There is something strangely alluring about early 90's glamour. I absolutely love it! Movies from 1989-1995 all have it.
I miss the days when models were actually allowed to have personalities on the runway...
I think these days they all look blank or terrified because they need to concentrate on not twisting an ankle - look how sensible shoes were in those days, the average fashion-conscious girl today would consider those mumsy.
Dandylion I think it might just be the caliber of girls that are becoming "supermodels" these days. All it takes now to be a successful model is an above average face, being tall and slim, and having rich parents with connections in the industry. Greats like Naomi and Gisele had no problem working it in sky high heels, but girls today like Gigi (atrocious walk) and Kendall struggle to perfect the basics -.-

Holy shit. That's a lot of outfit changes. Today, it'll be a miracle if a girl can get two outfit changes, and it rarely three. But damn, how has Prada changed. Here, the style is very monotone, soft colors, with cuts that look very basic with a slight more sex appeal. Now is all quirky cutesy colorful patterns that are integrated into a very polygonal silhouettes that don't even accentuate the shape of a woman. Mr. Armani would agree that the clothes are hideous. Muiccia Prada said she hates the objectification of women through sexy clothes. A model like Karen Mulder looks too sexy to walk a Prada runway today.
The models are so beautiful AND the clothes! Too bad Christy, Claudia, and Kate weren’t there.
I loved this season, as Tatjana did a lot of runway.
