My favourite quote that I like to think about related to this topic is from C.S. Lewis “If you look for truth, you may find comfort in the end; if you look for comfort you will not get either comfort or truth only soft soap and wishful thinking to begin, and in the end, despair.”
I was lucky in my jobs throughout my life. It wasn't about money. It was about fun. I managed health food stores during the day and bartending at night. Always entertaining. I moved on to catering bartending management and was always at a party. I was going to university, got an art teaching degree and a BFA...taught design and photography analog and digital for 22 years. When getting a Fine Arts degree you have to sit before the entire art professor faculty and discuss your work. When i said I painted because it was fun, they said that wasn't a good enough reason. When I discovered I was a 7, I was grateful because it was okay to make art because it was fun. I didn't have to explain myself to them. I said you're not getting in...I am happy with my explanation and having fun is valid. That was huge for me. I retired during pandemic and sadly became disabled. I switched from a 7 w5wing, to a 5 with a 7 wing, because I can't walk. Ascollections go...I have a 2500 sq ft house filled with art, 1000s of books, and art supplies, along the way...vintage furniture, vintage jewelry and clothing...every where. I want to let it go...but my physical ability is not good anymore. I've turned into more of a 5 because I can't do anymore.
Hi Tom! It's me "Ms 5"...coming over to see what you had to say about Type 7's....and just had to mention that the phrase "less is more" is one of my all time faves. So funny that you are using it as advice for 7's.
So funny because I am listening to this and tracking packages I've ordered over the past few weeks, LOL! I appreciate your accurate view of us 7s. I am decluttering and making some shifts.
I wish I had learned it sooner. Last year I would always have something to do on a weekend, more than one option of event to go to. At first I loved it, I felt like I was living it all. But then I started to get tired. Instead of joy, more than one event on the same day would give me severe anxiety, to the point of overthinking how different my life would have been if I had chosen event A instead of event B (even though I had a great time at event B). I ended up breaking up and feeling exhausted, never being fully present. I hope it's not too late now.
Hey, I hear you! It's tough to juggle multiple events and the pressure of choosing the "right" one. Remember, it's okay to take a breather and focus on what truly matters to you.
Hey Tom I would love to see more of the hey types videos especially for type fours!!!! And as well tips and spiritual things the Holy Spirit is doing through all the Ennegram types in Ennegram type fours especially since I am a type four and all the Ennegram nine types!!!!!
What do you say to a 7 that thinks they are a 4? I have a couple in my life. One asked what i see in them in relation to the enneagram... but it seems to me that most 7s don't see themselves as 7s. If they are asking, what can i say that will get them to see they are a 7 and not a 4?!

Just like dating different MBTI types for different experiences in polyamory 😮
It's interesting how MBTI types can influence relationships in different ways.
My 8w7 pickup artist would limit himself to 1 new girl/month
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on how a pickup artist would approach dating.
So good. How could you get a 7 to slow down to watch this? Need 7 bait.
Right
Listen to it while doing another task, that's usually how I watch longer form content, and get tasks done without getting bored!
Traveling to every country 💀
Hope you have a really big suitcase for all those passport stamps!

A social 7 I should add!
Just remind them of all the fun and excitement they bring to every situation - that's a classic 7 trait!
