These kids are one of the best things to happen to Rock & Roll in decades!! Another truly inspiring breath of fresh air is the Warning!! I'm glad you mentioned them, they along with Liliac are the absolute shining stars of music!!!
Go to their youtube channel she has been singing like that since like 11. She is a powerhouse, but Samuel the lead guitarist has amazing vocals as well.
Will they ever come and play Nashville? I hope so; they are absolutely amazing. Would make a huge splash as an opening act for Journey, Bon Jovi, Areosmith, etc.. Think of the exposure.
Phenomenal bass playing!!! And her voice is unbelievable Both guitars are wicked good and the drumming is pure rock!!! Awesome rhythm section!!!! Dude on keys is fillin it out well!!!
Just saw this band last night in Fort Worth, TX and they were amazing. It was an incredible feeling being able to see live music again after a year of lockdowns. The set list was a real crowd pleaser. They performed their original music plus some Ozzy, Dio, and Metallica. It was a night I’ll never forget.
Their father's holler out of pride at the beginning gave me chills because you know, just know that he is proud as hell at that moment like never before.
2 of my favorite bands in the last 4 years are The Warning and Liliac both groups are very talented young musicians . I would love to see both of them live soon . I am a Patreon for both of these groups. The Main stream music biz sucks right now. Its all manufactured autotuned crap. Both the warning and Liliac are old school hard rock.
Dude! Your so right-on about the need for playing live. Back in the 60's and 70's we saw a lot of music on TV. I'm also grateful for the diversity of AM radio at the time.
Ronnie James Dio had IMO the most powerful voice in heavy metal--and this girl can actually hold her own on this Dio song. Impressive. Family bands are always gimmicky, but this family band have serious talent and play as a tight unit.
Once again you are spot on! Liliac is from the Los Angeles area as am I. I’ve seen them perform live one warm sunny day on the Santa Monica pier at Santa Monica beach in California. I couldn’t believe they were actually there playing. I can tell you this for sure....they are a tight hard rock band that performs best live. And, to talk with them in person they are funny, friendly and gracious as can be and truly appreciate their fans.
Hey, Wings of Pegasus, we've traded comments before on RUclips. I can't believe I just discovered Liliac today. I did a little research and discovered they spent years basically busking on the Santa Monica Pier. Dangit, who knew? I used to hang out at the Santa Monica Pier listening to music at Santa Monica's Thursday night Summer Twilight Concert Series 30-34 years ago! CAN THESE KIDS ROCK, OR WHAT??
I don’t know what this is about. but I will say one thing that Liliac is known even in Russia. This is a quality cover, this is quality rock. American rock culture is unique and very much appreciated in Russia. This is power !! This is drive and professionalism !!
Been following these kids for a while now. They absolutely Kick ASS. Melody the singer has a freaking killer voice. Just love to hear her sing. Their song "Chain of Thorns" is amazing. Love that song. These kids are a absolute "Breath of fresh air". The rock world needs "LILIAC". They are the real deal.
I have recently discovered Liliac!! I absolutely love them!! Very talented Family! I'm totally into their tunes! Thank you, Fil!! For another great Analysis!! Peace!!✌☮🤘🎶🎵🎼
love this band and family. I recently saw them on tour at a little out of the way place and felt like I was at a stadium concert. They rock! See them if you can its worth it
Very cool Fil I've got two son's myself . One 25 , and his step brother 35 . My youngest a guitar player like me,and my older a speedmetal drummer" not always w/ speed . We have a blast jamming. It's been an awesome part of our lives and great connection for us as a family. As matter of fact it's kept us all out of trouble more than once. I know a lot of you out there have kid's that are pounding away" and it can get rough" ,my hat is off to you " if you jam or not" for supporting kids music. There's nothing better than that proud look on a kid's face after showing you what they've learned! Hat's off to you to Fil . Yer The Man. ROCK 🤘
Great job as always Phil. I've been following these kids for a couple of years now as I live in their area and they are really a great family and dedicated to improving their talents. Rock on and Rock hard!
