Actually, no, I suppose some of them may have been marginally intelligent before they became legally insane and became followers of the Lying Monster and Grifter Trump. But nothing more than average IQ, tops.
I have met a couple who seem intelligent,but they obviously have some sort of mental defect,if they think trump is anything more than the loser he so obviously displays he is.
I will simply vote AGAINST each and every single candidate that has NOT openly denounced the Trump movement. That said, I will vote FOR any person who has the GREATEST CHANCE of defeating that candidate. That the message of the Republican party right now is to do nothing but create chaos, and put aside any pretense of being legislators, is a message the Democrats need to really hammer in. At every opportunity. Taxpayers on both sides do not like paying the salaries of Congressmen that refuse to do their job. It's been a huge selling point from the Right for years. I actually find it surprising that they're taking this stance, as it could backfire on them spectacularly. Let's hope it does.
Absolutely! Even Ari faild to do this when he referred to the GOP intent to refuse to govern without mentioning that this makes them oathbreakers: they swore an oath of office to join Congress and now they break that oath by playing performance art games instead of governing.
Yeah I think the midterms next year will be really crucial in defining just how sick the country is of Republican politics. I don't think polling has accurately captured how angry most people are about the insurrection and the GOP coverup.

I viewed the GOP that way up until about 5 months ago. Now I feel that way about the left. Since the inaguaration the GOP has become considerably less extreme while the left has become categorically insane. I don't see anything dangerous about his campaign ad. I'm more concerned about the rampant racism, sexism, criminality, and elitism that have overtaken the left.

@@readynowforever3676 He won in 2018 and 2020, I think in large part because he was willing to call out Trumpers. A lot of his district is suburban, conservative but not very happy with Trump’s version of Republicanism. A lot of people here voted for both Biden and Crenshaw.
His district got massacred in the the redistricting. He is being set up to be primaried to punish him for saying things like this. A lot of the districts around Houston were redrawn to dilute the conservative but “dangerously educated” suburban voters with safely Trump-loving rural ones. That was done to Crenshaw’s district.
I am no longer in Crenshaw’s district as a result of the redistricting….

Well, among some circles, the ongoing driving force is to, "leave no disaster unexploited." The results of that mentality have observed consequences, like obstacles in the way, to be overcome.
I listened to Ted Cruz today and he always talks about himself and then everything is negative with the Democrats. Everyone must do what he says because he says so. Hawley is someone else who enjoys listening to himself talk. This is Living with Josh and Erin Hawley is an example of him thinking about himself. I can write a book about my family and life that would be more honest and realistic than his.
People with a public forum need to discuss issues and offer ideas, solutions, or compromises. Bob Dole is a good example of an honest man who worked with everyone while in office.

I honestly don't agree with the extremes on both sides. The only one I trust is Romney. I didn't like him in 2012 but when he stood up against his party after the insurrection, he earned my respect. That is real strength, not being the loudest in the room banging your chest like an animal. What I want in new candidates is the ability to pass legislation. Creating something is harder than destroying everything.
I felt the same way about Romney. But what real strength has he shown since then? That impeachment vote seems to be the last time he voted against the Trump agenda.

These politicians think this is all a game. There are people who are suffering right now, especially their constituents who are most affected by COVID.
