Sir, greetings from Pakistan. I am a passionate Villa fan since 1983. I am your subscriber since initial days of this wonderful channel. The top quality of the channel, use of beautiful words and fantastic sentences / references makes this channel the number one. I remain glued to your each episode for every second. Just wanted to share that yourself have an admirer all the way from Pakistan. I am really over the moon seeing the performance of Aston Villa. May God the Almighty grant you long life, sound health and complete success in all of your endeavours. Best wishes for the channel. With warm personal regards
In dreamland Pete 😊 the best 45 minutes without scoring I've seen in a long time. Thought Maatsen was incredible...keep up the good work, excellent as ever..
This feels like the early 80’s all over again,it’s a joy to behold and long may it last. A big thank you for your understanding of the game,I always appreciate what you have to say. 👍⚽️
The transformation of our club over the last 2 years has been nothing short of sensational. The owners arrived in 2018 with the plan to turn Villa into one of the best football clubs, not just in the UK, but the world. Sure every new owner makes ambitious claims, but NSWE have backed this up. There have been some ups and downs but the trajectory has been most definitely up since October 2022. Older fans can be a bit pessimistic, we have seen so many false dawns to get too carried away, but this current team, manager and owners are beginning to get us all dreaming. UTV !
What a great game. It’s happening ain’t it. Silverware looks imminent. Everything is clicking certainly at Villa Park. The expectation, the enjoyment and all things exciting is definitely felt in the air when you walk round the ground 4 hours before kick off and beyond. I can’t remember it feeling quite like this back in the early 80’s. Loving every moment of it. Brilliant show once again and thank you for bringing it to us.
Hey Pete I commented a long time ago, and I became a Villa fan as one of the many Nigerian students sent to barding school in the late 80's. I had no connection to Villa and everybody typically was in the Man U or Liverpool camp with a noticeable support of London Clubs with Arsenal edging it. Now I knew then that the support of a club says everything about you and I was inspired by the devotion of a Everton supporter I knew. I watched matches when free and there was one team that stood out to me firstly it was the name so unique, then I had to get to the players to cement my support, another uniquely named club "Crystal Palace" almost got me especially with a the exploits of a certain Ian Wright,. The swashbuckling side under Big Ron was captivating. Back to front they had characters at top they had a Striker that on his day was one of the best strikers I ever saw. Dalian Atkinson of blessed memory. He didn't constantly produce but he didn't need to I was already hooked. There was no other choice Villa it was. This team under Emery is the closest I have felt to that captivation and no fear of anybody. I suffered through many years to receive that feeling and countless Manu, Arsenal and Chelsea fans that populate my nation of birth. I now live close to you in Ontario, Canada and it has being wonderful to go on a journey with you as well. I have being to Villa Park once this summer but never being on a Game Day. Cheers Pete , keep up the great work. Without your analysis I can not truly put a game in the back window, even when we lose (hopefully Never) I can only listen to your analysis. Have a great one.
well you hit the nail on the head Pete ,without doubt we are witnessing a fantastic change going on at the club and what a ride we are on .ive promised myself to enjoy every moment of this incredible journey .as per usual fantastic delivery Pete ,utv
just throwing this out there, since I started following your channel in August 2022, we've gone from strength to strength, must be the good luck charm!! UTMV and have a whisky for me
Another terrific presentation and analysis as reflected in the appropriately complimentary comments. Oh boy how good can all this get!? Keep up the great work Pete! UTMV❤
Another fulsome, humorous and erudite broadcast. It's an incredible time to be a Villa fan and thanks for sharing your passion. 200 down and I look forward to the next double century. UTMV
Always the final word on a Villa performance and always considered and gives me things to think about I might not have thought of. Part of a great win for the Villa is reliving it with Pete. So lucky to have Unai, and great to have Pete onboard to underline it all
Great show again Pete watched on the 2nd anniversary of Professor Unai joining our fabulous club. Can’t wait till the next one hopefully after a successful Saturday. UTV.
