I’m studying philosophy right now in school. I’ve loved this channel for a long time; not only for displaying beauty through art, but showing the human scope of it, and I love this real time sketch because it rlly lets us into your process. Which is different than any other artists process. Art teaches us a lot about aesthetics and the appeal of (all) the arts to our souls. Amazing vid
Ahhhhhhh….now THAT was satisfying. Peter comes thru with a new real-time video, perfect on this gloomy fall day. Thank you for the quick turnaround. So amazing to see this transform over the hour.
Really thankful for this video and others of yours. But specifically for the treasure hunt video that showed up in my recommended tonight and this one. I just learned that someone close to me who knew me very well passed away about a week ago, completely unexpectedly. I really felt at a loss for what to do with myself and how to relieve the pressure of how I’m feeling given that I’m not ready to talk to any of the people I know about it and it’s pretty late at night right now. Your attitude of acceptance and positivity and the calm, quiet, simplicity of this kind of video has really helped make this all a little more tolerable. It’s been really comforting to feel a little less alone.
1972 Peter! If I could only have had you in class with me to enjoy that era as a student in Technical Illustration. Or maybe in the later '70s in a class my wife and I took on line drawing. There is a powerful sensed kinship of endeavor and peace built during the "draw." Me, my wife, my daughter... all line art doodleers. Thanks for sharing Peter! Sam Hatman
I see a bird, point of beak in lower left leading up to eyes and all this weird fermenting out of it's head. Really cool. But then, I'm going of hour 38 without sleep, so maybe I'm just seeing things. Either way, I really enjoyed watching this, Peter. Thanks for sharing this bit of yourself. I did enjoy your talking about process with this one, too. :)
Veins, roots, branches, lightning bolt... All the same shape, all things which take the path of least resistance. I'm stoned right now - and that seemed heavy af
You should make more of these you like bob Ross but in your own way you are very relatable as a artist to a artist I’ve been watching your videos since I was 18 or so sometimes I wanna draw with a friend and create art so I can influence them as much as they influenced me and again your talk isn’t cheap you got a bob ross affect
Hullo Peter, I am enjoying watching and listening to your videos. I find your drawing techniques rather enthralling and your voice over dialogue pares so well together. Thank you for sharing this drawing session with us. I know that I am wondering if you have a new book out soon? I am just as curious about your mail, I have loved watching you open mail that you receive from your viewers. Do you think you might be opening up some in the near future? Ah well it was nice hanging out with you while you drew and gave everyone that thought process as you worked. Please take care, be safe and have yourself a lovely day!
Peter, do you every use the inktober prompts? I know your style is very free. I think it would be interesting to see your work influenced by the prompts!
I caught the end when you were “nitpicking”. Just a suggestion, maybe you should try going back in with white-you could really dial in your contrast-Instead of killing it. Great work as usual!
Peter have u ever thought about using fade forward transitions instead of speeding up the drawing's playback speed? It might make for an even more relaxing viewing experience. (For the non-real-time vids)
Heya Peter? I just watched a video by Steve Mitchell(The Mind of Watercolor) where he did a dip pen and ink drawing and he worked from a color photograph that looked grey! It was a stone wall and gnarly tree, it looked like a grayscale image until I saw the top of the wall and saw green foliage peaking over the top! I just wondered if you had ever seen any of his videos? Ok back to the drawing.😬
On behalf of myself and any other requestors of real-time drawing: THANKS, MAN!!!!!
i was waiting for this for a while ~
These are genuinely my favorite

It's lovely to see what your mindset is behind what you draw, really enjoy your art 👍🏼❤️🤓

I love the real time drawing videos theyre my favorite :)
real time drawing with Peter! my absolute faaaavorite way to spend my rainy day off with pens. 🎉
From my experience, a piece reaches the point of "complete", and is found by standing back and feeling it.
Love seeing and hearing your stream of consciousness.
Thank you for sharing your flow Peter, its great pleasure to draw with you
Those bloops were very satisfying
Yay! My favorite parts are the straight edge and the triangles. Along with the thought process as you went 😊
A whole video of drawing but just peter sfx please
That was the most relatable thing😂
I am so grateful for this opportunity. It has been super helpful on so many levels.
Great to hear your composition thought process!
Bravissimo. Very beautiful work! Goood job!
It’s been so long since I’ve watched one of your videos! As satisfying as ever! Also random thought but you give off Pete the cat vibes. 😂
Your videos help me relax, thanks a lot
I remember when you used to read a book during these sessions or did you play an audio book. I'm going back a while. As ever an imaginative drawing.
I love hearing your decision making process. I'm learning some good composition tips!
wowow, my favorite format is back! ❤
Loving it
Loved this! Even I'm real-time, you make it look effortless ❤
Hast thou resigned thy self to smudgeth?!
Indeed I have
This is so relaxing. Please do more ❤

I can't stop bingeing on Peter content. Is it healthy? Is it safe? What will become of me?
Keep doing what you're doing. You'll be fine. Don't skip the dragons that come with stories, they have their own playlist ... at least they used to.
Dragons, got it, thanks!
We all have to work through this process.
Even better 😃
Veins, roots, branches, lightning bolt... All the same shape, all things which take the path of least resistance.

Awesome drawing Peter
Thank you
Oh what a lovely day!

This episode makes me miss the good old Twitch days.
RyeBread1977 reporting for duty.
_Exciting_ 😊
The Three Triangles = brilliant choice.
Peter, I have never noticed your hand muscles are huge!
Amazing work, I'd love to put some of your work in my office, but the only sizes on society6 are like 36x24... wish you made some bigger stuff!
one time years ago i made a papar mask for fun with drawing and cut it to match my face size. And its actually scary looking.
best way i can describe it is it reminds me of the smile from the titans in Attack on Titan
Also bro you got great merchandise
This is nice 👌😊

Maybe I’ll try it out!

I think that face you pointed out looks like Trundle from league of legends.
Some people are so good at geoguessr it hurts my brain
Damn your right hand thumb abductor is huge compared to your left hand. Drawing is like gym for the hands
It looks painful. I was worrying about it. I wonder if it's a type of ganglion.
I was noticing it too. Drawing muscles!
😊
First comment! Awesome!!!
Why do I feel like Dr. Rorschach is spinning in his grave after every draw???
Look at that bulbous hand muscle!!
Heyp Eter!! :)
If your light source is placed at the upper left side of the page you won't get the shadow of your hand on your drawing.
REALTIME
Alright, hello everybody, my name is 🅱️eter.
Thanks for sharing! Get used to your voice... all the best!!
peter we need another cooking video🙏🙏
artistically, bob ross has nothing on this guy. how do you just draw random objects and they make sense?
