- Harley Davidson Road Glide came in for a consultation on his audio system after getting it installed at another shop .
He felt that after all the money he spent on Great equipment the audio should sound better than it did and should have more bass . He was 100 percent correct.
The two biggest mistakes that were made on the bike .
1. No dsp
So the bike was really really loud but no control of the sound at all. The speakers where just all fighting each other and doing whatever they wanted .
2. They installed midrange 8s in the saddle bags facing the rear wheel instead of mid bass 8s .
The wiring was clean and all ofc copper so we where able to keep it .
They used a t harness 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽💪🏼
So none of the factory Harmess were cut or spliced .
We added a dsp and swapped the mid range diamond audio Neo 8s for hertz 200L mid bass 8s
We reconfigured the amplifiers to give us more power on the 8s ( 400 watts each instead of 135 watts each )
We rta tuned the bike and it sounded perfect.
Client was super pleased.
After he saw that we were able to deliver everything we promised
He took our recommendations and upgraded to a Braille lithium battery
Water was a concern for the lid speakers ( diamond audio mp694 are not weather proof because of the horn in the center ) so we swapped them for a weather proof set of hertz 690 neos to give him peace of mind in case he gets caught in the rain again.
Client was super happy with the results.
As always NVS Audio is always on point, we need that Hertz 200l in a neo!

I have gotten hooked on watching your videos. Don't have a HD or Cruiser, Ride a FJR1300. But your integrity and knowledge is outstanding and darn right refreshing. Much success to your shop and crew. Wish I could figure out how to get sound on my FJR...lol

Carlos, I'm trying to go as budget as possible looking at the Kicker Key 200.4 has built in dsp and swapping out fairing speakers with something like Skar Audio 6 1/2 with separate tweeters. Stull using the stock GTS head unit 2021 Road Glide special. What is your opinion on the kicker key 200.4? I wish I lived close by but I'm in Oregon and bringing bike down to you is not an option. The kicker key is nice but I like the Cicadia dsp amp better

Even though you won't really hear that much bass if any at hwy speeds, it'll be really nice at slower speeds for sure. MUCH better than the midrange drivers IMO as well.
Know of any adapters for a '21 HD RGL that would drop in Hertz SX165 coaxials into the lower fairings? Or would that be a moot point/require fiberglass modification to the lower? Just trying to see if I can get the sound stage more covered.
What if I just have a set of lowers and my front fairing on 21 RG should what would be my best bang for my buck there thanks again Carlos for the amazing video

So using 1/2” spacers, the diamond audio or Cerwin Vega 6 1/2’s will fit the lowers?

Hey Carlos can you answer this question for me please. I see some guys seal off the backs of lid speakers with sound deadner. Does that have a negative affect on the speaker unless it’s a sealed back speaker. What would the benefit be ?
I’ve seen some great builders do it but I don’t .
Sealing off the back of the speaker completely changes the way the speaker plays . It brings the fs of the speaker way up . If done properly it works but I’ve seen it done wrong many many times . We choose not to seal off non Sealed back speakers and we also do not run buckets on the back of our speakers . It just preference, If I need a speaker to have a sealed back I will use a sealed back speaker.

I have four 8" beyma mid-bass woofers in the bag but it's not enough BASS!! What are your thoughts on the Hertz ES 200.5 or should I go with the SV 200L?

Awesome videos Carlos and crew!! I NEED YOUR HELP.. I am picking up my new 2022 Road Glide today!! I do not want lid speakers but will be putting 4 new speakers 2 in fairing and 2 in tour pak. I saw your review on Cicada DSP amps and I am leaning toward the DSP 125.4 amp and pairing that with either DB Drive WDX6MOTO-CD or Cicada CX6.5.2 2 OHM. What are your thoughts on the amp choice and which speakers would sound best for the money. Thank you all for the great videos!!
Ive never been happy with the low end on my bike. Im about to put a new system in my 21 road glide limited. If you had a choice, would you go with the Rockford Fosgate setup, or something else?

@@NVSAUDIO got 2 800.4 on 4 prvmr500, bridged.was wanting to add some 8” in my bags for bass.my one issue is space.there’s absolutely no room on a 99 Electra glide for all these amps.don’t want to but one may end up in my bag!!
Do you know about the soundigital manufacturer warranty when buying off ebay? Not sure why I didn't buy directly from them, however I bought a defective amp an it was purchased in Dec. but I was just able to have it installed only to learn it wasn't working. So it's past ebay warranty and the seller isn't messaging me back.
