I think it proves mind set is everything.. liquid thought he was inferior, snake just wanted to do the job.. the rex vs Ray battle in 4 represents this
@@bojack99Well...not exactly. Rex was always meant to be the ultimate Metal Gear. Ray was developed to destroy knock-off version of Rex around the globe, but not the real thing. In MGS4 Otacon said he had already planed Rex to have a lot of mobility and taking advantage of its bulk, it could do massive damage if it kicked anything. Rex in MGS4 was a walking zombie, it had its armor plates removed, it lost its railgun. Meanwhile Ray was modified version of the original and still lost. Long live Rex
@Rock Master Dan Probably, but Otacon also mentioned they had one in Tower B, so either Otacon saw it on his way or Shadow Moses just keeps rocket launchers lying around in the event that a rogue chopper comes by
as dumb as it is seeing snake doing back flips off of things to avoid danger, it is refreshing to see these encounters actually pose a threat to him in cutscene, in the original snake kinda just bumbles into scenes and the player gets them out of it (and thats where they take damage) but seeing snake having to avoid debris and get slammed against stuff, shows that he actually has gone through some abuse to get through it all

Probably not. In a linear game like this, for the object in the game to take damage, the developers need to enable something called a 'collider', and also set up the chopper's 'health' and behavior scripts. Most likely, the rocket will either react like you're shooting a wall, or even more likely, go through the helicopter.

I was about to comment how unrealistic for Liquid to control helicopter from co-pilot seat by himself in such weather conditions in both games, but apparently there is a pilot in helicopter alongside Liquid in original and in TTS he controls helicopter from pilot seat by himself. I wonder if it was deliberately made like this or devs didn't have enough time to polish everything? I mean, I dislike some cut-scenes in TTS, but I always skip any cut-scenes in every MGS game. Gameplay is what I like a lot about TTS as it was taken directly from MGS2 and it's very hard to play original after both of those games. If only forgettable music style wasn't taken from MGS2...