I'm really glad to see you react to Liliac. I love these kids, I was watching their shows on the Santa Monica Pier the past couple years. These kids really deserve to be out there for all to see and hear.
I just found Liliac this weekend and I've watched every video of theirs. Absolutely amazing! Bringing back Rock n roll. They are spectacular musicians amazing guitar and drums and singing wow!! New fan here!
i Have been keeping up with this band ,i am a fan ,Melody;s voice blows me away ,i love that Grit in her voice ,so much talent at this age can you imagine in just a few years ,love Melody singing heaven and hell ,she said Dio is the one she adores and loves him,so much talent ,so glad you posted this future greatness of a band ,i am going watch for them.
Fil, you are so right when you talk about listening to music live. It is such a fantastic experience to see the artist perform...something you will never forget!!! A very talented group at such a young age.
I never heard of them until I went on the Kiss Kruise where they were one of the other bands invited.. they blew me and my family away! I think they were one of the best bands on the ship! Instant Fan!
I watched them cover other songs and not being a musician, I wondered if it was real. The lead singer doing Enter Sandman I couldn't believe it. So thanks Fil, and good on Liliac!
You can find lots of Liliac on youtube playing live shows on a pier in California, doing cover music videos in a studio, and even rehearsal videos where they are working out an arrangement.
Liliac and The Warning were at NAMM in Anaheim California this past January. I’m surprised they didn’t run into each other. 😁 Liliac actually performed at NAMM. 🤘🏼
They actually did! But before the NAMM show, at a cookout hosted by a big TW fan in Claremont at his home. And Liliac was supposed to have come to the Whisky show but for whatever reason, scheduling didn't allow it. They are big fans of TW and vice versa. It's pretty cool to see the grass roots bands lifting each other up.
There were a pic from NAMM with The Warning together with two of the girls from Good Boy Daisy. Thats another youngster rock band, formed and lead by the twin sisters Hallie and Dylinn. Networking backstage are an very importent part if you wanna make it in music business. 👍
@@westmus Was that this most recent NAMM show or the year before? I know the ladies had other stuff going on and don't remember them making it down to Anaheim this year. Hadn't heard of Good Boy Daisy so I'll have to check them out, thanks!
@Mikie E That's got to be one of the most stupid comments ever. Rock is for everyone and by everyone, no matter the gender. These young femail bands like Liliac, The Warning, VOB etc are pulling in fans from all over the world.
@Mikie E right, because no male rock groups suck. Just come out and say you hate women because that's what it sounds like. Or maybe you just don't like female musicians that have more talent than you. Bands either have talent or not, their genitalia has nothing to do with it.
im glad your profiling this family of talent ive seen vids and they are great and your platform will help propel them further your a fair man and gave a great review thank you sir
I am very pleased to have come across this review of yours, good sir. That's because I trust and respect your judgement and for a while I have thought that Liliac, especially Melody, are something quite special in this day and age, so it is good to hear your point of view.
Exciting band that I have been watching on RUclips for the last 5-6 months. This was a real watered down performance because of the show. They do have a full length video doing this song as a video and also performing live on the Santa Monica Pier on their channel. They also do awesome versions The Trooper and Enter Sandman on the pier. Talented young band deserving of widespread attention. Thanks for promoting them and the channels of the bands.
No problem! I'm pretty sure on the pier it's pre-recorded audio placed on the video, it's why I wanted to do a live video to save the 'this is pre-recorded' comments!
Thank you for your analysis of this young and upcoming family rock band. Ive been a follower and member of the Liliac Fan Page on Facebook since before their performance on the World's Best and in answer to your question, many of the viewers of the show became instant fans. Rock on and Rock Hard! These siblings are the future of rock!
me and my son fell in love with them, we bought their albums Chain Of Thorns and Covers Vol 2. Both are TIGHT and rock solid. They are a magnificent find. And Liliac and LoveBites (bought all 3 of their albums as well) are my 2 best finds in the last 10 years...my metal bones are SOOO happy lately.
