With the videos could you add some engine telemetry in, like rpm gauge, boost, ignition timing, maf and what ever you think would be good to add to the watching experience, the only one not to add is a Speedo 😂
Pause at 2:41, the stick to the left is for 4 wheel low and high range, all the way to the front is 2 wheel drive, 1 notch back is 4 high, then if you press down and back it goes into 4 wheel low which you were testing it on, your not supposed to go over 40 with 4 low or it will go kaboom 🤣 that’s why you feel that the gears are very short.

Even when stock that car pumps out a lot of fuel because of its gear ratios. The rpm tends to stay high on the fifth gear on freeways resulting in high consumption of fuel.
Wasn't that the one that absolutely minced the porshe on the grand tour?

I have standard long 3.0d patrol,it has also 5 speed trans.,and all gears are very short. But,you can tow 10ton truck with it..or 4 ton tractor with blocked rear wheels 😁😁 done it.
The difference, is rpm engine.

Standard, Tb48 with re5 auto
The car is a beast , basically similar design of the rb26 but big siz. But missing the sixth gear ⚙️ which too bad for a high pressured engine naturally aspirated

Justa little back ground on whats what. The Grand tours nissan was based on a GTR, it has its full drive train. This one has a tb4.8 which might have been bored to a 5.2 liter stroke and to the guy asking in the comments if it has a stock trans no, the most the stock trans can handle is around 450/500 whp after that it starts bending this is a fully built trans. :D

It can't be imported due to safety reason
You can import the older model which is the y60 and it should be a 1995 at least to go through US classic car law

Something is really wrong with the gearbox. Either you are driving on 4L or the gearbox is stuck and offtune..moded patrols are usually manual...this auto cannot handle over 400 hp unless modified

That was really low boost like it had to be 5 psi only
I'd like to support your channel, but only if you did some prior research before filming...3 minutes spent trying to work out it's a 5-speed and continual, ''my friend, can't name him'' repeated constantly.... just type in turbo patrol and it'll show you all the dubai owners and their rigs...
A quick fix, remove 5 speed and replace with 8hp70
That is not 1200 hp because it is automatic not manual

You were driving in low range 4wd. Not good
Short ratio diffs 👎👎 and very low horsepower for the set up should be at least 500hp more and you should not drive it with 2wd with such low gears

That is not a super safari from inside
Super safari coupes (hard tops) don’t come with leather inside but tan cloth also the coupes don’t come with a rear wing
Used for sand dunes that's about it
It doesn’t pull like a thousand horse power vehicle it’s sound like it’s stuck into a low gear👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽
it was on low 4 wheel drive that's why let him put it to high 4 wheel and see the power ;)
