this song always makes me feel emotional, such a great way to end the album! think you're right with the references to the hiatus. tyler said those final lines were his attempts to describe the feeling of being on stage in front of their fans 'though i'm far from home, in trench I'm not alone, these faces facing me, they know what i mean'.
this song reminds me that even the small steps towards feeling better and recovering from mental health isses are important. you might not be able to fully 'leave the city' right now but you can still start to seek help and make plans to work towards a better mental state and sometimes making it through each day is enough of a reason to feel hopeful for the future.

Thanks for reacting to Twenty One Pilots. Great reaction as always. I like how you interpret this within the lore. But IRL, Leave The City is just as powerful. And it's so beautiful. The musical arrangement really showcases the emotions of the lyrics. Thanks for acknowledging Tyler's skill and artistry. Vulnerability too.

I absolutely love your Twenty one pilots reactions. I'm a looong time die hard member of the Clique and for me Tyler's lyrics are unmatched the way he puts the music together and produces it as well is just idk it's special it's really really special. The music in the part where Tyler's doing that angelic falsetto before he comes in with "in time I will leave the city for now I will stay alive" reminds me a lot of March to the sea... It gives me an almost like a feeling like I'm ascending lol. Anyways you always offer up insight that only die hards have those of us that know and understand not just the music or even the lore but Tyler's personal struggles with mental illness and suicidal thoughts and know that he's not going to give in to them you offer something I've missed or a difference in opinion from someone I know is as knowledgeable as I think I am maybe about his lyrics and I love that. I'm pretty obsessed lol not gonna lie like I'm not 😁 Truce saved my life though and Tyler Joseph's whole discography keeps me alive so I allow myself this obsession at least imo it's a healthy one lol.
Love this, I really appreicate you taking the time to share, I'm in the same boat as you, TOP's music is on another level, what they are able to do through music is game changing imo, way ahead of their time, their music has gotten me through some tough times as well! Much love AnnaLeah

I love that you said that because I never could figure out well other than the absolutely incredible sustenance that not just the lyrics that Tyler writes but also the choices he makes within the instrumentals and arrangement as well. I couldn't put my finger on what it was I wanted to say as far as how I feel their music is just soooooo keep going for like two hundred more oooo's lol better much better than any other artist (for me). That's it though it's game changing... Welp wdyk not only do you offer up that point of view on their musical content that I didn't see but even in the way I compliment our smol beans 😁😁 I love that.. Oh before I forget I wanted to ask on your last T∅P reaction and I forgot um I think I remember seeing you say on one of your previous reactions that you had gone to their show? Is that right if so are you planning on seeing them again on this tour or do you know? Just asking because the only negative thing I could ever think of to say about my Tyguy and Josh is that their concerts are frikkin addictive lol? Idk seeing them live it's different it's different.. I've been to not exaggerating hundreds of concerts thus far and it's not even close these guys omg the energy and like connection I feel every time not just with those two but Tyler always does the most amazing job of getting that same energy flowing through the crowd.. His like moments he just chit chats with us here and there have always just reminded me at least maybe it's just me though I doubt i it that everyone else that's attending this show is struggling or has struggled and he really unites us in the crowd and then it's chaos, in only the most amazing way, and I feel this almost like electricity flowing through me OMG especially during Tree's!!! No other show has ever done that to me. IDK I just wanted to know if you were planning on possibly seeing them live again? I've been so frikkin lucky to meet Tyler twice and Josh only once which just showed me even more how much they really do care about all of us ya know? For the most part musicians show gratitude towards their fans but I'm sorry it's not the same at all okay now I'm gonna stop. I'm so sorry lol 😊😊
