wrong. When this other Jesus reacted he just said "get up off the floor man, you aren't Jesus". The whole reason I thought I was Jesus is because of the hallucinations I was having that were confirming my delusions, but they were also confirming my assumptions about other people there. Religious notions were snuck into my mind because I was admitted at midnight to a room. I was waiting alone in the dark in the common area to be taken to my room, everyone was asleep except this one very pregnant woman who mysteriously walked up to me, told me "the prophecy had been fulfilled", then she walked away to her room. My reaction was "well I'm definitely in a mental hospital." not making anything of it. That little thing grew into an explanation for the things that were happening to me. I also caused this woman to have her own delusions through my actions and words. At various points I thought I might be God, Satan, some other various deity, or maybe the object of a psychic operation by the CIA or aliens testing human minds. The craziest thing that still sticks with me is that I somehow knew the hardships of other people there. I would just walk up to someone, start talking, and somehow I knew why they were there. Today at times it still feels like something or someone is putting ideas into my mind. It's as if they are trying to secretly communicate with me through manipulating my surroundings to create an excess of coincidences. I think this phenomena is the origin of religion.

Haven’t watched the whole video yet, but I’m going to go out on a leap and say No, he isn’t Jesus. But this does sound interesting, so thank you for the video Dr. Grande.
Jesus Christ will come again, but he said it will be like lightning comes from the East to the West and everyone will know it. And he warned that there would be people like this guy claiming to be Jesus. The real Jesus Christ hasn't been floating around as a spirit he bodily arose on the third day and sits at the right hand of God the Father.
Love your dry wit and sense of humour, so I'm going to enjoy this one ;) Not only that but your videos are very educational and easy to understand, you have a great way of explaining things. Salute!
If he is really the Jesus of Nazareth that was written about in the gospels and remembers his life of two millennia ago, he should easily speak first century Aramaic. I would love to see him try. I know it was mentioned in the video, but it would be something he should absolutely be able to do if his claim was remotely true.
So, if somebody could speak Aramaic it would prove they are Jesus? It would only prove they could speak Aramaic. Just like if somebody could speak Latin wouldn't prove they were Julius Caesar re-incarnated. lol
I never cease to be amazed at the incredible gullibility of people who fall for these absurd cults. Critical thinking seems to be a lost art among a large percentage of the human population.
Is there really that much difference between believing THIS GUY is Jesus, vs believing you "have a personal relationship with Jesus" (like literally billions of people believe)? In a way, these cult members are the less gullible ones- at least the object of their worship can be shown to actually EXIST.

Definitely “not thinking” is the strong suit of the followers. Hell is smelly, lol. Excellent analysis of the Devine Truth. So many vulnerable people look for acceptance and fall prey to a cult.
About the only difference I can see between religion and a cult... religion worships dead masters, and cults living ones. They both suppress reason and rational thought in favor of belief in the supernatural, rely on brainwashing, and adhering to fabricated dogma to be recognized as a member.

Guess you don't qualify for membership in this sect of The Secret believers, but you certainly have impressed me and your many commenters who've remarked on your superlative deadpan skills. Have there been studies done on which religious figure is most often "reincarnated" or, as in this case, "transported" back to Earth? Buddha, Mohammed, Shiva, they don't seem to get the same Press as Jesus. Is that just because of Western bias or do non-Christians just have a better grasp on reality? This was in Sarasota, Florida. This is where I live now.. Her ex husband was a millionaire living in Texas, where I used to live. Another horrible case in Sarasota, Florida is the kidnapping and murder of Carlie Bruschia. Snatched while walking home via a shortcut through a car wash, that had video of the kidnapping. This case broke the hearts of everyone here. Her Mother was destroyed, eventually dying of a drug overdose. Just a thought. .