I love your reaction when you see the dad cheer.. and I love how you analysed his pitch being in tune.. then going back I realise why you smiled so much.. pretty awesome..
Amazing kids I have been following them since they were very young and a lot of people don't know but the dad was a singer as well and was very good and he passed the torch to his children . .
@@johnnymurray5383 I guess everyone has a right to their point of view. Personally I wish the silly animosity between fans didn’t exist, but it is what it is. I’m a massive fan of The Warning and I always will be, but I wish Liliac well. There’s room in music for everyone.
I came of age in the 1970's. In the 70's there was a ton of variety shows where the bands lip synched to their recordings. The one stand out was Burt Sugarman's Midnight Special. These were recorded live mini concerts. It could be good or not good depending on the group. Having seen at least 50 concerts in my life I have noticed that there are only a handful that are better in concert than they are in studio. Examples would be Heart, Pat Benatar and BTO. Most groups are exactly like what they sound like in studio, but a few sucked in concert. The very great Led Zeppelin could not replicate in concert what they did in studio. Phil is right that today's generation is being robbed of the true live music experience. However, there are a few standouts today, that even with click tracks, backing audio, and other tricks the live band is better in concert than in studio. Two examples are Nightwish and Babymetal. Floor Jansen of Nightwish is a world class vocalist and in concert she just amazes with her abilities. Tuomas, who plays keyboards and writes the band's music has all this backing audio puts together this amazing sound that when you tie it all together the total is better than the sum of the parts. Babymetal develops a synergy between themselves and the audience. The girls that sing and dance at the same time have been performing in public since they were 10. Even when things go wrong on stage, it is hard to find it because these polished but very young professionals just quickly recover. They might miss a note or a step, but a second later they recover and go on as if nothing happened. As far as the TV shows not giving the groups their due because of all this other crap going on, well, that's been going on since the late 1950's. There does need to be another show like the midnight special. If you're seriously into country you can watch Austin City Limits, but that is yawn city for me.
Love this band of young upstarts! Relentless hard working band with seriously talented parts that meld together beautifully. Obviously Samuel (guitar) and Melody (vocals/bass) stand out but I'm glad to hear you mention how tight they are, which speaks to the talent they have throughout the band. Between The Warning, Liliac and Motion Device, the future of rock n' roll is looking brighter and brighter! Thanks for another great reaction chock full of info and analysis Fil! \m/
@@pennsyltuckyden9823 I didn't include them since they've already "hit it big" and been accepted into the "mainstream" music scene. Plus, Fil has an entire video on them as well. I was just citing some other very young bands who hopefully will catch fire in the next year or so, whatever that means in today's music industry. Cheers! :-)
Totally agree with you, it' not too long ago there was no future for rock n roll, but now with these new young bands getting recognition on youtube and other social media, bypassing conventional record labels and management, there is good reason to be hopeful.
You nailed it big time. Exactly what I thought when it was aired live watching the band. The thing about them is that they put so much energy into the looks & movement. They just need time & perfection and tighter then after signing a big contract then do whatever they want. They’ve got the potential but need time. Yes on bringing back pure no computerized adding at all. Zero. Just the instruments and the voices. It is lost in today’s world for sure. It makes things too easy when we as the listeners and buyers of music that are old school. For me it was the 70’s & early 80’s. Then in the late 80’s & 90’s it started going down hill. Real Music played by talented artist is what I want to listen to.
Great analysis. Again, I enjoyed your technical explanation of the performance and the breakdown of each performer. If you want to get a full live performance please check out Liliac's Mars performance from Cumming, GA in 2019. One of the best live performances I have ever seen (on video).
They have gotten better and have really branched out from doing covers to their own original music. Check out their Video "Nothing" filmed in their home during the lockdown and the ballad "Sail Away" from their latest self produced album "Queen of Hearts" I'd love to see your reaction to those. This was a great review of Liliac and I love the ones you did of The Warning, both these groups give me real hope that Rock will live on and actually get better.
