Me and my brothers loved this game! There was either a bug or a cheat that gave you enough money to build a station that linked completely around the earth😅

This is in my top 3 all-time Commodore 64 games. I spent I dunno-how-many hours building a station. Very, very deep for the time. This would be a cool retro upgrade, although the craft are all different now.

This game was one of my all time faves.. In the mid 80's, I had no idea what a lot of the terminology was... budget?! I just gave my astronauts the pay I wanted.. but man, I learned so much!!! I think this was the game where I learned the words "Plate Tectonics" and "Deoxyribonucleic Acid" lol. Thanks for the vid! oooook.. back to KSP

I played this on my Apple IIc as a teenager, it was and still is one of my favorite games. KSP long before KSP ever existed. Such a great in-depth game.

Found you a bit late, but thanks for the look back. Goodness, the hours of my life I gave to this game. I think a solid 30% of my childhood was spent between this game, 'The Halley Project', and 'Red Storm Rising'. (Okay, and probably 'Project Stealth Fighter', too.) It's a shame I couldn't pick a genre. ;)

I had never heard of that game before. Thanks for covering it.

@11:18 - this is why you always have a spare EVA. I remember instances where I only had one and then had to rush to launch a rescue mission before the astronaut dies.

I would love to see more videos along these lines. I'm from the UK and my C64 experience was 95% cassette based. My friend had a 1541 and I was so jealous. But to be honest I quite like the loading times of cassette now, there were many different loaders which either played music, displayed graphics or even had a mini game you could play while the main game was loading and if you waited 5 minutes for a game to load you would invest more time in to working out how to play the game, these days we have instant loading cartridges so if you don't like a game within 10 seconds it is so easy to reset and load another but you are probably missing out on a great game. Original game boxes are 40% of the feel of the game/experience, it not only gives you the instructions on how to play but gives you the backstory and the art played a great part in awakening the imagination of a 12 year old child. My bedroom walls were covered in hundreds of game posters from computer magazines, there was not a single square inch left uncovered. Original boxed games are the best and downloaded roms just don't represent the original experience. Keep up the good work sir. I am sure the views are coming.

I have thought about a video focusing on cassette games. I have about 20 from the UK and wow what a different experience! Most of the folks in the US never got into cassette and have no idea. I started with cassette for a couple years until I could finally afford a 1541, so I have some appreciation for it. But, still, very little software was sold here that was cassette based. Some of the mini games are really neat and that aspect was completely missed here. Most people have no idea.
I really like the box art and the detail that went into those materials. While I do have ROMs, I prefer to use original media when I can. As my kids call it "the square black dvd's". ha!
      thanks!

@@thecommodoreroom4554 Love for the Commodore machines is universal. I just wish I had more money to buy earlier machines. keep up the good work.

Hello there and friendly greetings! I fondly remember this game because it was the game where I first discovered a hack inside the game that gave me infinite bucks without editing the game itself or the savegame and I became filty rich in the first or second day! LOL!

This game is a gem. KSP is great as a sim but a different gameplay experience than this. I just tried Mars Horizon and was hopeful but the mini games are horrible, this games during the launch and landing are much better.
Here’s hoping a true spiritual successor to this game emerges soon.

Where did you get this ROM of the game? All the C64 ROM's I've found for Project: Space Station are copyright 1985 HesWare rather than 1987 Advantage.
