I used to feel demotivated working 9.5 hours job and. Here they are proposing 14 hours job. O God if we can work like that then public sector should do the same. So that there is less people apply for public as well.

8 hour per day is productive. Anything more than that is disaster
this 12 hrs are target for ITIS people and not IT.. for IT 6 hrs is more than enough to get the job done for the day. But ITIS works around the clock as they mostly provide 24/7 service. 12hrs will reduce 3 shifts to 2. so companies can get profit, this is for money and not for productivity.

Don't bring us in between the Government and the private sector. We studied for 10-12 hrs and have a strong luck for 5-6 years then only we got the job. We won't work after 5 PM whatever happens. It's your problem deal by yourself.

Not everyone can be as materialistic as murthy. Different personalities will work in IT some are sensible some not. Unnecessary stress will increase toxicity and there are many cases In india even I've seen in my institute a fellow became mentally disabled due to office stress and many died of suicide too.
Take it to court as this is inhuman,impractical, partial because no other department does it. More over they are human,not machine .They need to care for own body,take care of family,need to go to market, bank, hospital,do excersise etc.

Let's think practically if we are to actually work 14 hours everyday - Work 14 hrs, Commute - 1.5 hrs, Household chores - 2 Hrs. Eating and grooming 1.5 hrs. Just these basic tasks will leave us with only 5 hours remaining in a day. When would one sleep, connect with friends and family, invest in self like gym or studies? Or are we saying that life is only on weekends?

But the employees who enjoy saturday sunday as resting days are already working on those days from home. There are multiple problems in 14 hours working:
1. It will be a loss of employment for one shift.
2. Work life balance will not be there so people may try to move out to other cities or foreign countries.
3. Students will think twice before take an admission into engineering colleges.
4. If employees spend their life in office and traffic then when they’ll buy something? means local economy will fall.
5. After 14 hours in office and 2 hours in traffic there will not be any exercise or rest time, so it’ll create serious health and temperament issues.
