all you need is a tarp, and a flask of whisky ;-) I've been bike camping for 30 odd years, and i enjoy a nice tent, warm sleeping bag and decent sleeping matt. i find the camping solo on a bike gives you some kinda cave man primordial feeling of surviving on minimal equipment. i always pack twice what i need tho.
I use a cot instead of sleeping on a air mattress. It fits in the tour pack with my camp chair ,cooking gear, nice and lightweight. The cooler goes in the left side, dry food in right side.
I saw your two vids on the RE campout. Wish I'd only seen the beautiful peaceful edited one with music (very artistic BTW). Glad the illness was minor and you got home safely. For the Big Agnes little hiking tent, if you hate packing up camp...consider instead of the luggage on the rack, to roll everything on your tent. Sleep pad, sleep bag, pillow, sleepwear...just leave it in there deflated. Fold the tent upon it. Roll the whole thing up tightly, cinch it down on your rack over your side bags. The floor is now your waterproof "bag" Put the food, kitchen, chair and personal stuff in the side bags. You can be packed up in 5 minutes or less without fatigue and struggling to compress everything in their darned individual bags. I ride a similar size bike and over years came to that conclusion. I also like to arrive early, ride the area in the afternoon, camp the evening and then move on to another park tomorrow over 2 or 4 nights. That tent roll makes tomorrow's setup much easier. It is also great if there's rain or the site is wet. Everything sleep oriented stays dry during setup/rollup. I've even arrived at a site, dropped the roll, unrolled, and ridden off after staking my claim...to come back at dusk to unpack and erect the full camp. I doubt you could do that with the Lone Rider tents...those are really nice but for a BIG BIKE and a long stay. No need to conserve space on the highway cruisers...just a nice roomy ride.
Just did a 2 night moto-camp over Mother’s Day weekend. It poured down Friday night and Saturday early day. Stayed nice and dry in my tent. If you take care of your gear it will take care of you. Keep up the great work and putting out info that some may think is common sense. There is usually one that is to afraid to ask the question.
If you get the poles out of the tentbags of the lonerider tents you could get some compression straps and make them pack smaller. And then put the poles in one of the bags on the bike.
The best part of camping is camping the worst part is camping lmao it's a struggle and I love everything about it. I love being outdoors and just LIVIN
I have a V -Star 1300 that’s pretty low. I have to pack high as well. They need to make bigger, saddlebags, and back packs for likes. Add-ons that you can add on to any bike.
I hate setting up camp after all day of riding. That’s why I chose the hewolf tent. It sets up in seconds. I know it’s lower quality but to me it’s worth it.
Just went camping last weekend 30 hours 905 miles stayed by Shady Valley beautiful area. Hope you had a great time camping you and your husband wish. I can figure out how to send you some pictures but oneday I? Will you have a great ride and be safe
Thanks for the commentary on how to get a campsite. I learned that thirty years ago, but guess what? What I learned is no longer true! I appreciate the update. Discovered on the SE coast in the late winter this year, that government run campgrounds are usually (sometimes exclusively) reservable online- all fees can be paid through your phone. Often there aren't even pay envelopes anymore. In late January few campgrounds were open, but the open ones weren't full, so it worked out.
Great video. I needed to hear all this because I'm starting to get the each to go camping. I'm a veteran and I can stay at a military base for $5 - $10 if I camp. Showers are free. Breakfast and dinner are at the mess hall. It's like Golden Corral, and it's under $6. It's safe too because only military people can come in.😊 Would you ever consider taking your pet with you. I know you can take her on your Toy-hauler. Would you take your cat with you?
Hi Jess I have been really enjoying your channel, and because of you I am starting the process of getting my license. Its gonna take awhile but I will get there. I have to decide which bike I want its between the indian sport chief and dark horse. As I am only 5'3 in height not sure which one will suit. I know you will say sit on the bikes and I would expect they are about a year away from being at my dealer lol. Anyway as I have done some dirt bike riding , big congrats for you riding the Himalayan it is a different experience but soo cool enjoy.
Great tips Jess I'm an avid camper & can always learn l camp lots in Southern Ontario & planning to do camping south of the border Ohio seams nice as in your vids thanx Jess 🇨🇦
You got the Himalayan out and getting your gear ready. Does that mean we will be seeing a camping video soon with the Himalayan? crosses fingers hoping 🤞🤞🤞🤞
Wally World by Mohican River, just looked them up, up near Loudenville, maybe 1 1/2 hours away. I didnt check prices bet they are too pricey. Thanks for all the reviews.
For me, I always go with bike packing gear because space is limited for packing on the bike. Putting a bag on the passenger seat is a deal breaker for me. Not because of pillion, but because I don't want getting on and off the bike to become a chore. I have used a 2 man tent from REI for years. It's smaller than pretty much anything you showed, except the tiny one. It's longer than that, but not as wide. I can't remember the name, but I'm sure they make different models now anyways. Same goes with my bag and pad. Small, small, small. I gotta have room for rain gear, warm gear, gloves, clothes, bathroom bag, a few key tools (tire flats in particular), my bag with all the camera gear and at that point, I'm all out of space. No room for cooking gear, food, etc. I could stack more on the tail if I HAD to, but I don't want to. I don't get that remote when I camp. Not my thing. I usually pack by content type. Ie: clothes in one pannier, camping on the tail rack, rain gear in there as well. Right pannier is the camera case, a couple pairs of gloves (more on tail pack), water bottle, a few tools. For weight distribution, not the best as the clothes are lighter than all the stuff in the other pannier, but the exhaust is on the left side, too. IMO, it's still camping in a toy hauler, it's just not TENT camping. The key difference other than having a fridge, AC and stove of course, is you DRIVE the toy hauler and you ride when tent camping. That's my take on it anyways. Do whatcha like and enjoy.
@Sig_nified big agnes isn't cheap but neither is lone rider. Pack size is about half of the lone rider and for me that's what matters. 12lbs is nothing
Darn it, Jess, now I need to go and buy loads of more camping gear and different tent 😂 loving the content as usual - from the 🇬🇧 where rain is always an issue 😊
I'm planning on buying a motorcycle trailer I'm a single parent so it would be little easier for me. Just an idea if you could do motorcycle trailers reviews?
Great show, as always!! How do/ did you pack your Dyna? Its the only one i have & interested to see how others accomplish that. I have HD saddle bags and sissy bar.... thanks
Why are you reproofing them 🤔 they shouldn't need reproofing for at least 5 years, I camp all year. I understand if any doubt re water ingress. It's nit a criticism just asking why
actually, I have not prepped any of these tents. I have only had them less than two years. This spring has been wetter than usual so I decided to proof them for the year.
Can't believe you leave your cat at home for a week or more with same biscuits and water, YOU do not need to neglect your cat , just find a more suitable home for him. I cease to understand people that get pets and then decide not to look after them, selfish horrible people ......
You need a luggage rack on your tour pack to give you a little more storage space.
all you need is a tarp, and a flask of whisky ;-) I've been bike camping for 30 odd years, and i enjoy a nice tent, warm sleeping bag and decent sleeping matt. i find the camping solo on a bike gives you some kinda cave man primordial feeling of surviving on minimal equipment. i always pack twice what i need tho.
Some great advice Jess. Always enjoy your camping and packing videos. There’s nothing as good looking as a fully packed bike ready to go. Thanks.
Camping, glamping, reviews, motovlogs, etc. I’m in it for all the above! 🤘
I use a cot instead of sleeping on a air mattress. It fits in the tour pack with my camp chair ,cooking gear, nice and lightweight. The cooler goes in the left side, dry food in right side.
I'm so glad I watched this. I was test packing the bike today for BRO in June and I forgot to pack my ear plugs... thank you for the reminder a

