I think my biggest issue with duo fights like this is that the aggression level of the enemies isn’t scaled to how many you’re fighting. In previous souls game, if you were fighting a duo boss, each individual boss had lower aggression as to give the player a clear window to attack, heal, etc. With Elden Ring, it really seems like the duo bosses kept their same aggression levels, and it makes some of the duo fights very long or just straight BS.
Duo fights are easily some of my least favorite fights in this game. A lot of them just feel extremely bs and taking damage can just be outright unavoidable if the bosses happen to both swing at the right time. Some of the only fights that really frustrate me.
Got these guys on my 9th try. Best tips I gathered: banished Knight halberd +8 from Liurnia does a pretty good amount of damage. And the ash of war it comes with MELTS them. However it’s very hard to get off, so once you get one, then use it on the other. For physique I recommend health regen and stamina regen as it’s going to be a running simulator for about 10 minutes each try. Go for the mage first. Literally best strategy is run, r1, run away, wait for the slam, run, r1, run away. It takes forever but it’s a consistent strategy that can be used over and over again. Sometimes you have to wait a bit because they both attack at the same time with chain slams. So just use this strategy with some patience. Don’t be scared to run in there. It looks a LOT more intimidating that it is, it’s going to take you forever anyways so you might as well just full send it. Overall this boss fight is shit and the devs really need to either remove it or give them different aggros
The hardest part is keeping the camera where you need it while running. I'm not sure how you managed to keep it on them without locking on while running away (and locking on is bad because you lose control when they jump). I can't keep an eye on what they're doing while sprinting away without potentially running into a wall or something. They inevitably catch me with an AoE when I lose sight of them, which causes a quick death spiral. Also the fucking flames are a guaranteed kill because they just stagger you until you die
The thing that did it for me, is crystal darts. Four direct hits will cause them to glitch out and aggro on anything (including each other). It doesn't last long, and you'll want to avoid hitting them while they're focused on each other, but it works. I mostly just do it til one of them is dead, then fight the other normally.
Wish I would’ve seen this a year ago, summon a spirit, speed kill the magic one then double team the sword one. If you’re the correct level and weapon upgrade for Caelid the boss fight will be done in like 2 minutes
I went there with level 30 and it took me 6 hours to beat this guys. My tactic was always try to keep them close, first I eliminated spellcaster with my magic then I beat the other guy just with 2 rolls back then 1 strike and roll back. When he jumps on you then do 1 roll back still walk backwards slowly then attack him twice do roll back and repeat. Dont be greedy with him because for me it was 1 strike and I had to fight with them again. One more thing at the beggining of the fight let them destroy 4 columns so you can avoid their attacks easier.
I recommend people attempt this dungeon at lvl 60 the very least, anyways before you fight them use fire grease because it can be pretty helpful and summons (I used the marionettes) will let you focus on the scepter watchdog
I'm doing this lvl 60 with a basic longsword. My hits do 1/5 the damage his does, but running in circles and simply side stepping those magic things is a good tip. I should eventually win if I do that. The sorcerer's slam thing does 1/2 my health and hits me every time. Not gud enough. I've got 20k runes in there, so I'm in it to win it.
Crystal darts to cheese Or use flame negation talisman and an ash, I used Oleg to focus on the melee one and I focused complete on the magic one since it does ranged attacks, once that one died my ash died too but got the melee one down to half health I just bloodhound finesse the rest of fight till it died
Its very hard for a close melee character. try wielding something/anything that does ranged damage in your offhand. Keep running them around and pew-pew one of them to death, then bash the other
the boss is really hard solo as the bosses timings are pretty sync this boss is harder then anything in limgrave the best way to beat the boss is simply rushing jump slashes since those are much stronger then normal strikes and quick wait until the bosses have a opening you will notice times where both are on animation cooldown thats when you jump strike if you do not have any distraction tools.
You can cheese this boss fight and the one in impaler's catacombs (the one you fight with 4 imps) by hitting the watchdog with some crystal darts. It'll make the watchdog aggressive to all other enemies.
These guys spsnked my bum. The trick is to be aggressive. If you are close to them they do less slams and more spins, stabs etc. I used lightning weapon buff.

Duo fights in this game are so much harder than in any previous souls game IMO besides the odd notorious bosses

*Godskin Duo Vietnam flashbacks*
Damn true.
Better that way
"how does he kill it solo no hits?"
*hits it once for 418 dmg*
oh...

Thank you for this, I had been postphoning this fight (first time Elden Ring player, I love it so much

I think the claw grip helps with this, but for the life of me, I can't do it consistently. My hands don't like it.

How? How do you design something like this? How are these the same people who made fucking bloodborne and dark souls? I'm speechless.
NO DAMAGE? I WAS STUCK THERE FOR 2 DAYS
Same…

@@Heywhatsupmymani was not lol 😂 ended up using the crystal darts method
this was the run he got lucky and then just named it “no damage” his runes are laying there from previous attempts.

I had a lot of problems with these. For whatever reason they look like they move slower for you lol.
man that patience holy shit

Struggeled for 2 hours with those two... I don't know how I managed to beat them in the end honestly.
Almost an hour and a half on this fcking boss. The mfs wouldn't stop spamming the area attack
Cant wait to see this guy no damage high tier remembrance bosses 💀
Probably the creepiest boss I’ve seen from these videos you’ve uploaded 😂
Crystal darts to cheese

The fact that the boss can hit through the other boss

Great work 👍👍👍
Where is this
Any tips for spellusers? Can't get sht through with the long casting time and double barrage all the time.

Can you make video on halo infinite legendary walkthrough
Good shit was wondering why you werent getting too close but then the cat started spamming attacks. Game looks crazy hard glhf.
How's he dealing so much damage with one hit? I'm smacking the shit out of this thing and it's almost taking no damage.
He’s still got it
You are good!
These bosses are so creepy