@@gilbertfranklin1537 Learn the definitions of words, dude. And what exactly is it that you are agnostic about? I myself am an agnostic atheist, and are the vast majority of so-called atheists. It means that I don’t know if any god or gods exist (or ever existed) and I don’t believe a god or gods exists. Atheism goes to one’s beliefs about gods, while agnosticism goes to what one knows about something. I’m agnostic about unicorns too, but I don’t call myself an agnostic because of it. But then again, I’m also aunicornist (if I may coin a word) because I don’t believe they exist. I don’t need to prove anything becuase I’m not making a positive claim. You, my friend, are also an agnostic atheist I would surmise.
@@Catlily5 I image it’s a little word play joke, but if you want to get technical we are all born atheists. Until our parents tell us about the possible existence of mythological beings like gods none of use believes in them. A 1 year old cannot believe in god, so we all were atheist at one point from birth until some of us began to believe in a god (or gods, lets not leave the Hindus out). When a Christian, for example, decides that they no longer believe in the Abrahamic god, and also don’t believe in any other god, you could call them born again atheists. But again it was just a joke, I assume.
Thank you very much for this video Dr Grande. Mat 24:4 And *Jesus answered and said to them, Take heed that no one lead you astray. Mat 24:5 For many shall come in my *name, saying, I am the Christ; and shall deceive many. Mat 24:23 Then if any one say to you, Lo, here is the Christ, or, Here; believe not. Mat 24:24 For false Christs shall arise and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.

It was far more refreshing than hell-strength air freshener, Dr. Grande. I could smell not a whiff of sulphur and I laughed aloud at a couple of your astute observations. Thank you.
His parents believed he was Jesus, but not his wife.....but his mother once took him to see a mental health professional? I was raised in Jehovah's Witnesses, too, and no J'sWs mother is going to employ the services of a mental health professional or later believe her son is Jesus.
I watched the documentary about him and find it interesting that he was a teacher of Jehova Witnesses. Seems like he forgot his Father's teachings during the 1900 years also. In the documentary it was said he left when there was a dispute about him being with a prostitute! Loved your humor and comments that were so called for. I pray those children caught in the trap of his teachings are rescued from their beguiled parent so they have a chance to have a normal life. Great video Dr.
Alan & Mary do not have a compound, and never did. i know that because I have known both Alan & Mary for about alomst a decade, and had many conversations with them too. If you look in the description of this video, Todd is only using trashy media sources, instead of the original sources, which he didn't mention at all. The original claim of this came from a show in 2011 by chanel seven, and the footage used both showed a tall barbed wire fence (which was not on the property, it was stock footage) ,and an over-head shot of a property that was my mother's property down the road, not theirs. And there are at least literally 30 factual errors in this video on the topic of "what alan & mary actually claim or teach" (which is not the same as believeing them, rather a case of straw-maning VS Steel-maning.
I mean, Todd here doesnt even mention in his sources the available various long, unedited interviews with Journalists with Alan & Mary, or David Walsh (also reports same memories since childhood, same as Alan & Mary separately). I think David has done much less coz less interviews. His son Tristan also did an interview.

This is incredible, Doctor. I really like how you can tell when the ridiculousness of this overrides your Level 100 Deadpan skill. Thank you for bringing attention to issues like this in your unique way.

I love videos doc does on cults and conspiracy theories! The deadpan jokes are priceless!
Haven’t watched the whole video yet, but I’m going to go out on a leap and say No, he isn’t Jesus. But this does sound interesting, so thank you for the video Dr. Grande.
LOL! I was thinking the same thing.
Nope. Not Jesus.
Agreed, maybe he's Jeebus and living in a world of neuroticism.
That's quite a leap. Lol I don't know man

If he is really the Jesus of Nazareth that was written about in the gospels and remembers his life of two millennia ago, he should easily speak first century Aramaic. I would love to see him try. I know it was mentioned in the video, but it would be something he should absolutely be able to do if his claim was remotely true.
Always an excuse for the hard stuff!
Jesus didn't exist. From Nazareth or Bethlehem?
I was thinking the same thing , also what language did he converse with Plato?
@@BenState He was born in Bethlehem and grew up in Nazareth.

And how!
Is there really that much difference between believing THIS GUY is Jesus, vs believing you "have a personal relationship with Jesus" (like literally billions of people believe)?
In a way, these cult members are the less gullible ones- at least the object of their worship can be shown to actually EXIST.
@Ricardo Mercedes Exactly, and that anyone keeps voting Democrat is further proof.

