Also as a truck driver. You should have put a flat bed on the truck. Right now you have a fifth wheel attached. Its ment for trailers with kingpins. The trailers you're hauling use a hitch. That's why it doesnt hook up how you thought.
I have to agree with you, This truck while capable of hauling slidepin hitch trailers is more or less better off with either a flat bed or side secure cargo bed because of the hitch trailer attachment already being installed. Would have also done some suspension and AT tire upgrades considering all the washed out roads and side trails he'll eventually have to drive on. The vehicles I operate are all heavily modified like this because of my occupation (Critical Disaster/Emergency Mutual Aid response), They are either repurposed MILSPEC Oshkosh or Western Custom rigs for our EX Fleet and Oshkosh/ TRI 6X6/8x8's for our medium-large fleet though we do tun smaller versions of those as well for wildfire response and the like. We recently got EPA and FEMA clearance to run four Avtoros Shamans that have been modified domestically for disaster response but those are being sent to the gulf coast zone and lower east coast for various areas down there so I doubt I'll be piloting one of them anytime soon.
@jericho1-4 it's funny. When I started playing this game, I thought people who do this in real life are nuts.....not I drive the haul road (dalton hwy) in Alaska. Guess I'm crazy too.
I really enjoy the realism of this game. Trying to drag those metal beams around was difficult because you had no weight on your truck. It was all behind it. Grab a trailer that sits on the truck and you'll plow through some really rough stuff easily.
34:26 I like that a lot in mudrunner, when you go over the same place few times your tire tracks start becoming a path, you can basically create your own trails
@@raulchaidez2946 I did it on a map with a river you needed to cross, can't remember the name but it's a small river, not deep. I always took the same route from the dirt path on one side to the road on the other side so it created a new path
The actual handling of the trucks looks so much better in your videos than I’ve experienced on PS4. It seems to me since starting to play that every vehicle seems like it wants to slide around the place, and is really hard to control.
Also riot I recommend getting off-road tyres on the red truck as it will cause more friction in the mud for a smoother run and could make it a bit faster but up to you
@@Anubis-81 Scout trucks for towers definitely help. I didn't even realize you can get Scout tires earlier as I've been using the Khan. Not entirely sure how I got it but I started with it.
Kris if you bought the deluxe edition it comes with all the dlc and yeah scout tires unlock faster because the scout trucks are meant to get to hard to reach spots for watch towers I just got the Kahn today and I will say it’s way easier with that than the Chevy you start with until you get enough upgrades I currently have the custom v8 the scout winch the lift and 38 inch all terrains
@@harleydanforth5986 I've been using it as a scout until just today as I'm trying out the 6x6 scout. The region locks seem to be from an idea cut before release. I just retain it in Russia and bring it back to Michigan (still haven't unlocked mud tires or chained for the trucks I like most so I'm completing Michigan). I'm using the 8x8 offroad for cargo in bad areas, and and 8x8 heavy for rescue and towing. One thing I would like to know is if there is any real difference between say mud tires of the same size. You get usually 3 options but no visible difference other than price. Also duallys vs single tire
I'm so happy I stumbled onto your videos..I am ashamed to say I just started playing this last night, already" hooked" but I didn't know anything about being able to recover that truck .I went to Alaska and got stuck, and my Chevy is still in Michigan, so I haven't been able to do anything but drive around, which is awesome . Thanks mate!!
The freaky thing is; I just did a brick delivery in the same truck you are using. And pretty much the same conditions as well. I am in love with this game.
I got 10 hours played on this game and so far I got 1 task done I have flip my truck got it stuck in mud and water ran out of gas but I love it it's an awesome game😁
kentchr76 try playing it in a fun way. Switching maps frequently and doing different types of missions will make it fun. Also mod trucks and cars how you want them.
I really like this series so far, it's strangely entertaining.. I don't have any driving games and to play this game myself is not something I'd do at all.. but watching you play and talk about all these things is very relaxing! I'd love to see more =)
There are things that prevent having good roads. Harsh winters, for example. Not just the freezing causing roads to push up and break, but snow plows are hard on roads, too.
18 wheels of steel with the ice was insane I remember my first load was a pain cause I almost fell through the ice. That was a run from Michigan to Quebec I was exhausted.
like the videos. learning alot. but, having been a truck driver for aproximatly 41 years, pulling a loaded trailer with an mt truck is sooooo wrong. if the game mechanics are any good. the truck drive axles have no weight and thus little or no traction. just an educated observation. thanks
Totally love how you keep leaving obstacles in the way for future deliveries. Talking about your abandoned bridge truck and the trailer at the farm. Totally focused on the now and not the future.
I did the same thing taking that oversized trailer all the way to the muddy farm. I played for 2 days not knowing my 4WD wasn't turned on, on any of the vehicles. I was using the winch CONSTANTLY. I was literally using the winch to pull the trailers behind instead of attaching them when they got stuck in deep mud.
Nice gameplay Scott! Can you do some more exploring with the Scout 4x4s, watchtowers etc, more exploring means betters parts and vehicles. Also, put a flatbed option on a particular vehicle eg the Fleetstar as you can use the truck on its own to make deliveries rather than pulling a trailer and use your engine alongside the winch to get unstuck faster!
I am liking the series so far, but every once in a while focus on getting new trucks and exploring, take the game slow and enjoy it rather than rushing through the missions
Hello my best friend i'm always driving you and i like you video snow runner is the best mudrunner spintires the best i enjoy your video you so amazing