Great report as normal. surprised you didn't mention one of the best things that happened. Kamara coming on for his first game in europe. It was great to see him, and if he gets back to his pre injury form, what an asset we will have
I got a ticket for this match Pete. I thought Villa Park was rocking & loved the moment. Amazing turnaround in 2 years so I am just going to enjoy the moment. Konsa & McGinn were great & good to see Kamara return, was hoping he may put Mings & Buendia on for the last 10 minutes but understand why not. Let’s hope we can pick it up again against Bournemouth… normally a bit slow after these games… UTV 👍🥳
Lovely shows.. always awaiting the next one..! Unfortunately I was to young too remember Villa winning the European Cup (as I was born in 1980) but watching and hearing all my life about the fantastic achievement it does sound and feel like we're heading in the right direction..! 🙏🏼🤞🏼 In the coming weeks we shall be visiting the brewery in / around Aston.. 🍻🥃🍷🍾 Got to ask one question though.. when you interview ex-footballers / managers and use the Social Club in Sutton do you come over for the day or spend time here in England..? Only I listened to the radio station the other week (BBC WM 96.4fm) and you was speaking to Daz.. you expressed you wasn't coming over anytime soon then a few week's later your interviewing Dennis Mortimer in Sutton..? Would love to meet you (and I'm sure others would too..!) and have a drink.. maybe at the brewery.. 🤔🤞🏼 UTV 🍀
I'm not going to pile on Bailey, was supprised to see him back as quick as he was after the hamstring. Either is overplaying or is still has tightness from injury. Needs to relax and he will come abck good again.
Exactly. We know what he’s capable of and we can all see that he’s trying. Can’t ask more of him, just hope he regained fitness/confidence and things start clicking again. In the meantime let’s support him
I honestly believe that we will win a trophy this year Pete. I started following villa in 1993 so I witnessed that great game against Utd when we beat them 3- 1 and then two years later we beat Leeds 3- 0 but obviously we haven't won a major trophy since but I think Unai is going to put an end to our 29 years without one by going on and winning the Champions league and maybe even the Fa Cup but honestly I believe that it's written in the stars 🌟 Villa are going all the way and Unai Emery is going to win that trophy and I just believe that we now have the squad of players to do it and the experience of last year's conference league and the disappointment of falling short in the semi final will be the reason why this team can go one step futher and finally win a trophy 🏆 you can write it down Pete. 2025 Aston Villa are champions of Europe again.. UTV 😁
Kamara and McGinn were inherited and everyone else was an Emery purchase???? What about Buendia. Martinez. Cash. Ollie. Carlos. Cash. JJ. Bailey. Konsa. Duran. Digne. etc...???
WRT bailey - he just needs to go back to basics. His passing wasnt terrible but his dribbling...oh dear lol. I think if he focuses on distribution and only goes running in simpler situations it will play him back into form.
Ezri Konsa over Mings all day! Minds is back-up now if Konsa needs a rest or game won far as I'm concerned! Mings is an own goal risk after injury; he"ll need 6 games just get his rhythm and game confidence back, and that a huge risk as every game now is huge for Villa! Days of the casual Mings own goal in Mid table obscurity are gone. I wonder if Mings can easily adapt to the new pressures of Top Table football as he's never been there before! Lost Captaincy, rightly in my opinion; out injured, and Villa have been consistently winning and improving without Mings! So I'm wondering where his place actually is now! Back up to Konsa, or sold in Summer! I still we think we should have sold him to Newcastle for £4OM when that deal was talked about few years back! We have had no FFP issues, we lost him to injury anyway, and we would still have Douglas Luiz! Villans won't like it, but I'd have sold "Massive Mistake Every Match Mings' 2 years ago! Top Arm Chair Manager me! 😂
6:21 - too many cooks do spoil the broth. Too many bosses to please by looking busy and getting overly involved in situations they dont need to. @anthonysmith6837 It was for the Bologna game! I'm a season ticket holder, where I sit,I didn't recognise any fans in two rows from me!Front two rows of the Holte were virtually empty! They had a lit of tickets unsold on the matchday! £25-£40,that's really the price everyone should have paid instead of £73-£97.Not renewing my season ticket next season! had enough of the greed.😢
@@denisfarrell164 hopefully this teaches them a lesson and they lower their prices. It should be the other way round, cheaper tickets at the start to generate demand and more expensive to get the last remains. Otherwise everyone feels robbed
@@denisfarrell164hello mate dont disagree with you about the ticket situation, the front rows remaining empty is to do with the Competitions regulations. I think they will remain empty in this competition. UTV.

Unay is a brilliant coach . It’s astonishing what he’s doing with Aston Villa .
The comment Emery made recently "I'm not here to waste time" says it all. What a manger.
