    It's always fascinating to watch Dudamel conduct. He is another God's gift. I want to thank God for all the beautiful music In the world. This is making full use of God-given talent to benefit the world. What an amazing talent and personality! Thank You, LORD JESUS, for Dudamel and Juan Diego Flórez. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤.......

    The breath control of the first and second clarinet players is amazing to me. I seriously love this video. I, too, keep coming back to this one again and again. It's as amazing to view as to listen to.

      Agree! The clarinet interpreters are just fantastic! Thanks for your comments! If you look at their interpretation of Mahler 8 you will see that they are used instead of their American counterparts. Ditto for some of the cellists.

    This is one of those recordings I keep coming back to again and again. Amazing to have it in better quality - thank you.

    Saludos desde Berlín.. 🎵

    Every section of the orchestra is deeply passionate, but I especially enjoyed the woodwinds here. So together. So committed! Bravo.

    Although there may be other technically superior performances than this, this is by far the most soulful performance I have ever listened to of this gigantic masterpiece. It is so captivating that I cannot but be glued to every detail and listen to the end of the last movement.

      You are correct. Especially considering the youth of every musician, includin Dudamel.

    24:00 This sounds similar to parts of the Psycho and Vertigo soundtracks. Did Shosty influence Bernard Herman?

    • @Jupiter-T
      @Jupiter-T Год назад +2

      Plausible! This premiered in 1953. Looks like the NY Philharmonic did a recording in 1954. Vertigo came out in 1958, and Psycho in 1960.

      La principal tontería es pensar que «Occidente» se reduce a la hegemonía anglosajona. Occidente también es el modelo hispanista (español e hispanoamericano), heredero a su vez del Imperio romano y la civilización grecolatina, y posteriormente de la escolástica tomista, cuya racionalidad fue la base de la ciencia moderna.

    Grande œuvre d'un immense musicien qui eut à souffrir sous Staline, aujourd'hui ils ont Poutine… Le génie russe est heureusement plus grand que ces dictateurs.