When I hear melody it honestly floors me...I hear lizzy hale and the lead of "In this Moment"...so powerful it's like it's two voices at the same time...you hear the sharpness of her voice but there's a background roar in her voice....
I've been following them on RUclips for about a year now when I first saw their Enter Sandman cover video. Their parents are real supportive of what their kids do and I love it! Yeah, there's been family bands before, but none that ROCK the way they do!
You are so right about live performances. I am so glad that I was a teenager in the 70s. I attended so many live performance concerts and they were awesome. Back then, one of the best concerts I attended was KISS.
I totally agree with what you are saying. I watched The Midnight Special in the '70s and really enjoyed what they put out. I wish they had stuff like on today. I don't think it will happen anytime soon.
I just ran across these kids on RUclips and immediately subscribed to their channel and on my Spotify! Her voice gives me chills and their original music is quite good! 5 Stars from me!

Wow ! I am speechless, love it. Im seeing more and more young people going back to the roots of Rock n Roll . I had this album when I was 15, im 50 now :)
Me too! I got the excellent Holy Diver in 1983 after hearing the title track on the radio show Metalshop (the only show with teeth ...!). I'm also 50, and it is great to see young people getting into this album and keeping metal alive!

Like most professional musicians are weighing in stating that it is very difficult to hear what she is singing. They appeal to such a small audience.

There does need to be another show like the midnight special. If you're seriously into country you can watch Austin City Limits, but that is yawn city for me.
That girl is Sixteen or Maybe 17 wow just found these guys
Tonight what talented kids wish them nothing but the best
Love this band of young upstarts! Relentless hard working band with seriously talented parts that meld together beautifully. Obviously Samuel (guitar) and Melody (vocals/bass) stand out but I'm glad to hear you mention how tight they are, which speaks to the talent they have throughout the band. Between The Warning, Liliac and Motion Device, the future of rock n' roll is looking brighter and brighter! Thanks for another great reaction chock full of info and analysis Fil! \m/
jbarty party Samuel plays bass from time to time also and he’s should really get better as time goes by(as if he’s not good now)
Don't forget Greta Van Fleet, another young and very talented band, with a huge following.
Holy old CRAP, I absolutely LOVE her voice! Incredible performance from all of them actually.
Ahhh Fil. This is apex raw talent. You found a REAL gem in this family group. I can't describe it I'm a family of them. Great one my friend. Rock!🤘
Liliac will becomes a legend in this world, amazing familly rock band in the world ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🖑from indonesia
I just heard of them 5 minutes ago. She's my favorite singer.... EVER
Great analysis. Again, I enjoyed your technical explanation of the performance and the breakdown of each performer. If you want to get a full live performance please check out Liliac's Mars performance from Cumming, GA in 2019. One of the best live performances I have ever seen (on video).
Thanks for featuring these awesome kids!!
Great analysis, liked your comments, balanced and honest. Liliac, rocks!
The performance on this show is just the tip of the iceberg. They are awesome to begin with, and are getting better with every performance.
Not much of a fan of talent shows, but always impressed with your evaluations. Impressed that you noticed the dad being on key.
I just ran across these kids on RUclips and immediately subscribed to their channel and on my Spotify! Her voice gives me chills and their original music is quite good! 5 Stars from me!
Thanks for directing me here Fil! 👍👍♿♿👍👍🍺🍺😎😎👍👍♿♿👍👍came here from your Marcin analysis, wow! They have a new fan!! Great fucking choice of music Fil! Awesome job!👍👍♿♿🍺🍺♿👍👍 Everyone have a great day and please be safe 😎😎👍👍👍👍
I've been subbed to their RUclips channel for over a year. They're a talented bunch of kids.
Each of these kids have real talent! Wish them all the luck! Great analysis again . New talent again. That is one of the reasons l enjoy about these videos. I come home from work or the golf course and check to see want you have been up to. Thanks again Fil!!
No problem!
I really like these kids and the fact that they play great classic rock and metal.
Rock is NOT dead!!!
Lmao 51 years old here and loving the youth getting back to Rock N Roll !!!
