      Hi, thank you for watching. Yes, it's like any other airport. There are signs all over the place. There were no issues relating to covid delays, everything operating as normal. It happens to be very large, so give yourself plenty of time for transfers. Safe travels.

    I'm curious about the transfer process. If you have a moment, did you have to go through security or customs as part of your transfer, or was it straight from one gate to another?

    • @TravelKnowHau

      Hi, yes it was all straight forward from one gate to another. As I was flying with the one airline. But it was a very long walk from one side to the other. Don't underestimate the time between transfers.

    Is it possible to make a connecting flight in 1 hour 40 minutes at Doha? I am taking a trip in August and my return flight has a 1 hour 40 minute layover connection in Doha.

    • @TravelKnowHau
      @TravelKnowHau  3 года назад

      Hi, as long as you know that boarding time is 1 hour before departure indicated on flight ticket. You'll have less than 40 mins to figure out where you are and hope that your connection isn't on the other side of the airport. You will need to move very quickly. Safe travels

    Hello! If you don’t mind I was just wondering If the Australian government said on the exemption form “closed-exempt” does that mean I am allowed to leave? Also if it is accepted how would I show it at the airport, would I have to print it out?

      Hi, yes it means you are clear to go. You should of also received an email to confirm this. Print it out and take it with you to the airport. This will save time as security will ask questions everywhere. They will also be making calls to home affairs to double check. Safe travels

    Hi! Thank you for sharing this! I am thinking to get tickets and have connection stop at Doha. The time between the two flights is just 1 hour and 15 minutes though. In your experience, with Covid and security check time, and possibility for delays, is it possible to still make it in such a short period of time?

    • @TravelKnowHau
      @TravelKnowHau  3 года назад +1

      Hi, I hope that you are aware that boarding time is generally 1 hour before the flight time shown on the ticket? It's not advisable to have such a short layover. The flight taking you to Doha might be good and bring you there on time. But some flights could also be a little late depending on weather conditions on the day. Also the airport is extremely large. You'll need to run from one side to the other depending on your arrival and departure gates. All the best and safe travels.

Or notice other travelers sleeping?

    • @TravelKnowHau

      Yes. Doha seemed to be in operation as normal. Plenty of people were just sitting around. Just check up on their website for any new rules for social distance or permitted length of stay at the terminal. Keep us posted on how things go. Safe travels.

What reason did you provide? are you an australian citizen?? where are you headed to? Also- is DOHA (Qatar) a flight path that doesn't require any Quarantine?? AND any other tips you have for travel ban exemptions and flight paths :)) thank you !!!

    • @TravelKnowHau
      @TravelKnowHau  3 года назад +1

      Hi thanks for watching. First off, yes. I am an Australian citizen. I applied for an exemption via Australian Government Department of Home Affairs website. As long as you fill out all the necessary information and can show that you are going for longer than 3 months. Also have the ability to pay for yourself including quarantine on returning. Remember you can reapply as many times as you like. If you get no. It just means you are lacking some documents. I'm heading to Europe. You'll need to check which countries will allow folks to transit via Doha. As Germany at the time still required folks to self isolat for 14 days. Once in Europe you'll need to check which countries you can go from there as Every week the rules changes on which one will allow others to come and go. With or without further quarantine. Many European countries are currently going through another covid outbreak. The UK government website list some up to date safe travel corridors countries. In saying that you'll need to check each government's website for for its own rules. Good luck and safe travel.

      That's a lot of jumping through countries. It's best to call the airlines to check if they are OK with transit. Every country has new rules changing every week. Being vaccinated against covid might make things easier too. Safe travels
