If its okay for Charlie Wilson to do Gap Band songs during his solo performances then its okay for Ronnie Wilson and the other members to do their songs as well. All the hits Ronnie wrote for the band and he shouldn't be able to perform his own songs?? LOL Yea right! All of these guys with the exception of the lead singer (MAX C) were members of the Gap Band and have toured with them extensively, not to mention wrote/co wrote some of the major songs. All the real GAP BAND fans know EXACTLY who these guys are. If you don't know who Raymond Calhoun, Roman Johnson, Jimi Macon, Oliver Scott, Fred Jenkins etc..Then you don't the GAP BAND.. Period.. The Gap Band went back out on tour in 2016 under the leadership of Ronnie Wilson (founder of Gap Band), but Ronnie passed away in Nov. 2021. Ronnie’s widow, Linda Wilson, is now the Executor over the Ronnie Wilson Estate, and owns 50% of the Gap Band Trademark, along with Ronnie’s three sons, Andre, Brian, and Casey Wilson. The Gap Band X, is out now, without the consent of the Estate. They are actually ex members of the original Gap Band, and are in violation, along with disrespecting the wishes of the Three original brothers, Ronnie, Charlie (Uncle Charlie) and Robert Lynn Wilson. RIP Jimi Macon, lead guitar 🎸 and Anthony Walker,(Baby Gap).

This is not the Gap Band I know but some cover band that Ronnie who is also a so called preacher is stealing from what his brothers built and trying to use the Gap Band name for his own personal greed. Where is Charlie Wilson the true lead singer of the Gap Band? Where is Robert Wilson the true and original bass player of the Gap Band? That is the Gap Band I know and listened to. Ronnie Wilson is the type of evil that would also sue his own brother to gain on that greed when from what I read Charlie was trying to protect the integrity of what he built and didn't even want or need money but just wanted to save the Gap Band but Ronnie no talent try to take the easy route and trick people by saying HE IS THE GAP BAND and just stand around on stage and let these people destroy what we know as the real Gap Band and steal and put money in his pocket with these other people. This video is proof enough how ridiculous this is. I am sure true Gap Band fans will start to speak up.
+Ashley Smith Robert Wilson passed away in Aug 2010. Not sure why Charlie didn't perform. I thought I saw a picture of him behind Hilary Clinton in the Nevada Democratic Convention over this same weekend. I don't know the deep history behind the personal conflicts between the brothers, so I can't speak to that. The lead singer in this video is from Helsinki Finland. I forgot his name.
+Salomino Jr From what I gathered Ronnie basically decided to screw and sue his own brother Charlie because he "says" he is the founder of the Gap Band (which really doesn't mean squat anyways when it comes to this kind of dispute) and ignores the fact his brothers especially Charlie were a major influence in building what the world knows as the Gap Band helping to achieve the group to the success and now tried to steal that success that Charlie helped build. Ronnie wants to keep that success for himself and discredits and ignores his brothers contributions. It is a real true sign of greed and evil especially when it is from blood to his own brothers. Your info is off! Ronnie and Robert started the gap band years before Charlie which each letter stands for a street they grew up on in Oklahoma. Robert Died a few years ago. Charlie did not want to bring the Gap band back because he says "It's all of us or none of us, and one of us is dead". Charlie don't want to do it because of the death of his brother Robert.