😂😂 never ever ever stop when going through any mudd, or snow. EVER!! when you stop you're stuck. You can still get stuck even without stopping. There is just less of a chance.
Lovely stuff, didnt watch your videos for quite a while, then I decided to see what you were up to and I saw this fits to my interests. Last videos I watched were the red dead redemption ones!
Left Bumper + B or Circle to turn on headlights.
Turn 4wd off when you're driving on paved roads to save more fuel👌
For some strange reason I haven`t really noticed much of an improvement, and in some cases it being worse after doing this!
Dragonsblade71uk just look at the fuel consumption meter with awd and without to notice
Yeah u will notice same as if u are stuck n just keep hitting the gas .. I know better than to do that btw I just wanted to see how detailed they went
In real life, turn it off to save transmission.

Could you imagine this game and truck mechanic simulator blended into one would make an even better game, work to fix your trucks up
Trucks would be sweet dlc. So we can pretend ice road truckers.
That would be amazing.
also imagine it with a live action chair with wheels and pedals, WITH VR.
Dizzy Still we’ll get there one day
Jackson Fisher yes you will
Driving trucks at night, the game looks like a zombie shooter 😂
🤔... Could be a new twist for a game?! Imagine: Hauling stuff in a Zombie Apocalypse! Day or Night...😅
Nathaniel Andrews straight up 😂
@@jlyvren89 halloweeeeeeeen event maybe ?
That's because game uses swarm engine which is used in games like world war z.

"Americans get better at doing your roads"
As a fellow Brit, I would like to point out that our roads could use some love as well
Yeah thats right
So true
As my friend would put it
*Laughs in New Zealand*
O tealy
Iam bait to so true
You can bust through the road closed signs instead of going offroading at the first spot
Thats what i do its saves you fuel
@Chandler Allen yea but it saves u time
Or you can just go around.. lol
I do that to save time and fuel

You should really upgrade your tires to mud tires, that would make such a big difference
It takes a while to unlock that, you have to do a lot of missions first.
Stefano De Marco- It would also make a big difference if he stopped driving like a complete tit!!!l
David Earea lol you should see me. I’m still learning how to play this game. Mad respect rn for truckers.
He didnt even get the better tires that where unlocked he just left them stock
First thing I did on the ‘Rado. Uncovered almost all of Alaska with just that.
Watchin this in 2024 with over 9000 hours into snowrunner myself. Having a few solid laughs at the new experiences of the past
Great stuff my dude we need that loo roll

My OCD would have me drive around and unlock all the Watchtowers first
exactly what i did
I had to recover a couple of times though after I ran out of fuel
That is what I've been working on
Also riot I recommend getting off-road tyres on the red truck as it will cause more friction in the mud for a smoother run and could make it a bit faster but up to you
You can't get non Highway tires until level 6 which takes a long time

yes Scott please use the wheel for this game!!
No wheel support
You didnt have your rear diff on through the second load. That's why you struggled.
*100 liters of fuel* “We’re really low on fuel!”
*57 liters of fuel* “We’ve got PLENTY of fuel!”
😂😂😂
lol
100 feels low when you are new to the game and slogging through a swamp. 57 is plenty when you have clear roads and a gas station not far ahead.
I found raised suspension for Chevy pickup and also upgraded tyres. It's so much better now than it was at the beginning.
The scout 800 comes with diff lock by default giving it a slight advantage over the Chevy imo.

That Fleetstar f2070 has been a LIFESAVER in this game!. I just started playing a couple weeks ago....I'M HOOKED!

Icy tarmac? That's dangerous.
What's funny is I used that truck all through the starting world and most of the way trough alaska it's a great truck
Fleetstar is amazing once you put some upgrades on it.
Happy to see a new episode! Thanks. The environmental conditions are amazing.
