Fils and Perricard are really two promising young players who will soon reach the top 10! As a Frenchman I can only be happy!
If they both stay fit, then top 20? As an English ex coach, I hope they both do really well. Both inspiring to watch and to see them develop.

Immense potential. It seems to me that Perricard is more composed but, on the other hand, Fils backhand is more reliable and his footwork is better.

Very cool to see a lot of the young guys win against the older gen today. Shelton and Fils, but also Rune and Perricard. All four semifinalists in Basel were born in the 2000s.
We saw some of it in Vienna as well with Musetti beating Zverev. New gen is thriving! A preview of 2025?

Dude MP is scarily fast for a 2+ meter guy, it's not even an Opelka thing where he still seems heavy-footed but can run fast, but all of his movements feel super light-footed.
Perricard has a good backhand and it is nice that he can play serve and volley.Hope we can see more in the future 👏.

All of these matches were high level. So lovely to see. Shapo lost but he was looking really good out there. It’s just that Mpetshi Perricard was a bit better today. Incidentally enough, he slayed two Canadians back to back 😂

Wow this highlights really reflect the changes ongoing in tennis world 😮 Tsitsipas and Shapo seemed like they played their best ones in this season though.

I am starting to feel sorry for the doomed generation of previously promising top 10 players like Tsitsipas, Rublev, Zverev, Shapovalov and Auger-Aliassime. They’ve all probably hoped to peak when the Big 3 retire but even before Djokovic says goodbye they have started to regularly lose to the hungry pack of young talents. At least Medvedev managed to win a slam, but he might end up as the only one from the generation. It’s a joke Ruud was the second closest with three GS finals. Now all of them are weaker than Alcaraz and Sinner and the list of other young top 10 potentials keeps growing. Shelton, Rune, Draper, Fils, Mpetshi Perricard, Mensik, Machac, Musetti and bunch of other Italians have all improved a lot over the last year. Good to see many of them going deep in tournaments.

Idk, I doubt it though. He actually looked pretty good this week. He needs to improve a bit though or yes, these young guys will push him out. But he is still not so old himself, so I think he COULD have plenty of time at the top still.
