  • The Greenprint for Milwaukee Shoreline project uses a combination of native plantings, bioswales, and permeable pavers, to help protect Lake Michigan by managing over 205,000 gallons of stormwater each time it rains. The native prairie plants provide habitat for essential pollinators, a respite for migratory birds, and beautify the grounds. The project was funded through a partnership between the War Memorial Center, Milwaukee County, Fund for Lake Michigan, the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, and MMSD.
