If I alter the value of the Frame Depth turns out that one reference plane doesn't move, remains anchored, therefore, the E.Q. dimensions become two different distances. I tried moving the reference lines manually and it works, but not when I edit the frame depth numerical distance just like you have shown in the tutorial ( I also tried via the Family Types icon ). The error message: -Walls: Basic Wall: Generic-6" id#, -Reference Planes: Reference Plane: id#, -Reference Planes: Reference Plane: id# I checked the constraints by using a little icon at the bottom of the screen + I used "Visibility Graphics -Annotation Categories-Automatic Sketch Dimensions" to make sure they are correct. I have done this tutorial 2 times already, just to make sure I haven't done anything wrong, however, I cannot figure out why is this happening.
1.Thanks! 2. 16 minutes video, took me 90 min to compelte! lol.. a few things I didn't understand. everytime I did the EQ while clicking 3 guildlines I got an error that there are too many constrains! at the end I constrained some parts like the glass to the actual window frame and it worked! also had enless errors with the frame EQ - I created a 2nd reference plance for the sliders! when I used the same reference I used for the actual frame I got over contranied error again.. 3. I already modeled this - can I share it? or can you? I wish I didn't waste those 90 min doing it :) didn't feel I learned more then how much I hate modeling families in Revit! 4. can you do another with sill stone/metal edge? (the thing the window "sits on" when its not flushed with the inteiror) Thankks!
Thanks for taking time practicing this window, sure will help you to get through, you send me the file I'll go through it and check where your reference plane is being over contrains. And thanks watching
We seen that you have mistaken in reference planes, you have assigned equality constrains to the wall not to reference plane. We have sent details on mail. Thanks being regular viewer.
This program is too much drama, Architectural desktop clearly indicates where to update any part of any window and door, it so weir the Autodesk has to re invent everything so we like sheep we buy it.
Thank You!!!! Happy New Year!!!
very easy and way teaching...to the subject only thanks
how did you able to draw create the sweep path at the center when looking at top view?
you talking about him moving the sweep path to the left-right axis at 03:27?
Really appreciate your content !
Pls make more tutorial videos. And thanks you for sharing those video
Thank you Hoang Luan Nguyen. Sure we will do our best to explore this softwares, stay tuned for latest updates.
Good cls
Nice Tutorial too...
Thanks Hildevar Martins
Thank you mr.robot!
You are very welcome
Nice content ever see like this, very clear excellent
sir can you give another parametric window with grill.
Thanks for your valuable feedback, stay connected we will be posting some cool parametric families.
Can you please make video on detail working drawing & elevations in revit ? this would be helpful for me
Sure will plan for it. Thanks for watching stay tuned for latest updates.
Great video, but I have a problem... can't change frame depth
error (Constraints are not satisfied)
How I cant solve that? thanks
Check the constraints whether its locked to reference plane or wall.
@@KnowInArchitecture thanks!
Can you tell me computer features ?
(KnowInArchitecture)
Sure can you specify what kind of computer features.
@@KnowInArchitecture computer features in the video?
in graphic card?
processor?
If i know what's your profession i can tell you required specification on the basis of your work.

Nothing to worry about, the E.Q distance was referencing the wall not the RP. Thanks for sharing your videos!

Frame Depth constraint not working. Any idea?
Can you send me the screenshot so that i can guide you.
how can i import this window in my project?
There are plenty of ways to do that, one of them is, Open the family and project. Go to family and load it in project from family editor tab.
bro i can't change frame depth
error (Constraints are not satisfied)

Send me the family or screen shots of the family ill check it and get back to you. Thanks
