Had a Mustang seat on my 2012 Heritage I bought last spring. Loved it. Now I have a 2023 Road Glide so now I will have to get another one. They are great seats.
I have the heated version w/backrest. It heats up quickly and my wife loves it. I also like the extended reach giving me more leg room. As far as minimal reduced passenger room, my wife is thin and in shape. Like my one helmet sticker says, "no fat chicks".
I just got my Ultra Limited and day 1 ordered the same seat. The backrest is arriving soon and eventually I'll replace the passenger backrest. I went with the gun metal stitching to match my bike. Just having the seat a week I'll never have anything but a Mustang from now on. BTW, next time you have it off, the little tongue in front of the seat will tuck under the tank thing and make it just a bit more cleaner install. I'm not even sure what that is for.
it DEFINITELY does not lower you. It RAISES you a bit. How do I know? I now see clearly over my windscreen, where before the top of the windscreen sat right at eye level. This is not a complaint at all. SO MUCH BETTER than the stock and Tallboy by HD.
We tried a standard Mustang seat and the Mrs likes the stock seat better as well. You can definitely tell Mustang uses a high-quality foam in the seat. For me, I didn't care for the standard. Felt like it raised me slightly, which I didn't care for. Great review
@CodyMcDonald89 never really got sore frome it, and our longest day so far is 800 miles. Everyone is different, but I would buy it again. Best seat I've ever rode on.
I am 6.5 and it's so wide it makes my hips hurt after riding causing hip problems I went to a 12 wide seat no more problems great for Highway use long trips
I've tested a few others but mustang is the most comfortable and durable for us. We have no affiliation and paid full price and would do it again. Lol. Thanks for watching
No not even close to touching. They do make it a little stiffer to latch and un latch the lids till it gets broke in. It will feel tight at first but will loosen up. Seat is fine though. Thanks for watching.
Does that passenger backrest pad attach to any tour pack or do you need a certain one? I’m looking to get a Road King and put a tour pack on for when the wife or kids go for a ride. Thanks. New subscriber, keep em coming! Great video.
It does attach to the tour pack lid with 3 bolts. I think earlier and later models are different. 13 and 14 are where it splits I think. I'm not sure about after mkt. You would have to call mustang. Hope it was some help. Thanks for watching.

That's wierd I sat lower at my windscreen. Probably 1 inch.

I believe so. I was definitely farther from my bars and sat lower so it must be.

Do you think a 5 10 rider with a 32 in inseam would be happy with this seat or do you think it set to far back and not be able to flat foot ?
It lowers you also. So as long as you can reach your handle bars easily I wouldn't worry about touching the ground that part will be easier.

It fits on a chopped or king tour pack I went crazy trying to figure out if it would fit. A chopped tour pack
