@@Nallenbot once she will be studied, she is not SUPER strong, but she has clear strengths. She also has a lot of weaknesses, so in the end the character feels pretty solid but balanced. We'll see on the long term

It's because Lidia was face down on oki. If you press up to stand, you can do either of your while standing kicks. Only from face down though.

Hearing all these things about spamming FF2 and how she's boring and lame but.. It's safe on block and she gets a mixup. Its like her best move. As a Kazuya player i see this as an absolute big brain decision. (Also you can just sidestep)

Nah tbh her frames are pretty bad, you can jab her out of every stance and the one option that might beat jab is pretty mid. I agree that she makes you scared when she goes into stance but there isn't really anything threatening that you can't block or jab her out of
@@cybersteel8 I ve seen many high Rank fights against Lydia and I ve barely if any, seen anyone jabbing her out of a stance after they blocked her moves that transition to a stance. I don't know. This looks like a significantly less risky, high rewarding execution compared to the likes of Jin's Zensushin. Even TheMainMan who is one of the top Kazuya players was almost helpless in this video. Almost all his options were eliminated

When I played her 2 days ago and played against another Lidia I learned that grappling works really good against her stance transition especially ff2 on block. Atleast that's what worked against me and the other player xD
Lidia just got released you can’t expect people to beat her that easily in the first 2 days of release. Give it time she will just be another mashing character to learn
Seems even Mainman needs some time to adapt to a new character. But of course she's not half as confusing as Eddy was.
She seems to be a rush down character with strong pressure that wants and needs to be in your face at all times, nasty at the wall but with no real poking or action at anywhere further than close range, her main tool to close the gap being ff2. Her forced stance transitions also (should) make her predictable enough to spot when to interrupt her, so at extremely high levels she would have to rely on fundamentals first like her jab. I think the best way to counter her is to keep her away with long mids, exploiting her transitions to cheap away at her and land big launches and counter hits when she gets careless.

@@Doublejho risk eating a hell sweep and losing 34-48 damage...or eating a WS2 which can lead up to at least 90. 1+2 which puts you on the ground again and here we go again. Or delayed hopkick...or ff2 which HE into another 50-50. Or DF1,2 which HE and puts you in yet another.....you get the point. Risking Getting hit by a mid from kazuya is far worse then getting HellSweeped. He is a walking 50-50 which is not even a true 50-50. More like 25-75 lmao. I am glad they buffed him, but sheeesh man. Especially that 1+4 in heat being almost as brain-dead as Yoshi's flash.

@@Doublejho correct. And players weigh their choices and blocking a mid and eating a low is less riskier than blocking low and eating a mid. But his HS keeps putting you in a hard knockdown, so you're constantly making that decision.

Mixture of the wall burst damage scaling and her not having any of her installs which increases her damage. She doesn't do nearly as much without the install.

Thats a stupid argument considering a competent player probably wont use it on an opponent that late into the match. Additionally if the said competent player were to do it against an opponent with rage its also something you would be watching out for.
But lets say our main character, the Lidia player, regrettably falls for the rage art. The opponent could pretty much only do it once until it gets predictable and guarantees death.
You cant compare a baby stance like Heaven's Wrath to Heaven and Earth.
On block Lidia gets a Polish power or whatever that install is
Can get a 50/50 with an unseeable unblockable which deals a million damage, a normal hit launcher on anyone who tries to block it (which is a power crush and only -11 on block)
Or a hard wall-stun mid with a lot of chip damage which leaves you at +6!!!!
The rage art example is so one dimensional and situational. There is no downside to this as you could choose to not press anything (like you can in a non stance forcing heat smash) except now you get 3 super powered moves and an install charge. Theres a reason this stance costs half your heat bar and then getting it on block on your heat smash is extremely generous.
Im not saying a rage art isnt good counterplay as a last resort, but it does not excuse how good this heat smash is on block.

Why you crying about your dumb move, Reina has plenty of good moves but you want to be so extra carried, you don’t want to use your brain or having to be actual good at tekken. That character is still oppressive without that move.
