Experience doesn't sound like a good like quota to pay someone for in hollywood. I think it should be based on skill or how famous/ how many tickets you can sell. Experience doesn't equal skill imo. Someone could just be shit at acting and a talented younger person could be a genius at acting. If you can sell tickets, you should be getting paid more. Alot of times older actors have more experience and have had time to amass fans that suppor them and so they SHOULD be getting paid for this, but there are times when older actors with more experience just isn't as good as their more famous costars.
I think it’s a little different. Pay gap isn’t about who worked longer/harder. It’s about how people will be paid differently to do the exact same job, doesn’t matter how much someone has worked. It’s based on gender, because technically a “man” can do better than a woman, and won’t want to take leave for their family etc. when most women don’t want that.
But legth matters, this is a VP role which means the only roles left for promotion is the C-suite roles. I'm in white collar job where there are levels 1,2,3,4 etc these levels have pay ranges the higher you go the bigger the ranges I could be hired as a level 3 and get paid 20k more than another level 3 cause I'm close to a level 4 due to experience. VP roles 50k salary difference shouldn't be that big of an issue especially compared to equity and bonus times but I guess duetche bank really does suck.
What do you mean technically a man can do better than a woman? That makes no sense and I have to do solely on an individual work ethics and personal skills, which are not determined by gender. Also, paternal leave is a thing that should be granted two males, just like maternal leave and you're assuming that female workers by people are going to start a family and have a kid, which is simply not the case.
