    Tip: sparkling water tricks your tastebuds into thinking you’ve ate something, so it helps curb the hunger. I love having some bubbly water during an extended fast! I need to fast more for Jesus and not just health, thanks for the reminder!

    great book that talks about fasting is Gods Chosen Fast really helped me understand fasting more

    I just read Esther, and in it Esther has Mordecai tell the other jews to fast for three days and she'll do the same and based on my understanding she's fasting for protection, I never thought of fasting for protection, for forgiveness/repentance is usually what comes to mind when thinking of fasting

    Every time I try fasting, I'll get major headaches. I drink plenty of water, pray and read the Word of Our Lord.
    Can you get me any advice to avoid such headaches? I mean I can even get through a day 🙁

    Uno de los mejores ayunos que podemos hacer es guiado por el espíritu santo , entrar a nuestra habitación y ponernos de derrodillas y derramarnos delante de la presencia de Dios , si ayunan no agan nada más dejen de lado todos sus afanes y vallan a su presencia tiempo con Dios , tiempo de humillación es lo mejor , se debilita el cuerpo y se fortalece el espíritu , yiye Ávila fue una de las personas que Dios usó para que entendiera muchas cosas respecto al ayuno , hay varias clases de ayuno , como el ayuno de Daniel , bendiciones a todos mis hermanos , cristo viene

    I'm afraid I will feel sick or even faint if I don't eat bc of low blood sugar 😅 any advise? 😊

      I would say, that as a diabetic, one should fast in such a way as the Daniel fast, where one just eats natural food such as fruits, legumes, nuts, rice, flat breads(no yeast!) and other such examples of healthy food/drink(I support having just straight juice(no additional substance within the drink, such as added sugars/preservatives, just natural juice from the fruit!) if you have low blood sugar on your fast!)

    It's great you're sharing your journey. A couple of notes, respectfully.
    It is surprising to hear you hadn't done one of these before, but there is a first time for everything! :) In my church/movement, half day water fasts are common, typically Sunday mornings. Consider doing some of these half fasts to continue training the body. For longer fasts, cut out heavy meals (red meat especially), caffeine and sugar as much as possible a day or two before. I wouldn't work out, your body will also be healing itself (biologically that is what happens when you fast), but spend that time in prayer instead, continually building the amount of continuous prayer, letting the Spirit lead the prayer. I've done up to 2 days, but it's challenging for me to go beyond at the moment because of my work and health, it may be easier for you however :)
    Also... and I really don't want to be this person... but please don't show yourself shirtless again. You are in very good shape and I commend you on your physique, I know it takes a lot of work, but some women struggle with lust too. A year and a half ago, I would've probably skipped that whole section or closed the video....
    But thanks again for sharing your journey & encouraging others

    Jk 😁. Great video, it's like the 6th time over the last few weeks that the topic of fasting has been brought to my attention, it must be time to start fasting.

    Love you bro but i think this is Matthew 6:16-18. You should have fasted and then released a video about your experience. Just my two cents though!

      The idea is to add a full day every other month. Eventually building up to a full week water fast. The point of the video is to show a starting point for those looking to start fasting so it doesn’t seem like an overwhelming venture.

      For me, I fast for two meals a month and pray before and after. It has really helped me. 😊