Definitely “not thinking” is the strong suit of the followers. Hell is smelly, lol. Excellent analysis of the Devine Truth. So many vulnerable people look for acceptance and fall prey to a cult.
That’s true of religions as well as cults.
About the only difference I can see between religion and a cult... religion worships dead masters, and cults living ones. They both suppress reason and rational thought in favor of belief in the supernatural, rely on brainwashing, and adhering to fabricated dogma to be recognized as a member.
People look for love, which includes acceptance. 🙂

Congrats, Dr Grande. You managed to get through the entire background portion of this video without a trace of emotion.
As always, appreciate your efforts ❤️
I love your sarcadtic tome when talking about religious crazziness. You're the best Dr G! X

Great job for this description of such a dangerous cult leader and mentioning the Oprah promoted The Secret & The Secret book both of which promotes Tony Quinn's EDUCO Cult. It would be great to see you look at this also :-)
Dr. Grande, I'd like for you to do a case analysis of Sheila Bellush. She was killed at home, by a hit man hired by her ex husband. Her quadruplets were found in the house with her blood on them.

I'm sucked into a cult.... my 6 rescue cats. They totally control my emotional financial and spacial places. I control their survival and happiness. And I'm good with! I chose to do. I'm a born again Atheist and find these stories fascinating!
Manic Kayak - I am agnostic and cannot believe that anyone is Atheist. How can you PROVE that a person doesn't exist who doesn't exist?
It is even difficult to prove cultists are crazy - though Dr Grande does a pretty good job of it, even without diagnosing anyone... 😉
What is a born again Atheist?
You are The Cat Goddess. Hailed by cats everywhere!
Thanks Dr Grande. I appreciate your researching this.
Thank you very much for this video Dr Grande. Jesus warned us expressly against false Christs and false teachers:
Mat 24:3 And as he was sitting on the mount of *Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, Tell us when these things shall be? and what the sign of thy *presence and consummation of the age?
Mat 24:4 And *Jesus answered and said to them, Take heed that no one lead you astray.
Mat 24:5 For many shall come in my *name, saying, I am the Christ; and shall deceive many.
Mat 24:23 Then if any one say to you, Lo, here is the Christ, or, Here; believe not.
Mat 24:24 For false Christs shall arise and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.
Hi that is put up very good for people to see what Jesus said, and that new Jesus is a bit late as I was talking to Jesus in Darwin 30 years ago just as a man he never claimed to be the son of God, if they have a baby what will they name the child any guesses 😊

Another homerun from Dr. Grande. On the tails of this analysis, I would suggest to you Dr. and to all your subscribers to take a look to a "lady" called Arabella del Busso, also from Australia. This is beautiful Dr Grande ...
it's very interesting you found him. I watched him a few years ago and he gave me David Koresh reborn vibes... I talked to him and even said it and they both lost it on me and told me to rebuke that in the name of Jesus Christ.. It was scary. be careful Dr.Grande.
So was I n not seeking a mental health professional is not true.
She did try to have him committed
His parents never believed

I watched the documentary about him and find it interesting that he was a teacher of Jehova Witnesses.
Seems like he forgot his Father's teachings during the 1900 years also. In the documentary it was said he left when there was a dispute about him being with a prostitute! Loved your humor and comments that were so called for. I pray those children caught in the trap of his teachings are rescued from their beguiled parent so they have a chance to have a normal life. Great video Dr.
It's often said that (the first) Mary Magdalen was a prostitute.
I'd like you to analyze Teal Swan. She's creepy with a compound too.
@@virginia3937 I just finished it.
The opinions and comments are very interesting 😶
Would you share the link for the teal swan video please? He has so many videos, it's hard to find it!
@@michellejohnsen912
Hello Michelle,
I don' t know & have never met Teal Swan, but if you look at what I saidjust above, do you expect Todd Grande to accurately represent what Teal Swan says as well, or just go off her critics or media criticism?
Maybe, i don't know - but at least it would makes sense to check if he is using original sources if he claims to tell you what she teaches or says? Unlike the this video.
