Another great video as usual. I like the way you stress & show how other sonar views besides livescope are so usefull & needed in crappie fishing. You convinced me just how important side imaging was when i started watching your videos. Keep up the good work.
Thoughts on staying on a marker buoy with no trolling motor. I can use the anchor but again very hard to get on an exact spot then you got the noise of the anchor, I ease it in the water to minimize the noise but still chain makes noise no matter what.
I recently had to did this with a boat I borrowed. I had to keep the tiller mount running and constantly back up wind to stay on the buoy marker. If you have an anchor, that will work too
On Garmin touch screen units, you can pinch the screen to zoom in and out like a smartphone screen. Otherwise, there is a zoom function under settings that allows to box to show up.
If you drop the buoy directly over the target, how do you keep from get tangled up with your line especially if there is a little wind current? Thanks for the screen shots too!
There are of a lot of brush piles on the lake that I fish. Can you help me get started finding and fishing brush piles? I have a Helix 10 to on my console and going to put a 7 or 8 on my trolling motor.
Great video! I need your advice on my units. I just bought a Garmin 1022 and live scope. I am having a hard time trying to decide which fish finder to get. Do I get a Garmin 1042SV so they can talk to each other or do I get the Helix 10 for good side imagin? Having both units talking to each other a major deal breaker or not?
Be able to share waypoints between the units is really nice. The 1042XSV does not have mega Side imaging, it only uses 455/800khz. Just wanted to make sure your aware of that. Another option that's about the same price as the 1042 is the 943xsv. It will connect to your 1022 and has mega imaging. If price isn't an issue, I'd recommend the 8610xsv, it has a full HD screen which is the clearest image you can get with garmin
@@FloppingCrappie I have been back and forth with this for awhile and I really appreciate your advice. I'm glad you mentioned the 1042 did not communicate with it. I will definitely need do a little more research before making a decision. Thank you!
I like the othered love your vids. My question is, why are your videos seem to be getting less and less? You know we love you and you give so much information even if you are from Wisconsin.
ruclips.net/video/8Q1YpiwYsgU/видео.html Davis, good day bud. Quick question; this Paul guy sets his scroll speed to 10 when looking for brush? I set mine to 2 as I am trolling at 1 mph. What's your thoughts on this? I feel with it being set high like that, the brush pile and fish will be 10 ft away once I see it. Scroll speed has always been a tricky one for me. Thanks.
It’s time for channel merchandise Davis. I’d buy a shirt lol! Thanks for another great video
Working on the merch, hopefully soon
Me too

Great video brother!
Awesome video on river fishing crappie.
Enjoy the video thank you
Very well explained. Your video production is amazing. I wish I could get a drone LOL makes those shots look awesome
What brand of braid are you using and I fish in clear water, Lewis Smith lake
Hercules 8 strand braid. Found it on Amazon. it's not the most expensive, but for crappie fishing it works

Akways worth watching
Thanks
Great video!
nice video i seen you have a different fish finder which one is it?
I used to have a garmin echomap 93sv UHD
How do you add the zoom box on side imaging?

I left it out of the video, but I did get my jig tangled in the buoy line. If this happens you have to reset the buoy in top of the brush pile.

What transducer do you run? I'm wanting to get sidevu on my console but trying to decide between the gt56 or gt54
Another awesomely informative video! Good job not having livescope pulled up for the haters 😉🤣

I ment to say 1042xsv did not have side imaging. I know side imaging a must for me.
@@rodericknelson8371 the 1042 will communicate with the 1022, but it doesn't use mega imaging.
@@FloppingCrappie Yes, gotcha so you would get the Garmin 8610 over the Helix 10?. I may have to save a few more chips and look at the 8610.
Yeet, great video
