Ah, this takes me back! I had a go at Visual Basic yonks ago (1990s), and I was trying to write a music tutor program but I hit a wall. I couldn’t find a solution to how to create a tool bar for my program. You know how, when you click on a tool in something like Photoshop, but nothing happens until you move the mouse pointer over to the workspace and hold down the left mouse button? I couldn’t find a solution to that anywhere. I wanted to have the user of the program choose a Crotchet musical note from the tool bar and place it anywhere on the five lines. I eventually gave up the search. It was so frustrating. Oh well, there goes (went) another get-rich-quick-scheme up the spout ha ha.
My god she is not indian haha I am really accustomed to see that all tutorials like these are made by Indians. It was a surprise for me. Big conrats to the Indian guys for all their help. ❤️
I was sitting in computers class today and I felt like crying bc my teacher went super fast when demonstrating this and I couldn’t keep up or understand anything. This video has helped me understand the label part but we also started doing something that has got to do with “display” .... and I have no idea how to work it
Dear Bee Bee Tutorials, out of curiosity, can you tell me why we should care about VB? This is an old programming language. Today we have the internet. Does it have the capability to build the Internet based applications?
Visual basic was actually the first programming language i learned! when i was in grade 9 my business class spent a week on visual basic and it was enough to get me hooked on programming! although it's not a very practical language in 2017 (nor was it in 2013 when i first learned it) it is (in my opinion) the best language to start off with for beginners! It's graphical interface is super user friendly and because of it's age, there are tons of resources online to use. All fundamental programming concepts can be taught using Visual Basic. I've taught several hour of codes using scratch as it seems to be the go-to language to teach beginners but it honestly seems a bit childish to me. For anybody older than elementary age, I believe scratch is too simple. (Don't get me wrong, for children, Scratch is amazing!!!) I've never used VB for internet based applications, but I will look into it. If you are making an application that you know for a fact will only be used on windows devices, I see no problem using VB to do it. sorry for this long comment! Visual basic has a special place in my heart so I get a little passionate about it sometimes haha
