Remember, this air kiss was something Flamme taught her. Flamme also taught her about the clothes dissolving potion. This is the same Flamme that lamented only having enough time to teach Frieren about combat magic... What other forbidden knowledge did Flamme teach Frieren?
I suspect that the more pure someone is, the more effective Frieren's seduction technique is against them. It explains why Sein wasn't phased at all, Fern and Stark were shook by how effective it was and poor Himmel, the purest soul in the entire show was knocked clean out. That and of course he was head over heels for Frieren.
Hope y’all enjoyed the reaction! I watched the dub and learnt how to pronounce Sein right, I was clooooosee ah. Anyways, loved Frierens ultimate seduction technique 😗😗
I really enjoyed your reaction to this episode of Frieren, #LindsayRoutliffe. The animation is my favorite thing about this anime series because it's absolutely top tier.
Welcome Back, glad youre back :D Glad to see that i'm not alone, reading blunt a sentence without processing what i actually read xD Stark from Eisen: Warriors can tough out Poison. Fern from Heiter: Alcohol is the best Medicine (with a serious face) Frieren from Flamme: "legendary" Seduction technique from a 1000 years
Well Fern and Stark being flabbergasted by the thrown kiss is pretty obvious. Fern for all childhood was growing up in the woods with a priest and an elf without peers and on the travel in her teenage years see hasn't related to many her age as depicted. Same for stark after running away he came under the wings of a secluded dwarf again without peers until he was in the dragon village. So they both are pure when it comes down to romance. If you take the story told so far literal. And for that them connecting is awkward since they have no role model for it.
I know I'm late to the party here since this was posted half-a-year ago, but I'm pretty sure when Frieren says she doesn't like Sein because of an "Aversion to her own kind," she's talking about the fact that Sein is a genius. It comes up more than once in the series at different times (e.g. when Lugnir was lamenting about Flamme and Frieren and he said, "One of the geniuses I despise.") In this episode, Frieren makes the initial comment about not liking Sein not long after he heals Stark and is talking to Sein's brother and she says, "He's a genius." (This likely ties into his hesitation to adventure as well... You could associated it with Fern WAAAY back in episode 2 when she's first traveling with Frieren and she's upset because they spend so long looking for the Blue Moon Weed flowers when Frieren, such a powerful mage, could be helping people... and, in Frieren's eyes, much like her, Sein is a "Genius" who could be helping people, but is wasting his life.)
Congratulations on getting the dead tree version! Trees are the ancient, and truly evil, enemy of the Dwarves, so every time you encourage one to be killed to make a book you are doing good work. For those who don't think trees are evil, why else would so many get smote by lighting each year?
Frieren failing at being sexy is just too cute. And a little sad after hearing that elves have no sexdrive. It explains a lot about how little she understands romantic love. Some scenes just get more painful rewatching them. Poor Himmel.
Manga 2 and 3 are sold out, I managed to snag the last copies in my area a few weeks ago. The first print run is at the old manga price of 9.99, I think new print run is 11.99.
Since we never actually find out his name, I've personally made a habit of referring to Sein's brother as "Feld". Sein and Feld. Ah...I'll see myself out. 😅 Glad you got to finally meet Sein! He's a good egg, especially if you overlook some of his more "corrupt" tendencies. 🚭 And this was, imo, one of the funniest episodes to date! I *cannot* wait for your reaction to 14. 😄
OH that’s amazing I love that, definitely calling him Feld from now on haha. I’m loving what Sein is adding to the group! It feels very needed with this awkward group lol
Feld - Field. It fits as a German word, and you could probably figure out a way that fits with his brother being a pillar of his small community or something like that, so a very valid name even if that aspect was unintentional.

"forbidden knowledge"🤣

I want Sein and Kraft to meet at one point: that would be INTERESTING!
That would be awesome, I feel like Kraft could really inspire Sein and I’m sure they could talk about the goddess of creation for forever!

I’m glad to be back! And yes I was not prepared for the beginning of that episode 😆
Love your reaction, Lindsey. I missed you
... I just fully realized that Sein's friend is an exception to the German word rule.

The seduction attempt killed me hahah
Worked on me! I almost passed out aaaaaahahaaaa
If only the Demon King knew how easy it is to knock Himmel the Hero out cold...
Sein has Satoru Gojo voice.
Thank you for sharing 😊

Shit not the first this time
Sein - To Be.
Awwwwww that’s kind of interesting for him wanting to be an adventurer and all

Daaaaang ok good to know! I guess I was a bit late on that 😫 at least I got some volumes
The characters' names are pronounced in German.
Have you considered the original author's intentions?
Since we never actually find out his name, I've personally made a habit of referring to Sein's brother as "Feld".
Sein and Feld.

I see what you did there.

Sukuna a few episode ago and now Gojo shows up as a priest
OMG I didn’t even notice but that’s so great I’ll be paying attention to that now
Between this episode and the last one what did else did Flamme teach Frieren 😳
Stoltz is dead, just like Himmel.
☹️☹️☹️☹️ they better see him in Aureole
@@lindsayroutliffeseems likely 😊
Sein is definitely meh the first time he got introduced, but he grew on me and now I think he's one of the best character in this season. :)
I felt the same but I’m really enjoying him a lot! He adds a lot to this group that they reaaaally need
Just pronounce the names however you like lol people can be so weird about that
Loool thank you, I do want to get it right but if I don’t I really don’t mind all that much 😂