You need a luggage rack on your tour pack. That’s where all my camping gear goes. Tent, sleeping bag and mat.
I want to put it on… but it makes the bike look goofy 😅
Absolutely I definitely need a koozie !
Nice options. Great video. Water proof bags are a must
Should be a big help for people wanting to moto camp.

The big tent looks like the bomb.....I still need to shop for a smaller tent to pack up on my KLR 650
I'd like to see your load out for the Himalayan. Including the weight for each bag along with the total weight
If you get the poles out of the tentbags of the lonerider tents you could get some compression straps and make them pack smaller. And then put the poles in one of the bags on the bike.
That's a great tip!
Thanks jess great video can't wait for the next one

You have a camera man, awesome content, I don't camp but your video was very informative
Wow, you have an outside bathtub? (joking) Would love to go motorcycle camping again, your vids are not only entertaining but helpful.
Thanks for all you do .
Can not wait for new videos on the Himalayan ! Thank you for sharing your ideas for camping

Yep another great and useful video from Her two wheels ! You Rock. 👍😎

Would love to see a packing video
oof michelob ultra... Also owned by Anheuser Busch. Have you tried a yeungling perhaps? Something that's not A.B.? Otherwise, great vid!
Why use a big tent? An Army poncho and bungees cords takes up very little space. A few small trees or bushes and it is set up in seconds.
Because she mentioned she wants to be comfortable... 😉
Good tips! I totally want to try moto-glamping this year. Being in my mid 40's, there is no way these bones are sleeping on the ground haha.
Great video thank you very well done thanks again cheers to ya.
Nice review keep up the good work Her Two Wheels
Very excited about the Himalayan lifestyle!
Are there any motorcycle trike garage tents?
And I love watching your videos!

Big agnes makes a moto camping tent now called the Wyoming trail best of all 3 of these in one tent.
$649 and over 12lbs.!!! Yikes!
@Sig_nified big agnes isn't cheap but neither is lone rider. Pack size is about half of the lone rider and for me that's what matters. 12lbs is nothing

What would you use to water proof soft saddlebags
Same spray. If leather, use something like mink oil
I only have one tent ☹️ need more now lol
I'm planning on buying a motorcycle trailer I'm a single parent so it would be little easier for me. Just an idea if you could do motorcycle trailers reviews?
Great show, as always!! How do/ did you pack your Dyna? Its the only one i have & interested to see how others accomplish that. I have HD saddle bags and sissy bar.... thanks
The problem I have when I pack my bike, is that things are a little too long and I can’t see out my mirrors very well. Definitely too long to pack up.
I found my tent ⛺ it is Onetigris scaena tent! Mrs Jess 🌹
Unfortunately, I've never been camping...yet, but what sense does it make to design a structure made for the outdoors that isn't water/ rain proof????
They are highly water resistant, but still susceptible to leaking during severe weather. especially around the seams.
Wait a second do you use a sleeping pad? If not I’d recommend getting one it makes a huge difference.
Yep i have many.
Pack that up then load bike in toy hauler and go camping in style 🤣🤣
What bars has hubby got on his bike, please?
Kentucky Hugggzzz Jess Jerry Paladinas riding course makes a great present.
How do you pack cases of beer and carry all the rest of what you need?
Always bring more clothes than necessary because... reasons
Buy a camp trailer pull behind your moore's idol
Do you water proof the floor
No. I use a ground tarp under the floor
Speaking of events, are you going to stubborn American again?
AMBULAMPS!!!
Why don't you get a trailer To camp in
Your garage is bigger than my house
Why are you reproofing them 🤔 they shouldn't need reproofing for at least 5 years, I camp all year.

@HerTwoWheels OK, I just wondered.

The Dyrt, ioverlander, tentrr. and Hipcamp are good phone apps to find camp sites.
